Those are the two that I would lean toward also, my parents are going and so we'll have to see what works out best for the both of us.

We are currently at the Wl - poolside matter of fact. We typically stay at the Boardwalk but WOW this is gorgeous. We're rebooking and will probably stay here again!

We got hooked many years ago and keep returning to that wonderful lodge.... Listening to that music around the pool, drink in hand... Nothing could be better.... Enjoy yourself and save some for us !

A drink in each hand might be better;). When is your next trip back?

Kicking around this spring but for sure Sept/Oct... The more we use our AP's the happier I am .....I totally enjoy the pool at WL, always there at the pool, beverage container leaking water, only use the room for sleeping... We enjoy the marshmallow roast, nightly movie and Water Parade.... Night time dips with some wine and cheese... Perfect nightcap!

I can't decide between AKV and WLV for a Dec. 2013 trip! They both have their pros and cons. Any advice?

We go with what we want to be closest to... We will make more trips to MK than any other parks ( we're in our 60's ) but love this park more so it's a no brainier, WL... Boat ride away and as for EPCOT, we boat to CR and monorail to TTC and board the EPCOT monorail...

We hardly ever visit AK, just not my liked park, and we enjoy the other 3 than waste a day there.. Stayed at AKL once, didn't care for the whole African animal vibe and restaurants... Isolation too much!

VWL is the older design villa. AKV has two different locations - Jambo House (fifth floor) and renovated hotel rooms or Kidani Village which is a newer design.

We own at VWL and are there right now. We haven't stayed at KV yet, but visited it the other day and think it looks better than it did when it first opened.

I just booked WL CL yesterday for my sisters 29th birthday as a surprise. This is her dream resort, ever since we ate at Artist Point in 2010, she has wanted to stay here. She will be so excited. ;)

I love WL.. It's my favorite resort. But I can't say enough for how amazing the entrance into Epcot is from the BC resort. We stayed there after my aunt had gotten massive surgery.. I was there to help her with her little ones. The ease of having a park right there didn't go unnoticed!

Just had to pop in and give a quick review. Stayed at VWL in a studio from Dec 20-27. The resort was perfect for Christmas! The CM's were oustanding....even better than when I stayed Poly CL. Every single person greeted us each and every day. We are DVC members and this is def my favorite DVC resort. We have now booked to return in July! Cannot wait!

If you are wondering...do not hesitate to book the lodge. Absolubely beautiful and so relaxing. We did take a trip over to Animal Kingdom Lodge and have stayed there before... just not the same and a little too far out of the way for me!

Kook...help!!!
I am trying to get some info about the deluxe rooms that sleep six on CL. On the phone the CM can see the room, but it still is only offering us 2 standard rooms. Any ideas?? Do these rooms typically go fast?

Hmmm... It's still here on the Disney booking site:

Deluxe Room - Club Level

Views of Bay Lake, Woodlands or Interior Courtyard
2 Queen Beds and 1 Queen-Size Sleeper Sofa
Sleeps up to 6

There are 24 of them so they don't go fast. Maybe one day of your trip they're all booked? Or they're already booked with the rate code you're using? I know they're never included with the military discount.

I was trying to change a reservation when I saw your post and then I gave up after 45 minutes on hold:sad2:. What has happened to the WDTC?

Yeah, I called back again, and now the CM said they are not excluded but none are available. Bummer. :(

It's probably the rate code...I once was offered it with 5% off..which is something

Changing a reservation, eh :rotfl:

I booked one in September for this coming June...and the CM told me I had snagged the last room for that time period. I think people have discovered them, and they do go fast!

As that amazing RC queen would say, "It's all good." I'm just stepping off the BW and heading back to the MK. I strayed for two days too long, I'm hopeless.

That's interesting. I wouldn't have thought that with their premium price and with there being 24 of them, they would go that quickly, but they must be coveted since they hold up to 5.

Can someone tell me how the boats run? Does the boat to MK get shared with Fort Wilderness? Does the boat to CR share with FW? Is there a boat from the CR to MK?

Thanks in advance. :)
