Polynesian: Pics of updated rooms Hawaii

We are thinking of staying at the Poly after our cruise in May 2014 - yeah I know, ages away

Does anyone know what the roll out of the renovations are?

Will all the longhouses be renovated by the time of our stay?

I believe all of the room renovations will be completed by the fall (when my wife and I are going). But to be sure check out the tikiman's website.

I am in the minority, but do not like the rooms at all..the only thing I kinda like are the turtles and the wall sconces next to the bed..just think the color scheme is like putty and old 1950s sanitarium colors...when I think of Hawaii I think of bolder green and floral colors...just maybe the colors are off a hue or two..something along these lines would bring more pop...

Oddly, we stayed at the Contemporary for their last reno (8 years ago) and did not like all the crazy colors but LOVE the new Contemporary rooms..just has a better flow, although no pop of color it seems very soothing, although the red chair is pretty cool

I love these pictures!! The Poly is such a beautiful resort and I agree with a PP, this makes the rooms seem brighter.

I really like the the look of the new decor.
I liked the last 2 refurbs as well! Light or dark, Disney's Polynesian Resort is quintessential Disney with all it's magic!

Personally I really like the new rooms from the pics I have seen. I never went to Poly before because I found the rooms shown were dark and looked outdated to me. I love those types of new comforters on the beds. Much better than those stiff bedspreads they used before.
I am booked for September and cannot wait to see the rooms in person. SO excited!

Anyone have pictures of their 1-bedroom suites? Was told they have 2queen in bedrm, 1 daybed in parlor rm separated by door,.(mini living rm?) Was also told the 1 bdrm suites are on club level, in Hawaii bldg. Would love to see pic - can't find any online.

The 1 BR suites (and all suites) are not in the Hawaii building. They are in Tonga. I think the CMs on the phone may get confused because the suites are CL and Hawaii is a dedicated CL building. Tonga has some kind of limited lounge offerings and guests staying there also have access to the main club lounge in the Hawaii building. Tkiiman has suite pictures on his site but I do not know if they are current or not. Someone else might know.
