Our little thread of BIG Resort Changes~2013 Spring RC installment

We took advantage of living in South Florida today and got outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. I needed to pick up a pastry bag and tips at the cooking store which happens to be in a posh shopping/eating area today so we strolled around a bit, then headed to the nature center across from the beach, and finally ended the afternoon with a walk on the beach. Just a perfect Florida day :beach:

Melissa: That sounds like a perfect florida day! Glad you had some nice family time. ::yes::

Well....packing up after another wonderful trip!!! We leave tomorrow night when the ME picks us up at 6:25 pm. :upsidedow

Just like last time...it was a great trip, but we are ready to go home! Tomorrow will be busy as we plan to hit AK to ride EE one more time and then book over to DHS to ride RNR and TOT again before heading home.

We had a great night at MK tonight. Spent alot of time in New Fantasyland. I have to say...I love the new additions. I wasn't sure about how Enchanted Tales with Belle would be based on what I have read, but I'll tell you, it had my jaw to the floor a couple of times...and in tears when DD6 got up on her own to go meet Belle....she's usually so shy but could not give up that opportunity...especially after watching DD8 who had gotten picked for the show (she played the silverware :goodvibes ). It was just wonderful.

BOG was fantastic. The food, the theme, the service...all fantastic. Again, because of the people on the Dis, as eager as I was to eat here, I was kind of expecting a mediocre experience, but it was absolutely amazing. We are all in agreement that BOG will be a must do for us again next year.::yes::

Well, it's late, and we have a long day of park hopping and then travel back home...we won't land in Boston until about 12:20 am :scared:

More trip details to come on Monday while I do boatloads of dirty laundry!!! :crazy2:

Candace: There is nothing like coming home, you will want to smother that little kitty of yours with kisses I am sure! I am a little worried about ours when we go. The younger one really loves to torment the older gal lately, and we have to spray him with water quite a bit. Worried for her a little. Hopefully my parents will stop in a lot to check up.

I can now say 33 more days for us!!! I am so excited to get away for a few days. I am just so fed up with daily life and stress here. :furious: Work, family, everything just seems to be annoying me. The stress is making it much harder for me to lose this weight, which makes me more upset because I hate how I look...an endless cycle. :sad2: Ok enough of my pity party. I hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying their weekend.

Oh, one more thing. I was so happy to read that Cali Grill is slated to open in September. I saw kook post it tonight on the CR thread. I have never been there and I am so looking forward to it in October!

Dani: Whoo hoo for 33 days! It will fly by. I can't believe we are less then 2 weeks out now. Crazy. We might try and do Cali Grill in November.::yes::

Jenny - Sending positive thought on DD's chicken pox. I hope it is done and gone before the trip and that nobody else gets them.

IHeart: Aw thanks, DD8's spots are almost gone now!!! Yipee! You can barely see them. The other two are so far showing no signs thank goodness. We will hope that nothing shows before we leave.

Hi friends!!! Candace and iheart~welcome home!

iheart~Queen of WDW pixiedust!!!!!!

jen~hows the casa de pollo pox my dear....you WILL make it to WDW

Ginny~big big hugs, glad you have a great Dr!

HRH did AWESOME in her MRI and I am awaiting results, on trip related news...I MAY have talked DH into a WDW trip...saving US/IoA for 2014! YAY!!!

Resort of the day...BWI CL..do not ask...I have no answer. I am thinking of going back to July so I can use my AP and the 35% off of course!!

My new class starts tomorrow...I got a 4.0 this term!! Go me!!

So who would be in WDW 7/20-26th...any RCers....

Pas:  Did all go ok with the MRI??? I love that you are going in July now...so much closer!:thumbsup2

Hope all is well with everyone!

Question...I know you can call and have a special celebration cake added and delivered to dinner somewhere...is it possible to get a re-creation of a dessert made 9 years ago when we were engaged? (Like I have a picture of it I could send or describe to them)

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Koh: I don't know the answer to your question, but what a really unique idea about the dessert! How special!:goodvibes

Is this that thread where I can report a resort change?:rotfl:

Doing the Sea Raycer split again, just changed our non-split to 6 days CR/CL then 6 days WL/CL. DH asked if he could ride the Blue Flag over from CR:boat:. I think that might be fun and I could drive the luggage over and he and DD can come through the back and meet me up front. DH changed his mind though and said he has to arrive in the front of the resort and take it all in:)

Kook: :cool1: Your split sounds fab!!:cool1:

We have had a good weekend. Other than school being a pain. Oh and the fact that my nephew (the one I had the argument with his parents) was baptized on Saturday and we were not invited.

Wookie: :(

Miss: Wherever you are....a big Happy Birthday to the lovely Miss M!!!:rainbow:

So....really crappy day here with the DD's. I lost track of how much fighting went on between them, how much sassing....:rolleyes2 and how much overall crankiness. I went to see DH's band play last night (for all of 3 songs, and then I left. they went on at 11:30 pm :scared1: Too late for me!) My Dad babysat, let them stay up late and watch dancing the the stars, and painted their finger nails and toe nails.:cutie: But as a result we had very tired girls today. AND DH and I were tired and cranky too. I feel badly, and am going to make them pancakes for brekkie tomorrow.

I just can't wait for this trip. We need some family time having fun again. That is what I miss right away after we get back from WDW, just plain ol togetherness and FUN!! We need that in our busy, rushed and hectic lives. CAN'T WAIT!!!:faint:

Wookie - I have no idea if regular 3D glasses would work :confused3 Sorry about missing your nephew's baptism  I'm glad yo uhad a good weekend otherwise :goodvibes

I thought I heard somewhere that 3D glasses would do something really cool to fireworks, but I can't remember where I heard it. Yeah, it did suck, but I've decided that if that's how she wants to act, acting going to church long enough that her son wants to be baptized, she's not getting enough out of it.

I'l try again with the photos... Sorry to those who have had to wade through them twice  Thanks for your kind thoughts :grouphug:

They were worth the wait!! Such amazing pictures. You don't look old enough to have 4 children. I love the look of pure love on your face in the first picture.

That pretty much sums it up. The boys were really upset at first, but then the fil distracted them with watching some movie.

That is so cool that your dad will paint their nails. My DH and DSs want me to make pancakes for dinner. I saw this show on peanut butter and they showed how to make French Toast stuffed with peanut butter, strawberries, and bananas. I really want to try it some time.

 Janet: Dates are 7/28 - 8/3 CR/CL and 8/3 - 8/9 WL/CL.

Congratulations Miss 4.0!! You are AWESOME! So glad the MRI went smoothly and we eagerly await good news. Innkeeper's Club huh? Was it the BW Bakery re-opening that led you to book it?. I won't ask since you didn't want us to, but I sense a change might be in your future.

I Heart: Thank you for sharing your cute photos - what a photogenic family! How was the cake? It looks good enough to eat! BTW, all your photos are the same size now. Are you using Photobucket? I HATE the changes they've made - it's horrible now. I could never create a new resort thread again with it.

chimo: Life has GOT to get better soon - it just has to. Can you call in sick or take leave next week?

Any reports from Miss Packing Cube?

Dani, is your tooth any better? Can you still drink Lapu Lapus?

Will Candace be posting a TR?

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. I can't believe April is almost over and we arrive at CR in 90 days:goodvibes

Kook!! You'll be there same time I am!! :-) We'll be over at AKL, but we'll have to see if we have any similar ADRs for a meet up sometime. :-)

good Morning All

Good Morning!!! :goodvibes

Well, we woke up in wonderful NH this morning!!! And right back into our crazy schedules...

We didn't get home until about 1:45 am and the girls were in bed by 2:15 (they slept a bit on the plane and on the limo ride home). Well, because of the attendance policy at DD8 school, she had to be at school this morning at 8:35 am (she made it but was NOT happy)....

I have started washing clothes (don't go back to work until tomorrow). I am currently enjoying a delicious Dunkin's coffee which is directly where DH went after dropping DD at school. DD6 is home today, her school is alot more forgiving with attendance. :goodvibes

DD8 also has softball practice tonight and tomorrow is her birthday and they have their first game of the season....I will be glad when this week is over...the poor girl...:faint:

Will be putting together a trip report of some sort...when I have time...ahhhhhh back to the real world. :lmao:

Thank God for amazing vacations!!! pixiedust:

She is one tough cookie. I wouldn't be worth anything with that little sleep.

Our DSs will have to go to school the day after we get back from WDW. Luckily, we will get back on Sunday, and they will be able to sleep in the minivan on the drive home.

I am thinking about starting JM on Melatonin at night. He just isn't sleeping and I can't stay up all night to make sure he doesn't sneak candy or cokes. Last night, the DH needed me to get him something from a hall closet. The closet is right by the boy's room. As I walked to it, JM came out of his room and you could tell he was shocked to see him. He acted like he need to go to the bathroom. I went back into our room and when I didn't hear the toilet flush, I went to check on him. He wasn't in his room, but I did catch him trying to sneak a Coke into his room.

Just popping in to say HI to RCers today. I've been busy with a mountain of mundane little stuff. :duck:

I will, I will! Poly. ::yes:: And then OKW the next week.... I ADORE BWI!!! Hope you keep it, although I will be at the Poly :rolleyes1. ...Congrats on your :worship: 4.0.!!!! ...My uncle will be at the anniversary party in Randolph, so I hope we don't meet in the ER. :worried:

The one and only. :thumbsup2 This change I expected for you. Sea Raycer split sounds great! Um, what happened to those FWC again? :lmao: ....We overlap again this year.

Well, we woke up in wonderful NH this morning!!! And right back into our crazy schedules... Thank God for amazing vacations!!! pixiedust:
I am so happy you had a wonderful vacation. :dance3: Now time to get back to it! :laundy: I look forward to your report. popcorn::

Hey ladies! I'm baaaaack! :wave2: The big news.... we got the MOTHER LOAD of pixie dust! pixiedust: We were given the PRESIDENTIAL SUITE!!!!!!!! OMG. I can't even begin to explain how amazing it was. Two bedrooms, three bathrooms, full living room, full dining room, kitchenette, turret sun room, three balconies. Just the living space alone was bigger then the lounge! We did not want to leave! :hyper: All in all, this trip will be hard to beat. Of course, it won't stop us from trying! :dance3:
What wonderful pixiedust: you received!!!!!! That is so cool you got the Presidential Suite. :cool1: You have a lovely family. :rainbow:

MM Welcome Home! Coming home and getting back into the swing of things can be the pits.

MAGIC Hi:wave:

Happy Monday all!

MM-Welcome home! Glad you had a wonderful vacation!

IHeart-Congrats on your suite upgrade! Your photos are fabulous, what a memorable vacation you had! Thanks for your sweet thoughts. :goodvibes

Kook-A Sea Racer split sounds like lots of fun. You guys will have a great time!:boat:

Pas-BWI CL? Great location, and a really pretty resort. Good choice! Well done on your grades, youre amazing! I hope all goes well with your dds MRI. Thinking of you all! Thanks for your kind words, so appreciated!

Wookie and Koh-Pancakes or French toast, either way your peanut butter ideas sound yummy!

Jenny-Hoping those spots are healing, and there are no new ones. Fingers crossed for ya! And thanks for your sweet words, they are appreciated!

Marie-My goodness, youve had a lot on your plate. Sending prayers and good thoughts your way. I am so glad you are planning to go on the Diva trip. Sounds like a nice fun time for you!:goodvibes

Dani-So happy your trip is coming up. Glad you are giving up DIY dental work, some things are best left to the (cute) pros. :goodvibes

Janet- Thanks for your sweet words. We had a nice relaxing weekend and that helped, too!

GG-I so agree with you about WDW boats. I love them, too! Thanks for your positive thoughts!:goodvibes

MM and Sjs314-Boy is that the truth-coming home can be the pits at first. One day you are surrounded by magic, the next you are awash in dirty laundry. :rotfl2:

Now it's time for me to get busy. My freezer is pretty empty, so I'm off to make a big pot of chili.
Spring is here for sure! The birds are chirping, and the daffodils are blooming. :flower::daisy::flower1::butterfly
 Waving hi to RCers I've missed, have a great day!!!

I've missed soooooo much! Eep. :crazy2: I'm not even sure I can attempt to catch up. :(

Happy Monday to all of you fabulous ladies. :grouphug: Missed you lot!

My parents left this morning. :faint: Glad to report that no adult-sized Time Out chairs were needed over the weekend. There were a few moments of bickering but it ended quickly. Actually, it was the birthday girl who was overly excited -- therefore in a not-so-stellar mood toward mommy and daddy. :upsidedow She made up for it yesterday though and was a total doll the entire day. If only she'd been that way for the preceding days...

The house looks like a pig sty. Where are those little cleaner-upper forest creatures when you need them? Snow White should really stop being so stingy and share with those of us in need.

Wookie - honey nut peanut butter sounds fabulous!!

Magic (and sjs) - did I miss a RC/date change somewhere? I think Magic will be at WDW same time I am (and Kook) but I didn't know sjs would too??

Miss - glad things went well this weekend and no time out chairs were needed!

DD's 2nd birthday is this Friday and she picked out Minnie for her invites, so we ordered the cake and balloons and got decorations this past weekend. So this morning she asks me if it's time for her Minnie Mouse birthday yet. :-) I think she's most excited about the Minnie balloons and cake. ;-)

Yeah, I'm just trying to figure where to place it in my schedule. I might just try to get whatever I can and work around it.

I do know that I have a couple place holders lined up if/when California Grill opens.

Any of you know whether I'd need a lunch ADR for the Grand Floridian Cafe? Or The Wave for breakfast? Was thinking about keeping it simple with ADRs this time so I don't hyperventilate and feel pressured. :rotfl: I've only got 2 ADRs at the moment...

So far I've got the following possible-plans based on all-appendages-crossed-having-APs:

  • Day 1: Head over to MK for a little bit. Artist Point at 7:45pm (our anniversary)
  • Day 2: Not sure about making any ADRs here. It'll be a Sunday and I was thinking of doing DHS or AK this day, maybe Epcot later in the evening.
  • Day 3: Epcot on a Monday during F&W? Hoping the crowds will be lighter on a Monday. Possibly head over to DHS via boat in the evening for a Star Tours marathon.
  • Day 4: Be Our Guest at 4:10pm on hubbo's birthday (which also happens to be the night of a potential MNSSHP)
  • Day 5: Cry because we're going home.

Thinking about adding lunch at GF Cafe during one of the days but wanted to keep the schedule fairly open.
