Tomorrow is my 180 Day out mark!

I guess the consensus idea would be to get BoG first?
Yep! :thumbsup2

If you want dinner there, yes!!

Koh, You are wise. ::yes::

Any of you know whether I'd need a lunch ADR for the Grand Floridian Cafe? Or The Wave for breakfast? Was thinking about keeping it simple with ADRs this time so I don't hyperventilate and feel pressured. :rotfl: I've only got 2 ADRs at the moment...

So far I've got the following possible-plans based on all-appendages-crossed-having-APs:

  • Day 1: Head over to MK for a little bit. Artist Point at 7:45pm (our anniversary)
  • Day 2: Not sure about making any ADRs here. It'll be a Sunday and I was thinking of doing DHS or AK this day, maybe Epcot later in the evening.
  • Day 3: Epcot on a Monday during F&W? Hoping the crowds will be lighter on a Monday. Possibly head over to DHS via boat in the evening for a Star Tours marathon.
  • Day 4: Be Our Guest at 4:10pm on hubbo's birthday (which also happens to be the night of a potential MNSSHP)
  • Day 5: Cry because we're going home.

Thinking about adding lunch at GF Cafe during one of the days but wanted to keep the schedule fairly open.

Hi Missout
-Before I forget, If I see Snow I'll ask her to send a few of her friends over. She doesn't need all 7 of them....:rotfl2:

About your ADR musings, I will sometimes make a just in case reservation at a place that doesn't require a CC hold. If you make these now, you can probably tweek them close to when arrive if your plans change due to weather, or what have you. I've changed lunch/dinner reservations like this the morning of, even. And it's nice you can easily cancel without penalty. That might be a helpful thing to consider about your Grand Floridan Cafe and The Wave. We've eaten at the cafe, really like it! We're trying The Wave this time around, word seems to be getting out on it-very positive.

Your anniversary and birthday plans for dh sound lovely! Enjoy!!:goodvibes

 Welcome back, MissPackingCube. Hope everyone's week is off to a good start.

Kook Sounds like a fun split!!
:goodvibes Thank you.

Kook - I agree new photobucket stinks!!! Love the new split! :thumbsup2 This one sounds like it has very good potential for sticking! ::yes::
Yes, much sticking potential.

Wow, Iheart...you look like a teenager in those pictures.
::yes::

Kook: :cool1: Your split sounds fab!!:cool1:

So....really crappy day here with the DD's. I lost track of how much fighting went on between them, how much sassing....:rolleyes2 and how much overall crankiness. I went to see DH's band play last night (for all of 3 songs, and then I left. they went on at 11:30 pm :scared1: Too late for me!) My Dad babysat, let them stay up late and watch dancing the the stars, and painted their finger nails and toe nails.:cutie: But as a result we had very tired girls today. AND DH and I were tired and cranky too. I feel badly, and am going to make them pancakes for brekkie tomorrow.

I just can't wait for this trip. We need some family time having fun again. That is what I miss right away after we get back from WDW, just plain ol togetherness and FUN!! We need that in our busy, rushed and hectic lives. CAN'T WAIT!!!
You're a good mom who needs a good vacation:)

Kook!! You'll be there same time I am!! :-) We'll be over at AKL, but we'll have to see if we have any similar ADRs for a meet up sometime. :-)

That sounds sooooo yummy!! I put peanut butter on pancakes all the time. :-)

As Paul Blart said, "Peanut butter fills the cracks in your heart." So true, so true...

boo...I miss kook too..but if I'm in Melbourne...I may make a detour home to stop by bay lake.

the bw bakery pics helped...you know me so well...I added a day this morning Brandon already told me he wants to go on tot every day and the slide too..hrh said she needs to try desserts there every night....I love the bay lake split...awaiting the blt to become available...triple threat perhaps.....
Blimey! Is there a Melbourne inlet that reaches Bay Lake? When we lived in Key West we would go up to Patrick AFB in Cocoa Beach north of Melbourne. Great surf!

Yippee for adding a day! BLT sounds perfect with what Brandon and HRH want to do...but, what does Mommy4.0 want to do?

KOOK the CR/WL split sounds ideal but I do have to wonder if we will see another change if BLT opens up for your dates? ;)

good Morning All
:rotfl::stir:
You and me both:rolleyes1. But, if I don't call, then I won't know, right?

Good Morning!!!

Well, we woke up in wonderful NH this morning!!! And right back into our crazy schedules...

We didn't get home until about 1:45 am and the girls were in bed by 2:15 (they slept a bit on the plane and on the limo ride home). Well, because of the attendance policy at DD8 school, she had to be at school this morning at 8:35 am (she made it but was NOT happy)....

I have started washing clothes (don't go back to work until tomorrow). I am currently enjoying a delicious Dunkin's coffee which is directly where DH went after dropping DD at school. DD6 is home today, her school is alot more forgiving with attendance.

DD8 also has softball practice tonight and tomorrow is her birthday and they have their first game of the season....I will be glad when this week is over...the poor girl...

Will be putting together a trip report of some sort...when I have time...ahhhhhh back to the real world.

Thank God for amazing vacations!!!
Welcome home!

The one and only. :thumbsup2 This change I expected for you. Sea Raycer split sounds great! Um, what happened to those FWC again? :lmao: ....We overlap again this year.
YAY for overlapping and YAY for the change you expected:thumbsup2. FWC? Well that was a peak/holiday rate panic choice:rolleyes1

Kook-A Sea Racer split sounds like lots of fun. You guys will have a great time!:boat:

Now it's time for me to get busy. My freezer is pretty empty, so I'm off to make a big pot of chili.
Spring is here for sure! The birds are chirping, and the daffodils are blooming.
 Waving hi to RCers I've missed, have a great day!!!

Love chili (with cornbread) and I always add a smidgen of red wine;)

I'm so confused and need some advice from my fellow resort changers who have helped me in the past. I have a reservation booked with a FD BB this August at CSR, staying in business class. When I initially booked this, we were on a tight budget (due to unexpected medical expenses), knew a deluxe this year was out of the question and was fine knowing we were booking business class at CSR. Well, fast forward a few months, I got a very good bonus, caught up on paying everything with a few bucks to spare. DH is turning 50 this year and I decided to surprise him with an adult only trip in October for F&W and I booked BC CL using a 40% discount thru my very good friend who is a CM :). We've never really gone away without the kids so I should be happy with two trips this year, right? Well... I can't stop thinking about CSR in August and how much I'd prefer to be at a deluxe :(. While I know I can't do a higher end deluxe in August, I might be able to do AKL or WL. While I would have to really s-t-r-e-t-c-h my money, I could do either a pool vw at AKL or woods vw at WL, but I lose the business class, which for us means breakfast and snacks/drinks in the evening. I'm so torn. On one hand, I can talk myself into anything but on the other hand a $700 difference could be my spending money. I'm so confused...any thoughts??

I'm at a tennis match where the courts are on Long Island Sound... this would be great if it were any other day this week. Today it is spitting and maybe 60...the rest of the week sunny and upper 60- 70.

I've missed soooooo much! Eep. :crazy2: I'm not even sure I can attempt to catch up. :(

Happy Monday to all of you fabulous ladies. :grouphug: Missed you lot!

My parents left this morning. :faint: Glad to report that no adult-sized Time Out chairs were needed over the weekend. There were a few moments of bickering but it ended quickly. Actually, it was the birthday girl who was overly excited -- therefore in a not-so-stellar mood toward mommy and daddy. :upsidedow She made up for it yesterday though and was a total doll the entire day. If only she'd been that way for the preceding days...

The house looks like a pig sty. Where are those little cleaner-upper forest creatures when you need them? Snow White should really stop being so stingy and share with those of us in need.

I'm so glad you didn't have to put the adults in time out.

It's not just Snow White, but Giselle from Enchanted is being stingy with her's as well.

Tomorrow is my 180 Day out mark!

I guess the consensus idea would be to get BoG first?

WOOT!! Personally, I would do BoG first. I hope you get everything you want. :goodvibes:

Wookie - honey nut peanut butter sounds fabulous!!

It really is. I know it has a yellow label on it and I think it's Peter Pan, but I'm not sure.

DD's 2nd birthday is this Friday and she picked out Minnie for her invites, so we ordered the cake and balloons and got decorations this past weekend. So this morning she asks me if it's time for her Minnie Mouse birthday yet. :-) I think she's most excited about the Minnie balloons and cake. ;-)

Sounds like a great birthday. I hope it all goes well.

That is a hard one, but it would depend on a few things...
1. Did you pick CSR because of the resort, you felt were in your budget, it was your favorite option, or was it just your favorite option. If it was just your favorite option, in what you felt your budget was, I would change. If it was your favorite option, despite the budget, I would keep the CSR.

2. If you do not have the business class, will you eat breakfast? If you do eat breakfast, will paying OOP for it be a budget buster?

3.Are you planning on going back to the resort every night to be able to eat the snacks, or are you going to be at the parks until they close? If you don't eat breakfast and the snacks everyday, I don't see it as much of a bonus.

4.I know you said that the $700 could be spending money, but is this money strictly souvenir money or would it be used for other thing? If it's 100% only souvenir money, then I would go ahead and splurge on the Deluxe.

If you answer more of those leaning toward the Deluxe, than I would change. If not, then I would keep the CSR.

I know for us, for this trip, we booked the BC GV. We could afford it (thanks to a tax return), and so the DH gave me the go ahead to book it. I could have $1,332 for spending money if I bumped down to the Pop Century, instead of whatever I can save up between now and the trip. However, I know if I went with the Pop Century, I would be wishing we were at the BC. Plus the way I look at it, the $1,332 is paying for souvenirs. Memories of staying at the BC may not be physical souvenirs, but they are souvenirs non the less. Personally I would rather have those kind of souvenirs.

i_heart What a lovely renewal celebration! It looks like a blast.

sis BWI?! :scratchin I feel a change coming. :) Congrats on 4.0! You ROCK!!!

kook Love the new split!!! I will definitely be able to partake in the Lapu Lapu tradition. I've padded the vacation fund nicely for it. ;)

Jen Awww I feel for you with tired cranky kiddos. I had unexpected house guests all weekend. My aunt and uncle are rekindling their romance and living like teenagers so they dumped their teens at my house for the weekend. :furious: I am anxiously awaiting the announcement they are taking ADRs for CG! I can't wait.

Candace Bless your little one's heart for being able to snap right back into a full routine. I know I wouldn't be able to!

wookie Danimal has been on melatonin since he was 3. It worked at first, now not so much. His doc has him on Nyquil and Benadryl and they don't work either. Not sure what they want me to do with a 9 year old that doesn't sleep. I guess I'm just not supposed to sleep either.

Miss Glad your visitors were well behaved. :thumbsup2 At least little Miss made up for it afterwards.

pete If you plan BoG for later in your trip you should be fine. I was able to get one at 5 on the 27th, and at 6 on the 29th. :thumbsup2

Hey, I will be there when you are!!! :hyper: Maybe we will get BOG the same day so we can have another fly-bi "hi". Keep me posted on the ADRs you've made since you go first. :cool1:

MAGIC that would be awesome! When are your dates and where will you be staying?

Did the doctor put Danimal on melatonin, or did you just decide to do it. The reason I ask is because my mil acted like I was going to put him on crack when I said something about it this morning. I may go ahead and buy them some of the children's melatonin. I have a friend that uses it on her kids, and she's so paranoid about drugs with kids that she doesn't immunize them. (They are home schooled, so she can get away with that.)

Also, the DH has finally come around to my thinking about moving out. It means I would have to get a job, which will make school harder. He's just finally seen that the only reason his parents want us here, is for me to be her Cinderella. On the nights when I was at school, the mil was supposed to take care of dinner. IF she did start something, she would ask my DH to check on it and then he would end up finishing it. Mostly she would say, "well I made X for Jimmy (the fil) to eat, I'll just grab something later. You (to the DH) just take care of the food for your family." Which is exactly what she does to me if I am home and have to get school work done, or sick. Basically, if I don't cook for everyone (or she thinks I'm too busy to) then she only makes something for her and the fil. We are both just tired of that, and everything having to be their way. I know it is their house, but she is the one begging us to stay. I just can't start until after I work my friend's day care (the week of Memorial Day) and have to be able to have the time off for our WDW trip. Now the job and house hunt begin. Actually I won't look for a place to live until we have the money to move out.

Back from my weekend trip to the Great Northwest aka Seattle with DD! OMG....just changed my signature in anticipation of tomorrow....tomorrow I will be the mother of a 9 year old!!! :faint:

I can't believe that my sweet baby girl will be 9 tomorrow. Where does the time go??? :confused3

wookie His neuro had suggested it. I hemmed and hawed about for about 4 months but decided to try it. It is NOT the end of the world. I've given it to Lily a few times. There is nothing wrong with it. If you can get him to swallow pills, do that. The liquid is NASTY.

When we initially booked CSR it was based on our budget at the time. We enjoyed our last stay at CSR & the fact they were offering the business class now, pretty much sealed the deal as far as the mods go. We've been spoiled with CL on our last 2 trips so we definitely will take advantage of breakfast in the lounge each day. I can also see ourselves getting drinks in the evenings before or after dinner most nights. As for the spending/savings...the savings would not be just souvenier money. The biggest hangup I think I have is that I'm not thrilled that there isn't really a place in the lobby to sit & escape the heat without having to go back to the room. DH says I'm just over thinking everything & I admit I probably am.

Glad you enjoyed your visit to my part of the world, sorta :) we are a 3 hr drive north of Seattle. It does rain here a lot ::yes:: not nearly as much sunshine as Calif. but when the sun shines, there's no place better!
