Thanks for asking. Yes we are fine where we are but we do desperately need rain.

School starts back tomorrow for my kiddos.... I am excited to get back to a normal schedule and get my work done.... Finally does anyone still have their Christmas trees up??!

Yes... (Hangs my head in shame...) but it's I decorated, both of them if that counts for something

We took ours down yesterday. We always try and leave everything up for January 6th. Not sure how much we will decorate next year as we will be gone from Thanksgiving until the 15th..not sure how much energy I will have.

What's significant about January 6th if I can ask?

We always use lanyards on the ship - I prefer them to wristbands. We have done shirts but that only works on the embarkation day (or the day we choose to wear them) where a lanyard works all cruise in identifying people. Just my thoughts.

We only wore our cruise shirts on the first day but our lanyards every day because of our room key thing and I had my camera attached so it was always with me.

For us it really doesn't matter. Tee shirts are good, but would probably only wear it on the first day and neither of us use the lanyards. We just threw out a bunch from previous cruises before we moved.

So we will bow out of the voting and go along with what ever the group decides.

What's significant about January 6th if I can ask?

January 6 is Epiphany, or 12th Night, the 12th Day of Christmas. It is the day that the Wise Men are said to have arrived at Bethlehem. In Italy, that's when La Bafana travels looking for the babe, and leaves small gifts for all the children because she can't find the babe.
We sometimes leave it up, but Sulley has limited patience with having all the stuff around!

No I didnt put mine up this year...I did put all the other decorations up, but since it was going to be quiet and small, we decieded not to put it up. But I still have a few decorations left here and there that Wally insisted I leave up for our grandaughter......at this point she has not even noticed

How were the fishies yesterday?

Fishes were good...had a great time, I have not been to the Shedd in years...we saw the Baluga whales and dolphin show, they had a Dora & Diego 4D show, which was cute, we had lunch there...it was not crowded but we did enjoy seeing all the fish. Their tanks are really awesome, had a shark tank...very interesting.

We got good news today. We have passed all the hurdles with the house and we are a go. We close on Jan 29th.

We will be Floridians very soon.

Very cool, my son would love to go here... He is all about the sharks and fish. I can take him to Walmart to look at their fish and you would think he was at sea world.
