From France: "Coq au Vin sur gratin de macaroni" (Red Wine braised Chicken, Mushrooms, Pearl Onions and Macaroni Gratin)


Couchy said, "This was a 7/10, good but kinda bland."

Couchy said, "We gave this an 8/10. I liked the flavor and thought it was good. Nice and light."

Couchy said, "DH loved it and gave it a 9/10, me not so much. Lots of either goat or sheep's milk and I only like cow cheese, so DH ate it all."

Good morning everyone!

We have not yet received any updates today from our reporters, so I thought I would use this lull in the action to do some more reporter recruitment. In looking at the schedule for this month, we could still use a couple more reporters beginning Nov. 13 through Nov. 30. So if you have a trip planned for the latter part of this month and would like to get it on the November Scavenger Hunt fun, please let me know. In looking ahead to December, we need one or two more reporters for the first week (Dec. 1 - 9) and then from Dec. 21 - 31. Oh, and I'll try to come up with something equally fun (similar to the Scavenger Hunt) for our December team of reporters. I'd also like to now begin recruiting for the month of January. At this time we have only 3 people lined up to do live updates, so the entire month is wide open.

barb! we are headed down for a very quick trip to disney for the AP fantasyland preview on 11/17! please add me to the list. i just completed my PTR for both my november trips.

and i think i'm headed down to disney january 12-13, 2013 as my good friends from montreal will be visiting! emme & i may make it down for the weekend to see our friends. we are cruising on the fantasy so i can update from there as i will have 100 free wifi minutes on board the ship.

Couchy said, "DH had the burger. He thought it was overcooked and very greasy but it filled a void, gave it 6.5/10. I had the turkey club, which was good and very big. I wished for more crisp lettuce though. Gave it 7.5/10."

Couchy said, "Sangria for me was a 9/10. I can't get enough of the stuff. DH had the La Rossa beer. He loves it and gave it an 8.5/10. The calamari we usually love but today it was only a 7/10. It was a bit greasy and chewy, but still good."

That would be great Li Li! We can definitely use you in January! And don't worry about being a DIS newbie. I think this will be the perfect way to "get your feet wet" (so to speak) and see how you like reporting on your Disney Dining experiences.

So I will add you to the January trip list in Post #2. I'll plan to contact all the January reporters sometime next month and will give you all my info then. Thanks!

Hi Linda and welcome back! You really did a fantastic job with covering the Disneyland food. I haven't been there since 2002 and now you have me thinking about it again. I most definitely want to visit that Tiki Bar!

And if you fly all the way from London for a DIS meet then the least we can do is make sure that there is a margarita or two waiting for you when you get there. How about if you get the ball rolling with presenting us with a list of general dates (months) in 2013-14 when you might be able to make it back to the States? Are you still thinking about a trip in Nov. 2013?

I have a funny story to share with you regarding our first update of the day. I had previously said that our live reporters could consider me on "text" anytime after 6:30 a.m. (Central) or 7:30 a.m. (Disney time) everyday. Well, this morning just seconds after my alarm went off at 6:30, my phone went off indicating that I'd received a text. I immediately wondered which one of our 3 or 4 (if LOVEMY3KIDDOS made it there last night) current live (text) reporters was chomping at the bit to get started with their updates today. After looking at my phone for a few seconds (it took me a bit since I was still half asleep ) I realized that the picture text was not from anyone who is currently at Disney World. It was actually from Chris (dvc4life), who returned home on Sunday and sent her last update on Monday with many pictures from their last dinner at Raglan Road. Now the picture did not have a tagline of "Oops, I forgot one" or anything other than the normal description. So I'm thinking that this picture has been lost in cellular airspace/cyberspace for the last three days. Regardless, it was a fun wake-up "text" for me this morning. And so without further ado...

Also, we will be going back to WDW in January! Woo Hoo. We are going to be kinda all over the place. Right now we get there January 17 and leave the 21st. Plans are right now to be staying our first night at Carribean Beach, subject to change to Shades of Green, then going up to check out The Villages, then over to Clearwater for a night. We will be ending up at the Boardwalk on Saturday for the rest of our trip.

So, I would be happy to report again if you would like. We will definitely be eating at different places than we did on our last trip. As this will just be me and DH!
