I think you all have seriously invaded my brain. While drinking coffee this morning, I got extremely excited when Captain Hook mentioned "Sunken Treasure"
92 days until we are experiencing BC for the first time!

Thanks SueM! After doing some homework on what our budget was former years and with the 30% discount vs. what it would cost us staying at our typical Poly Garden View (now standard) we decided to spend the extra money and upgrade to the Lagoon/Pool View. I just don't want to be looking directly into a tree at all times. We also noted in our reservation that we would like to stay close to the lobby and have a full balcony. Here is hoping for some pixie dust for a good view! I am an early riser and would like to enjoy a balcony this year! :wizard:

pixiedust:pixiedust:

Dee - get the eraser out!!!

DH said that since we are flying this year instead of driving he didn't want the hassle of a split stay. So now we are staying BC June 29-July 15!

I couldn't get a low fare for the flight home with Frontier so now we are flying down on Frontier and home on Jet Blue! This trip gets crazier and crazier!

Great news!

Well, back home. 2nd day of work  but my doggie and cats were glad to see us! Lol. Maybe the hubs too!
Now on to planning our Aug YC stay at the dark side :goodvibes. So far planning a Boardwalk restaurant crawl. Haven't ate there since Spoodles.

Awesome, it's a shame u didn't know earlier!

We changed our schedule just a little we will be arriving on August 23-August 30. The flights were just a little cheaper if we flew out on a Friday.

With the flights booked its a official start to a count down! All of the pictures everyone is posting lately is making me want to start packing now! I am over the moon excited because my sister and her kids are going the same week we are with the same deal. It's their first disney trip.

I am dreaming of me, my mom, & my sister sipping sunken treasure relaxing at the SAB is getting me threw looking out my window to SNOW!

200 days out! ADR's here we come

Thanks ninja mom, I love it!!!!! Two more weeks and we'll get to try the resort for the first time. One more quick question, how much is a half gallon of milk in the marketplace? Just trying to decide if I should have some groceries delivered.

There was a time when you could book 5 people in a YC CL LV but no more. I know I did it in 2003 & 2005. It changed several years ago. I believe those rooms are slightly smaller and that's why they changed the occupancy rate.

Just for an FYI, room 5163 is a LV CL room but has no balcony. It has to do with the architecture of the building. It is rare at YC to not have a balcony or patio but it is possible. The view is great but if a balcony is important (it is to me) then don't let them put you in 5163.

Too funny! I was going through all of my stuff this morning, purging my handwritten "Be Our Guest" list notes, and I came across the notation about that room.

What is the view from that room? Is it the wedding gazebo?

Price Check on Aisle 4!

Pixarmom and MickeyT have both undertaken missions where they have checked on the prices of items in the BC Marketplace, and we have added it to the BC Marketplace thread.

However, I don't think we have had the prices updated since December 2011, and the price of a HALF-GALLON of MILK was $3.15.

BTW, not sure if a gallon jug will fit in the mini fridges, but I think you can get in at least 2 half-gallons.

Here is a price list of popular grocery items as of December 2011 (thanks, MickeyT!):

1/2 gallon of milk $3.15
1/2 gallon of juice - none in stock
Small orange juice container $2.39
Dozen eggs $1.95
Assorted Fruit $1.38
Loaf of Bread $4.59 $4.29?
Half and Half creamer, $2.19

Peanut Butter $3.95 $3.45
Jelly $3.45
Lunch Meat $3 .45 - $4.95
Large Lays Chips $4.25
Ketchup $2.45
Mustard $2.49
Mayo $3.95
Spagettios $1.45
Ravioli $3.45
Campbells Soup $2.95
Tuna $2.95
Pop Tarts (8) $3.95
Full box cereal $4.95
10pk cereal $7.95

I hope you get to make your first visit to BC in Aug. We have been there twice and it is our favorite so far! :cool1:

Thanks! We have never stayed at any Epcot resorts but we are excited. We love the Poly and stayed there the last few trips but my dd loves to swim so she will love sab and we find ourselves going into epcot the most for restaurants and such so it seemed like a good fit.Didn't hurt that magical vacations had that great deal either:)

Wow! That's interesting. I assumed all YC rooms have balconies, I think we'd prefer a rooftop view with a balcony than a LV room without lol. We will be ok with our SV I was just genuinely curious as to why that was the only bookable category in CL for 5.

It's also possible that it was the only category in CL for 5 that had available rooms at the time you were looking. :confused3

I lasted as far as Alicia Keyes singing then I was snoring:rotfl2: The children from Sandy Hook sang beautifully :)
Love that you use it as an excuse to surf the disboards:thumbsup2

I saw nothing of the game, I had to work and had a bad night on our floor. I so wanted to see the children from Sandy Hook sing. I'm sure it was very touching...I'm a big lurker on the disboards, it's my way to get my disney fix!!My hubby teases me big.... about it. Saying I'm a huge lurker!!!!:rotfl2:

Unfortunately, there is only one set of elevators at the YC, and they are located right by the Concierge desks and the lounge. We've always requested a room away from the lounge and have been lucky enough to get it each time. Unless you are at the very end of a hall, you will hear people in the hall, and even at the end of the hall there's no guarantee that you won't have hallway noise.

Oh boy we requested a room close to the lobby. Staying YC/CL question did you feel that the noise was really loud near the lounge and concierge desk? My concern is if we request a room away from the lobby it would be a far walk from the elevators.

Looks like we'll be there around the same time! When are you going? Are you running the Princess Half Marathon? Staying CL?
