We're checking in to POR on Sept 22nd (yippee!). I did the Magic Bands, and got my FastPass+ stuff all reserved. I was wondering if anyone has gotten a FastPass+ for BOG lunch on Sept 27th or later? It says none available for that day and the 28th, but there are available times for every other day before the 27th. I was wondering if maybe the system hasn't gotten that far yet? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that is the case!

I did online check in Wednesday, FP+'s completed on Thursday and did the Magic Bands on Friday. I expected Mickey mail today (and it was right on time, so to speak), since today is 17 days prior to check in Sept 5th.

As of right now my magic bands say they are shipping soon. I have heard that they may arrive about the same time that changes! I should get them in one or two days. I will report immediately!

I shot a number of panoramas around Riverside while I was there, and also got one of the new POFQ lobby.

Here's one from the Riverside bridge between the main building and Ol' Man Island that I've just finished working on. I've created HQ versions too, plus Quicktime files for the Flash-challenged iPeople:

This panorama is the best sense I've ever gotten of the placement of the main pool, harbor, restaurants, AB and Mansions. We'll done.

WOW!! Those panoramas are incredible!! I am such a nut for landscaping! I can not get over how green everything is! Did you use a filter on those panoramas or is it really that lush and green! Loved it!!! Thanks so much for sharing!

Guessing you did online check in and that must have activated your MB ability. I check in on 9/26, did not do online check in and no MB ability....wondering if online check in is the key here.....

I had my 27 year old computer & Disney geek son help me through the process and we spent a good while doing it! It was suprisingly easy and intuitive: I liked the suggestions and only changed them slightly once I selected the appropriate one. I'd still be arranging FP+'s if I was doing it by myself.

It is absolutely ridiculous to be anxious and excited about a silly ol' rfid bracelet - come on! But I am. We DIS'ers are a silly lot.

In the main pool I read there was a wading pool. Is that what I've read is the 3 foot depth?

Is that the only option for tots? Is there something else anywhere?

We are 32 days out (c/i 9/21 and then again 9/26)....

I got two bands for those two stays - first at contemporary and the second at POR!!!!

I am happy, oh so happy!!!

It says " There is also a separate shallow childrens pool" What are they calling shallow I am
Wondering. Like less then knee deep on a tot? I've also never seen a pic of a childs pool anywhere.

That was part of the idea of shooting a pano from there, it includes a lot of elements of the resort in one shot.

It is mid-August which can dry up the foliage somewhat, but the place is still very green and beautiful. I didn't use any filters, but I did warm the colour temperature of the images up a little from the camera raw which felt a bit cold.

No, the separate kids pool is only about 18 inches deep.

I've also never seen a pic of a childs pool anywhere.

You've not checked out the Gallery on my site then I assume?

I'm checking in to POR September 5th and just received my 5:15pm by UPS delivery. I also received an email at 2:05pm with the same exact information. I posted pictures of the envelope and flyer on the "Any September Guests received FP+ testing invite?"

5:15am this morning received the shipping email! (I was not sitting up all night waiting for it, honest!) When I checked, MDE in the Magic Bands area says simply, "Shipped to TIMOTHY WILLIAMS."

Now I'll see how long it takes. (Yawn)

The new system was up and running yesterday when we went for dinner. My kids were using paper cups that had a chip on the bottom. Two out of three refills wouldn't fill the cup all the way and we had to play around with both the paper cups and my mug before it would work. I have to say, I'm not real fond of sitting my mug or cup on the wet sticky tray to fill it. I wish you could just scan it and fill it instead. Maybe once the kinks are worked out it will be better but it was kind of chaotic filling our drinks last night.

I have been following this thread since we decided to stay at POR back in April and love all of the great info.

I have a question about faxing in room requests. Here is my situation, there are a total of 3 families going; 2 checking in on 11/23 (garden view because of FD) and 1 checking in on 11/26 (standard view). I want to send in one request for all 3 reservations. When should I send in it 5 days before 11/23 or 5 days before 11/26? All the reservations should be linked already.

Is the following too much to request:
1. Rooms close by (not necessary to be connecting or adjoining; same bld, same floor, same general area)
2. Mansion building
3. 1st floor (due to mobility issues; may have a scooter)

Possibly a 4th, but this may not make sense if requesting the mansions
4. Close to food court (again due to mobility issues)
