Hi everyone!! This will be a pretty long update....picture heavy.
I've caught up, mostly, on everyone's PJs. Sorry it's been so long since I've updated, there really wasn't much to say until about 2 weeks ago. Then everything got a little busy. Keeping up with my accounting class isn't too difficult.....so far. LOL Work is starting to get busy again. We've been trying to get all the save the dates out, which has been a little crazy because some of the addresses we had were incorrect. It's ok though, we got them all straightened out and sent off!!
I mentioned in a post on someone else's thread that we've lost our flower girl. It's a little upsetting, but I understand. Hopefully, this is easy to follow. DF's sister told him that her husband isn't able to get off work for the wedding. The way it was explained to me was that, he has the least seniority at his job, and when the vacation request sheet came around to him, the dates were already taken and he will have to be on-call. Which means he may not even work. SO, DF's sister said that she doesn't want to take a family vacation without him. Since her daughter was supposed to be our flower girl, well, that means I'm left without one. I thought about asking another family member, we have a few other little girls, but since I'm not sure who is actually coming yet, I will just say we aren't having one.
DF's sister will still be at the wedding, but she will not be bringing her husband or kids and she will be staying with their parents. Which means (as I said in the other thread) we are losing at least 3 room nights. This frustrates me because I'm getting really nervous about being able to fulfill the room night obligation. I will have to play Scarlett with this one though and think about it another day.
On to the fun stuff!! We completed as much as we could of the planning kit and sent it back. I have done everything but order the invitations. We have a friend who has offered to pay for them as a gift and so I'm just waiting for her to give me payment information so I can send back my "homework" for them. I'm super excited as they are exactly what I wanted and came out even better than I could have imagined. Here is a picture of the invitation we will be using, if you "Like" Impressions' Facebook page, you may have seen them already. I love Shelley's work! She and Amanda have been amazing to work with. This is the picture she sent me so I could see it for the first time!!
It's really hard to see, but the pixie dust is multi-colored! I really couldn't be happier with them.
Next I have a few random items that we picked up from Hobby Lobby on sale.
Our card box. Yes, I probably could have made one, and I'm sure this same one is being used at 4654646584768768476 other weddings this year, but I'm just really nervous about making stuff like this because I never get the result I want. AND I couldn't beat 50% off.
Our cake knife and server....again, 50% off...
I mentioned in my last post that I was making my own necklace so here is a picture of the guitar I want to attach, ideally it would hang down my back, but I must have been thinking of a different necklace (I have two, but don't want to take the piece from the other necklace), so in addition, there is a picture of the word "Lucky" which would be super easy to attach since it has a clasp to do that....I'll decide later what exactly I want to do.
Here is (sort of) what the necklace will look like when I'm done...though this picture just shows all the chains layered.
Here is what I have so far....let's just say I have a lot of work to do.
I ordered a bracelet for myself from a store on Etsy (I'll have to get the link later). The girl was super fast, my only issue is that the ribbon I ordered was darker than I wanted, so I had to change it. I don't have a picture of the original ribbon, but it was more maroon than the pink I thought I was getting. Here it is after I switched out the ribbon:
And now, here are the MsOH gifts! I'm really excited to show everyone and can't wait to give these to the girls. First are the hangers I had made. Again, I bought these from Etsy, WhiteDiamondAffairs. They were super fast and got the hangers to me well before I said I needed them! She even customized them with a color that wasn't listed on the site. The color of ribbon on the top of the hanger is the color each girl picked for their sash and the color of the bow on Minnie is the color of the dresses.

And finally! My favorite piece so far.....the hoodies I custom designed and had made for us. They were made by Lisa on Etsy, I have posted a link before, but here it is again.
http://www.etsy.com/shop/Lisascrysta...ef=seller_info#sthash.8Kph3gjc.dpuf She is fantastic to work with and I really can't say enough about her work. The front is the same concept as the bows on the top of the hanger, it indicates the color each girl's sash will be on their dress. The back I wanted to put something they would wear again that didn't scream "I was in a wedding!". Also, none of us are overly girly, so this works perfectly while still incorporating the multi-color theme. They're taken at different angles, but you get the idea.

Alright, I think that's about it! Let me know what you think about everything! TTFN!!
