Coming to you Live from Disney World!-Take 2 AUG/SEPT WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Then back over to Tina (AlohaAnnie) to see what she is up to...

She said, "We decided to pool hop to Old Key West for an afternoon swim. (Don't worry we are DVC members.) We wanted to check out the resort for a possible future stay."

"We decided to have lunch at Good's Food to Go."

"We had the Chicken Breast Nuggets with French fries. Nachos with cheese and an order of onion rings."

Ok, let's see where emmebear went next after leaving Animal Kingdom, shall we?

Instead of going straight to another park, she took a lunch break at AoA's...

"Not too crowded." :thumbsup2

"I'm a bit disappointed as I wanted the butter chicken but its only available for dinner. The 20% TIW discount makes the disappointment less bitter." ;)

emmebear chose the Tandoori Boneless Chicken Thigh Meal with Naan bread and spinach, paneer and cauliflower...

"I got 3 small pieces of chicken but she gave me a whole bunch of spinach. The coriander sauce is also a nice touch."

"Lunch is a bargain. The 20% discount is so nice! Chicken was a wee bit dry but the coriander sauce is great on top. And the one piece of cauliflower is kind of sad too."

"But I clearly hated my lunch." :p

Our next update was sent to us by cindymindy.

Yesterday Cindy and Robby had lunch at Epcot's...

For her appetizer, Cindy had the...

Tlacoyos de Chilorio - Corn cakes topped with black refried beans, pork chilorio, queso fresco, sour cream and green tomatillo sauce

And Robby started with the...

Coctel de Camarón - Acapulco-style shrimp cocktail, served with spicy marinated tomato sauce, fried flour chicharrón, avocado and lime

For her main course, Cindy chose the ...

Tacos de Carne - Grilled New York strip on flour tortillas, topped with chipotle pepper sauce, scallions and avocado and served with rice and beans

"I don't like Mexican rice, but the tacos and beans were good. The steak was actually tender and had a nice kick." :thumbsup2

Cindy didn't say what Robby ordered, but it looks like Arrachera Con Chilaquiles - New York strip steak with chilaquiles (layers of fried corn tortillas, green tomatillo sauce, topped with queso fresco, onion, and sour cream), served with black refried beans. :scratchin

And not sure what it is, but it looks like Robby also got dessert...

I'm going to say...Helado de Dulce de Leche - caramel ice cream??? :confused3

HAVE A GREAT TRIP, Goofyluver & Uncle Remus!!! :cool1:

We can't wait! We're hoping if we go to bed realllly early tonight that tomorrow will come really fast!

Is the appetizer pic from San Angel Inn showing up weird for anyone else?

I wondered if anyone would notice the "Twilight Zone" pic. :lmao: I'm pretty sure I've gotten a picture like that one other time, but can't remember if it was also taken at San Angel??? :confused3

Next in today were some Magic Kingdom snack updates from spaceacewannabe.

The first one from Adventureland's...

Raspberry Lemonade Slush

Then from Tomorrowland's...

Lunching Pad

And then some display case pics from the new Fantasyland area's...

Big Top Treats

2 June Game Points Earned + 3 Bonus Points for sign, menu and display case pics

Then we received the first update from a new reporter who arrived at Disney World today, vikkii19.

She said, "Finally arrived at SSR for the next 3 nights. Lunch was at WPE. The place was packed as its Cars Masters Weekend, but it was worth the wait."

Wolfgang Puck Express

"Here is DH waiting for our food."

Rotisserie Turkey Club with avocado, bacon, red onion, plum tomatoes, romaine, remoulade and chips

"DH had the turkey club. He liked it, but didn't care for the avocado spread on it."

Half Rotisserie Chicken with garlic butter, rosemary and mashed potatoes

"I had the rotisserie chicken. This was huge, DH had to help me finish it."

"DH had the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake."

"I had the creme brulee. It's a fairly decent creme brulee, especially for CS food."

Next let's check in with emmebear to see how she's doing with her mission to visit all 4 parks in one day.

After her lunch break at AoA it was on to Park #3...

"They moved this to DHS."

Then it was Rockin' Rollercoaster time... :cool1:

Next while waiting for her fast pass time for Tower of Terror...

She visited the nearby...

Where she got a...

Frozen Golden Margarita

"That margarita gave me brain freeze! Think that margarita will bring on diabetes type II. So sweet!"

Then it was time for...

And last some character visits...

"My favorites!!"

And last but not least...

Then it was off to Magic Kingdom! :thumbsup2

1 June Game Point Earned + 7 Bonus Points for sign, menu, pics of emmebear and misc. other pics

And speaking of Magic Kingdom, Tina (AlohaAnnie) & family were there this afternoon and sent us a snack update from the new Fantasyland's...

"We had 2 vanilla cake pops covered with chocolate, one red velvet cake pop covered in chocolate and a Mickey head brownie."

1 June Game Point Earned + 5 Bonus Points for sign, display case pics and pic of family

I wondered if anyone would notice the "Twilight Zone" pic. :lmao: I'm pretty sure I've gotten a picture like that one other time, but can't remember if it was also taken at San Angel??? :confused3

Lol! that is funny! I thought it was my computer.

Now back to emmebear, who made a detour on her way to Magic Kingdom, stopping at the Polynesian Resort's...

"I'm early for dinner at Kona so to pass my time I'm having a drink."

Dirty Martini

Then it was time for dinner at...

Kona Sweet Bread and Macadamia Butter

"Macadamia butter = Epic" :thumbsup2

"They have chopsticks! I'm right at home!"

emmebear started with this appetizer...

Pot Stickers - wok-seared pork and vegetable dumplings with creamy ginger-soy sauce

A close-up shot...

And a look inside...

"I was hoping for 'Ohana potstickers but these weren't. These are steamed and pretty tasty though. I wish they were pan seared just a few minutes longer for a more crispy texture. The seaweed salad was a little spicy. Unexpected and tasty."

For her entree, emmebear chose the...

Sesame Seared Sea Scallops with rice, wakami salad and tarragon-champagne beurre blanc

"These definitely don't compare to the scallops at Flying Fish or California Grill but for $19, it was a great portion. I could've done without the seaweed salad...it made my rice really soggy. Scallops were seared well. Great entree."

"The rice also had some butter and sesame oil on it...reminded me of my childhood."

emmebear didn't have dessert but she sent us a pic of the menu...

"Cheap dinner plus free valet! I'm keeping my car here and taking the monorail to Magic Kingdom."

"Mission complete!"

Though emmebear didn't get to do any rides because it started raining, she did take this interesting pic of the not yet opened Main Street Bakery window...

"Oh yeah. It's official." :sad1:

7 June Game Points Earned

One more update and then it's time to call it a night.

Here is cindymindy's dinner update from last night at Epcot's...

First some menu pics...

"Love the light up menus!"

"Robby started with the famous cheddar cheese soup. Of course he loved it! So creamy, so cheesy!"

Seared Scallops with English Peas, Red Onion Marmelade, Carrot Puree, Pea Tendrils, and Smoked Bacon Snow

"I opted for the scallops. I feel like this is a running theme of our trip, no? ;)
The white on top was a bacon snow. It tasted like frothy smoke. In other words, yummmm! Once again, not as tender as Flying Fish, but still very well prepared."

"For the main course, I got the filet mignon, but opted for veggies and potatoes as my sides."

"The filet was creamy and cooked perfectly, but it couldn't live up to the steak I had at Yachtsman."

"Robby decided to go out with a bang and get the porterhouse."

"This was man meat! Look how well he did!"

"This was his favorite steak of week, even topping Yachtsman."

"Now on to dessert."

"Robby had the white chocolate cheesecake."

White Chocolate Cheesecake with Citrus Shortbread Cookie, Seasonal Berries, and Raspberry Air

"The air was tart and balanced the sweetness of the cheesecake."

"I had the blueberry ginger sorbet."

Blueberry Ginger Sorbet with Lemon Snow and Candied Ginger

"If you're thinking what I'm thinking, it doesn't look very appetizing, but it was actually very good!"

"The service really made up for our terrible service at San Angel Inn. I think they enjoy living up to being such a nice country! As other posters have noted, yes, the tables are close together. We even made fast friends with our neighbors. We generally don't mind loud, busy restaurants so this did not bother us. We ended the night with a "round" of O' Canada (our favorite!) and then Illuminations!"

1 June Game Point Earned + 1 Bonus Point for First Update of the Day

Since I am finally caught up with the live updates, it's now time to perform one of my other duties as keeper of the live thread...recruiting reporters! ;)

July

July 22 - 25 - Need 1 or 2 more reporters

July 26 - 31 - We have no reporters at all during this time.

I'll do it! We will be at WDW 7/27-8/3.
