Thanks, WDWKOOK :) I did on-line check-in earlier. Hoping to have a room ready when we arrive that morning before heading to the MK :cool1:
I just can't wait! :yay: My DD has never stayed at CR before. BLT but not CR pixiedust:

The only thing preventing me from doing on-line check in is even though I always request a room on the opposite end of Chef Mickey's, they never listen and have to change our room:sad2:.

We are coming off a cruise out of Port Canaveral and will be arriving at the CR pretty early. It would be nice to do on-line check in to have the room ready though when we get there. How many days before can you do on line check-in?

I'm staying at AKL before checking into CR for one night. I'm not doing on-line check-in for AKL b/c I almost always get pretty bad views when I do ;) My location requests have not been met.
What does work out is that my rooms have always been ready. That's why I'm doing it for CR. We only have one night there, so I would like to have the room as early as possible.

Hopefully you'll get your location request, but if having your room ready supercedes that, then I would definitely do on-line check-in and give them your arrival time :thumbsup2 Good luck.

California Grille is accepting ADRs in November. So, if all else fails and everything goes terribly of course, they are planning on definately being open by November.

I just called to book for December ans was told "we are not accepting reservations yet - call back at a later time" (this was from a human - not the internet!).

You're right, it's not booking online either. There were some websites reporting that they would soon take ADRs for November, but so far, they still aren't accepting them. But the head chef is still predicting an early September opening.

Checked in to BLT 1 bedroom today. Room was ready. Standard view that's awesome (IMO) and absolutely loving it so far!!
Yippee for loving BLT! Hope we get some view pictures soon;)

Sweet!!! Enjoy your stay!!! :cool1:

Just booked a 1 BDRM TPV for March! Woot woot!! Only 286 more days to go! :rotfl:
Congratulations on booking TPV! All your ADR planning and chit chat here will help get you to March faster.

Where does one find the "Log-orail?"

We're staying August 13-20 in the Garden Wing.

Hi!

The hubs and I will be staying at the CR Sept. 8-12 before going on the Dream for 3 days. This will be our 2nd stay at CR. The first was when we were first dating in 1994! It was my first time at WDW and we chose the CR. I loved staying right where the monorail was. This time we are there for his work conference so we won't be doing the parks. But no worries, we just did a family trip this past Dec. and spent 4 days in the parks. I get to bum around while he attends his "classes".

So, a heads up for those of you staying there Sept. 9-11. There is a large Project Management Conference during those days and the official accommodations are at the CR.

A lovely new CR video by Corey Martin, our esteemed DIS President, has been uploaded HERE.

His new CR photo tour is posted HERE.

Your hostess will be taking a vacation soon:beach:, so I might fall behind in posting for about a week:flower3:

Thank you and I hope you have a wonderful resort-only visit. BTW, I think they have a special conference pass that allows park entry after 4 at a reduced rate.

Hi, Please add us to the BLT, trying a studio this time.. September 24-29, before the Disney Vacation Club Member Cruise (our first!). Deb and Jed

Hi all. My teen daughter and I are staying at the Grand Floridian this year, but next year we're travelling with 2 family members and we've decided on the Contemporary! Exciting! We will be reserving Garden Wing/garden view rooms to help budget a longer trip (12 days). I have a question. Well, two questions. 1. If we request adjoining rooms, do they also have adjoining patios? That would be very cool! 2. Is there any advantage to facing the pool, or facing Bay Lake? I know we'll have a blast in any situation, but I like to plan ahead... I'm a teacher... which means constant micro-manager. Any tips welcome.
Have a great day!!!!!
