Just Keep Swimming - March 31-April 7, 2013 - Closing Thoughts (Updated 5/17)

You little sneak...putting up another one. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

The Wave is yet another restaurant on my list that I want to try for breakfast, but it is so hard giving up our favorites.

Love the Wonderland mini-golf courses. Disney doesn't skimp on themeing anywhere and it is really good there.

Haha. Just trying to keep you on your toes !!

We really liked our Wave breakfast. I highly recommend. I know what you mean about sticking with your favorites, though. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

We really loved the mini-golf. I will post some more photos of it in my next update. Prolly tomorrow. :)

We have better photos later. DD was like, they made a RESTROOM area for Tangled ?? She thought it was stupid. But after she saw it, she thought it was awesome. They really needed something in this area. It really helps the bottleneck there and lots of people were really enjoying the area to rest and use the facilities. It really is cool.

Get you one. Bamboo is easy to grow and it grows really fast. And it likes sandy soil. It works best as a screen plant. So if you have some neighbors you don't like, just plant a bamboo hedge. LOL. It can take over, though, so there could be some maintenance involved.

Sidney wants the giant bamboo and we do want to make a border with it and let it go, for a bit. not extreme, but to cover. It's so expensive though. If we could find a big batch growing wild somewhere a shoot or two would be a great start.

AKV pool was a lot of fun! Even I played in that one and I'm not a pool lover.

I was watching Lost the other day, and it was the episode when they first find Ben. Anyway, Jack and Locke are having one of their fights which forces Locke to be last second entering the numbers into the computer. He is still typing as the clock runs out to reveal a bunch of random drawings. The way the characters on this shirt are drawn remind me of Lost hieroglyphs.

Now that my random stray thought for the day is done..........
Loving the topiary pictures. I really like the arrangement of the Peter Pan characters this year! Peter on the roof...awesome!

The pink slushie sure was purdy. I might have even given up on the Grand Marnier slush for it.

I really like The Wave. I think it is a "hidden" gem. One of the better meals I've had a WDW. Contempo Cafe is another fave of ours. We have often popped over there for lunch when at the MK.

Winter Summerland looks like a cute course! We haven't been to that one yet. I really want to go do the two "new" courses at Universal. They sound like a lot of fun.

for some rest. DH took photos of all of the beautiful flowers on the way out.

So pretty. I wish I was getting ready for an Epcot day today. I was standing there just last month, but it still seems like so long ago.

DD honed her hula hoop skills.

She and Brooklynn would get along well. That girl loves to hoop it up!

We're planning on doing a round of mini-golf in June. It will be our first Disney mini-golf experience. Not sure if we'll do Winter Summerland or Fantasia, but I am thinking Winter Summerland.

Ahhhhhh, breakfast at a real restaurant with just your DH. Sounds like a good way to spend the morning!

I have never seen any pictures of Winter Summerland! Looks really neat, the theming is really interesting.
Breakfast at the Wave looks yummy! I had the Wave on my long list of ADRs this year for the first time haha. I guess we'll see if it makes it!

Yay, I love mini golfing in Disney World! That discount is awesome. Did you guys get the souvenir balls when you were done? They used to give you a free golf ball but last year when Dad and I went to Fantasia Gardens we didn't get one. :(

Sounds like everyone won that morning. Mom and Dad get a nice peaceful breakfast. Kids get to sleep in... and Mom and Dad still bring food back to the room! :thumbsup2

I've still never done either of the mini golf places at Disney World. I love the theming of them though.

I have never priced the bamboo. I wouldn't think it would be expensive. Not as expensive as the Palmetto trees anyway. All you need is a few plants spaced about 5-8 feet part and it will grow in fast. We had a client use some along their fence because they hated their neighbors ... LOL.

She loved the AKV pool !! I just sat at a table and read a book. Epic fail on the sunscreen that day though. She got pretty burned. Bad Mommy !!!

Ahhh .... Lost. I love and miss it so much. I need to rewatch it myself.

I would have never known he was there if I hadn't have seen him on someone's TR.

The pink slushie sure was purdy. I might have even given up on the Grand Marnier slush for it.

It was pretty and loverly and all of those things. I want another one ... NOW

We really enjoyed our breakfast there. We will definitely go back.

I have a ton more photos from the mini-golf. I will post them later today. Soooo cute !!!

So pretty. I wish I was getting ready for an Epcot day today. I was standing there just last month, but it still seems like so long ago.

I know what you mean. It seems like we wait and wait, do the count down and all of that. And then when we get there the time FLIES by. After a week of being back, it is like you never really left and WDW was all a big dream.

She and Brooklynn would get along well. That girl loves to hoop it up!

Yes, I have seen many photos of her hooping.

We liked both. Both of them were precious. I have lots more photos of WinterSummerland that I will post later today.

It really was. The kids were pretty close by and DS had his cell phone, so we felt OK leaving them for about an hour. They slept most of the time anyway.

I have never seen any pictures of Winter Summerland! Looks really neat, the theming is really interesting.

I wondered if we would cancel, too since we were so tired. But a girl has to eat, right ?? It was nice to have the time alone without the kids. I have tons more WinterSummerland photos.

We got one when we did Fantasia a couple of years ago, but they don't give them out anymore. DD still has hers. It has Tinkerbell on it.

Sounds like everyone won that morning. Mom and Dad get a nice peaceful breakfast. Kids get to sleep in... and Mom and Dad still bring food back to the room! :thumbsup2

Yes, it was a win-win for sure. I nice quiet morning. You can't beat it.

I've still never done either of the mini golf places at Disney World. I love the theming of them though.

It is a fun way to spend a couple of hours out of the parks. I highly recommend.

Great update! :)

Thanks !! More coming up !!!

I honestly can't even handle how much I miss the Contemporary and BLT. It's bizarre! I just love them.

Winter Summerland already looks cute and you haven't even started playing!

It really was an amazing place to stay and after seeing yours and Sarah's photos, I want a theme park view next time. We are going to try to do it next year.

I have tons of photos of WinterSummerland. Gah - that course was soooo cute !! We had so much fun that day.

I have heard some awful reviews of the Wave but your breakfast looks really good!!!

Oooooh can’t wait to hear about mini golf! We have never done mini golf at Disney and I would like to try it out sometime, even though I’m horrendous at it.

We really enjoyed our breakfast. Everything was fresh and delicious.

I am horrendous at it too. But it was still fun.

That looks like such a great course! My DH & DS went to one of them while I shopped at DTD but I'd like to see this one in person!

They have two courses here. We played the Summer side. I would love to go back and play the Winter to see all of the cute stuff.
