Just booked POFQ for January trip room only with CAA 20% discount. Now to watch for AP or GP discounts.
Last January CAA (Canadian AAA) was the best room only, until they came out with the stay/play/dine, where room was discounted 30% and DDP was discounted too.

I noticed FQ is now included in wdw room discounts? Before they seemed to be excluded. I hope this continues. :goodvibes

I just got back from POFQ today and the resort is just amazing. This was my familys first time staying on site and I don't think we could have picked a better place. From the theming to the size to the staff everything was perfect. Our room was even upgraded to a garden view and every request I sent them was taken care of. I was also able to use my magic bands for everything on the resort for the entire trip!(after the POFQ staff fixed the mess that the POP staff did to them....) It is going to be hard to stay anywhere else.

Hi Sue! :) hoping you get a great discount! I'm looking forward to my first porFQ stay in 72 days! :)

Thanks Marie! Too bad our timing is off!! We enjoyed our stay last January here, and nice that POR food court is a short walk away, love the make your own pasta bar there!

That's how we felt our first stay there. Hmmm around 1994 and we have never stayed elsewhere since

Hi, Sue! I am also looking forward to returning to the FQ again; it has been a few years since my last stay. Nice it is being included in the discounts again, although it does tend to be the lower end of the percentage.

We have a very nice discount through a travel agency who hosts a gathering in early December every year - a "Reunion" for those who enjoyed MouseFest. The DIS hosts something around the same dates, I believe.:thumbsup2

Happy planning! :goodvibes

Home after another perfect stay at POFQ. Did online check in and was greeted by a CM immediately who had a room ready for us when we arrived on the ME at 11 a.m. 3rd floor, bldg. 4, as per my requests which I submitted at original booking and followed up with a fax 4 days prior to our arrival. In past trips, I've been granted a late check out on our departure day, but since we were in bldg. 4, which seems to be in high demand, we had to check out at the regular time of 11 a.m. Boat to DTD was great with very little wait both times we used it, once in the evening and the second time early afternoon. The only time we ate at the foodcourt this trip was once for breakfast, one other time just for beignets, and the rest of the time to refill our mugs several times per day, but it was never super crowded. We swam in the pool every day, not too crowded and just fabulous after long park days, the hot tub was great as well. Our entire trip went smoothly, which is what we've come to expect from a stay at POFQ. Can't wait to start planning our next trip, probably for this coming spring and the Flower and Garden Festival. :) Low crowds were wonderful at all the parks, except we just happened to be in the MK last Wednesday which was opening day for the new princess meet and greet...the masses of people in Fantasyland! Luckily, we were kid-less this trip so managed to avoid it all for the most part. ;)

P.S. Despite all the bad reviews of dinner at BOG, we loved it. Our server was wonderful, the restaurant interior is simply breathtaking, the food was very good. The only drawback was that the desserts are pretty nothing, I had the cream puff which seemed grocery store quality and DH wasn't impressed with the strawberry cupcake. So glad I kept our ADR, and will definitely go back next time.

It is going to be hard to stay anywhere else.

We discovered that after our 2010 stay. So we haven't stayed anywhere else since :)

Glad you had a good time. I know that no resort is going to suit everyone, but this is, IMO, a resort that's pretty hard not to like. We always find the CM's so incredibly attentive, friendly and helpful and that is all part of the appeal to us because we feel it adds to the overall atmosphere in a big way

Question: Is it possible to do OLCI for the resort and not add a card? It's not that I can't or don't have one but I generally opt out of room charging so if it's not mandatory then I'm going to do that. Otherwise I might skip OLCI and just go to the desk

could you tell me what happened with your bands? we are staying at pop one night then going on a dcl cruise for two weeks and then on to pofq for a 4 day stay.
the bands are showing up for our one night stay at pop but nothing for pofq. do we use the same ones? are they now good for all stays?
questions, questions.....:)

Thats exactly how we felt. It was so nice to walk into the lobby and be greeted by no less then 3 people. Then to find out our room was ready early and they were able to fix my bands. My brother in law was actually staying at riverside and I had to head over there to pick up a bag. I thought it was nice over there but the size of it was just too much. I didn't like having to take a hike to refill a mug.

questions, questions.....:)

Our issues started at pop. I'm not sure what the hold up was but it took about an hour and a half and 2 trips to the front desk to be able to open our rooms. Then the next day our bands didn't work for anything and I discovered I had 3 bands assigned to my name.... Guest relations got us into the parks but they weren't fully working until POFQ CMs took care of it.

You will use the same bands and they did work for everything after the issue at the start of the trip. Dining, rooms, charging, and FP+ all worked 100% the rest of the trip.

I am at Pop now & when I checked in they gave me a Magic band. I did not want to put my annual pass onto the band because after Pop, we are staying at New Orleans French Quarter & they are not offering the magic bands for testing at this resort until 9/30/2013. I will wait until they get all the problems worked out before I apply my annual pass to this.:thumbsup2

Finally get to go back after 4 years away and can't wait. I feel like I am going home :yay: Check in Sept 30 through Oct 7! And just in time for Magic Bands :cheer2:

I would take the bands with you to POFQ. They should work fine once you get checked into FQ then just apply your annual pass to it. Again we had no more issues once we were checked into POFQ and the FP+ is really great.

So excited to be going back to my favorite moderate. Planning on May 17th, 2 rooms as there will be 5 of us for this trip. Cannot wait!

Yep, it does make choosing somewhere else quite trick... and that's why we don't do it! We just stick to POFQ which is perfect every way you slice it!

Oh, how I miss home! Just a few more 400 days

44 more days until we are "home" for the Wine & Dine Half Marathon. I try my best not to do the countdown thing so that I don't get complacent at work but it's hard. :rotfl2:

My wife is no help too. Every night when I get home she brings up what she wants to eat at our different ADR's. It changes daily so she feels the need to inform me. :rotfl:

I love POFQ and had planned to go back this OCT. However my mom decided to come along on the trip.

She is a deluxe kinda girl. She was also really interested in Free Dining. So I knew we would have a not so great shot at FQ.

When mom came along I decided to let her have most of the input and showed her some options that were rumored. She loved the RGR's at POR, so I was part of the morning rush to get a RGR Garden View w/FD. (not a huge heart ache as I had thought I would eventually try out the AB rooms at POR)

However I miss FQ and am already trying to decide whether or not to change my RO Jan Value ressie to FQ if they get a decent winter sale rate.

FQ is addicting and I'm going to miss it this trip.

I'll be at POFQ by 1pm tomorrow! :cool1:

Andre, if you need anymore pics of anything let me know!
