Hi there! We are on the 6/27 Med cruise, and I have been stalking your board looking for updates...this is one thing I have been looking for...how were the fountains?

Was it worth it? Did you see the Disney themed show? How crowded was it...safety??

Sitting at Jfk now the plane is already here so that is already a plus. We were supposed to get those storms but they turned so about an hour and a half until the flight see everyone if not in Barcelona then on the ship Saturday. Safe travels to those of you who have to fly out tommorow

Fountains were good. We were with a tour group, watched the 9 and 9:30 show. The group did not stay for the Disney show. It was worth the time. This was a family event and we felt completely safe. We stood back about 50 yards, had an unobstructed view of the whole show. There was literally no one in front of us for the first 40 feet.

Disney has spoiled us and the fountains were kind of meh for me. We went for the Disney remix and it was still light out. Perhaps it looks better in the dark with lights. We could barely hear the music and then it abruptly stopped. Apparently 2 people decided to join the show by jumping into the fountain and it was a show stopper.

For anybody subbed to this thread to glean info for their cruise, here's tip 1 for La Spezia. If you're going to Luca and Pisa ( and probably Florence) sit on the right side of the bus. The sun seems to favour the left side for almost the entire trip. It was very hot today. We were all expiring from the heat.

We were not, but the following one to Venice will be charged 21% VAT for onboard purchases.

We are on the 7/13 sailing. I assume y'all weren't charged because of the ports that were non EU?

Turkey was our non EU port.

We sailed Med 07 too and we are also on the 7/13!!

The Internet will never be any good on the ship, but we can always hope!

Internet connection is slow.

Please remember it is a satellite connection.

Also, have guest services help you with printing your boarding paseses for your return flight.

One couple spent their 250mins. Trying to print their printouts.

I called guest services after 5 mins. Of having an issue.

The best time to use the ship wifi is when everybody is off the ship. LOL. Or the odd hours of the morning.
