Just Keep Swimming - March 31-April 7, 2013 - Closing Thoughts (Updated 5/17)

Day 3 Part Six

After exploring the WS, we headed out of the park back to BLT for some rest. DH took photos of all of the beautiful flowers on the way out.

DH took DD down to the pool while I iced my ankle which was pretty achy and DS went over to get refills on soda for everyone.

After some rest, we headed over to Magic Kingdom for dinner. We walked. Well, I scootered & they walked. It was so awesome to be so close.

It was crazy crowded. So we made our way over to our dinner location which was ........

I prefer lunch here, but the kids like it, so I made a dinner ADR.

Here are a couple of photos from dinner

For a full dining review go HERE.

After dinner, we checked out the new Tangled area

This will give you an idea of how crowded it was &.

The wait for everything was crazy and all of the fast passes were gone. So we went in to see Philharmagic and got the heck out of there before we stuck by the parade and headed back to BLT and to bed. But not before we watched the Electric Water Parade.

Another great Disney day !!

I would really love to be within walking distance of MK sometime. Definitely a huge bonus of staying at BLT. :thumbsup2

I absolutely love Liberty Tree. I actually prefer the dinner over lunch, just because I like the family style meals at Disney World.

More great pictures from the F&GF! That first one is why I love going during the spring. It is so pretty at Epcot. :goodvibes

Gotta love being able to walk to the Magic Kingdom from BLT!

It does look crowded! I made a comment on my update about how I thought it seemed more crowded this year than it has on other spring break trips.

Those Epcot pictures are just gorgeous. I want to be there right now!
Dinner looks yummy! How wonderful to be so close to mk!
I've never seen that Tangled area before! So pretty with all the lanterns!

MK was really crowded. Don't know if I could have handled that. My DH loves LTT for dinner. It's OK but not on my list this year. I want to venture out to some new things next trip.

It was really nice to be able to just scoot over there and get some dinner and do a couple of things and then come back without all of the transportation hassle.

My DH likes the family style stuff, too. Sometimes, I think he just likes not having to make a decision. With the family style meals, they just bring it out and you don't have to think about what to order.

It was so pretty there this year. We took lots of photos !!

Gotta love being able to walk to the Magic Kingdom from BLT!

I loved being so close to MK and the resorts. It really was convenient !!

It does look crowded! I made a comment on my update about how I thought it seemed more crowded this year than it has on other spring break trips.

It was crowded early in the week. But later on the week, it didn't seem so bad. We made sure to hit rope drop though and get stuff done early.

Those Epcot pictures are just gorgeous. I want to be there right now!

Don't we all, girl. Don't we all. Sigh.

Dinner looks yummy! How wonderful to be so close to mk!
I've never seen that Tangled area before! So pretty with all the lanterns!

We got some better photos later on in the week during the daytime. Stay tuned.

Wonderful EPCOT pics. :)

Thanks !! It was such a beautiful day that day !! The weather was perfect !!

It was crazy crowded that night. We were fighting to get out of there before the parade started and we got stuck. I was relieved to get back to BLT. We were pretty tired and I am sure there would have been a meltdown if we had gotten stuck in that crowd. I like to try new things, too. But the kids are so picky, that I wonder if it will be a waste. They are broadening their horizons, though. So there is hope for the future.

Even though I had that “incident” with Duffy back in August, he is still so cute and I LOVE HIM IN THAT FARMER’S OUTFIT.

You are killin’ me here with these topiary pictures. It’s ok though :-)

We are going to Liberty Tree in August for lunch. Everyone seems to like lunch better and I know why. I mean, THE OOEY GOOEY TOFFEE CAKE. You don’t know how excited I am to try it.

THE TANGLED TOILETSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Up until this post everything looked like normal crowds even thought it was spring break. These pics are a little scary with all those heads in them. :scared:

The pool didn't look too busy though. The key access helps cut down on the crowds I'm sure.

I want a bamboo circle (or four) so bad!

Yeah, I have seen you spewing some Duffy hate on your TR. What is up with that ??

We have more. Wait until you see the Beauty and Beast ones we took a few days later. SUPER cute !!!

I would be excited, too. Because that cake is ..... awesomesauce. Soooo yummy !!!

THE TANGLED TOILETSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have better photos later. DD was like, they made a RESTROOM area for Tangled ?? She thought it was stupid. But after she saw it, she thought it was awesome. They really needed something in this area. It really helps the bottleneck there and lots of people were really enjoying the area to rest and use the facilities. It really is cool.

We avoided the crowds for the most part because we did our best to hit rope drop and go to EMH in the mornings. Late in the afternoon and at night, it seemed really crazy crowded.

The pool didn't look too busy though. The key access helps cut down on the crowds I'm sure.

The pool never felt crowded to me. We enjoyed the pool. DD also really loved the pool at AKL at Jambo later on in the trip.

I want a bamboo circle (or four) so bad!

Get you one. Bamboo is easy to grow and it grows really fast. And it likes sandy soil. It works best as a screen plant. So if you have some neighbors you don't like, just plant a bamboo hedge. LOL. It can take over, though, so there could be some maintenance involved.

The topiaries are so cool!!! Single digits for us!!!

They really are. YAY for single digits !! I know you are excited !!

Just read this: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=46748136&postcount=313.

OK. That explains things. I think I have read that before, I remember seeing that post. But now I have to go back and find what you did to that kid you knocked over. LOL

And tonight I went to my weekly cupcake class and a girl in it was wearing a Nyan Cat shirt and I was like "where have I seen that before...?" I knew it looked familiar (;

Have you went on Youtube and looked at the Nyan Cat ?? So annoying !!!

I'm all caught up...again. You go way too fast for me.

We totally skipped the Oz thing when we were there so it was nice to see the pictures.

I wondered where Peter Pan was...I see you found him. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

You got some great pictures.

I will admit that even though I much prefer the Grand Mariner Slush, your pink grey goose one looks wonderful.

That was some crowd at the MK!

Hey Kathy !! Yes. I like to try and get a post up every day.

We totally skipped the Oz thing when we were there so it was nice to see the pictures.

We really thought it was cool. I work for a landscape architect and we just got the job to design and children's garden for our local zoo, so I need to show these to my boss.

I wondered where Peter Pan was...I see you found him. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Yep, he was hiding up there. I may have had some help from the DIS to find him.

You got some great pictures.

Thanks !! DH takes about 60-70% of the photos. He is much better at it than me.

I will admit that even though I much prefer the Grand Mariner Slush, your pink grey goose one looks wonderful.

It really was. The fact that it was pink made me so happy.

That was some crowd at the MK!

Yes, that crowd was insane. We didn't get much done that night besides have dinner and see Philharmagic. But we still had a good time.

Day 4 – Part One.

This day was supposed to be our rest day, so we slept in pretty late. We had an ADR for breakfast at the Wave at 10:30 AM and we still set an alarm. And maybe pushed snooze a couple of times. We were pretty tired and needed the rest.

We got up to get ready for breakfast and the kids didn’t want to go. And let me tell you ….. no one was mad about that. They slept while DH and I went and had a nice quiet breakfast without them.

We chose the buffet and we really enjoyed it. Here are a few photos.

For a full review of this meal, go HERE.

DH took some lobby photos while I took a bio break.

We loved the Mary Blair tiles

We called the kids to see how they were doing. DD was awake, but DS was still snoozing. She said to bring them back something to eat, so we stopped at the Contempo Café to get them something.

For a full review of this meal, go HERE.

We hung out in the room for a while. I tidied up and did a load of laundry.
After a while, we decided to go over the play some mini-golf. We did the Fantasia course a few years ago, so I wanted to try the WinterSummerLand course. So we headed over there.

We went to the desk and checked in and paid. You get 50% off if you have an annual pass, so that was good. I think it was maybe $24 for all four of us. They have two courses here. A winter themed one and a summer themed one. We chose the summer one because it had the shortest wait.

We grabbed a bench and sat down and waited. And took some photos to pass the time.

I just loved the themeing here. All of the décor was just so cute.

DD honed her hula hoop skills.

Then our name was called and we grabbed some balls and some clubs and headed over to hole #1.

I LOVED the entrance to Wave, wow! I'm off to read your food reviews next. Thanks for all the wonderful details!!!

It was really nice to be so close to everything. We walked (well I scootered to the parks, but tried to walk everywhere else) most everywhere. The Wave was right across the skyway and then down the escalator. I hope my TR is helping you plan your trip !! I know you are excited !! BLT is the best !!!!
