Why not just say, "thanks for your concern. Everything is fine."?
You can't break down like that in front of your kids, especially over something that is insignificant in the grand scheme of things (no one was hurt, no one got in trouble, no lasting repercussions five minutes later.) You have to set a good example for your children.
