I did have your trip on the November list but had it starting on Nov. 22, so I'll add the extra day. And I didn't know that you had gotten your cast off early. That's great news, Susan! :thumbsup2

You can do and send live updates a couple of different ways. You can take pics with your phone and text them to me along with a short description and maybe a comment about how well you liked it. You can also email the pics to me from your phone. Another option is to take pictures with your regular camera and then email them to me later when you have some downtime back at your resort. Any of these methods are fine with me. :thumbsup2 Oh, and I leave the content and frequency of the updates entirely up to the reporters. Although this month with the Scavenger Hunt going on, if you want to participate and earn points then you should keep an eye on the list (link in my signature), which I will update daily. I also plan to add some more potential points once the F & W Festival is over. So what do you think...are you interested? :)

Hi, my daughter, her BF, and I are going to be at WDW Jan 2-9 and I'd like to try doing live updates---even if I am a newbie poster. I'd love to tell you where our ADRs are, but I keep changing them!

If I can help, let me know!

Hi! I would love to be a live reporter for November! Do you still need another one? DH and I will be at WDW from November 15th to November 23rd, staying at the Wilderness Lodge. DH and I will have the Deluxe Dining Plan, so we will be eating plenty! Halfway through our trip, his family will be meeting us there. We also have Be Our Guest reservations for 10 people on November 20th.

I am going to PM you, in case that would be better! :flower3:

I am soooooo happy to have my cast off. My comfort level is 110% better !! I still can't walk much, but I will be working hard in physical therapy to get as close to normal as I can by Christmas. I will be renting a scooter for the Thanksgiving trip.

OK. I can do the live updates. I can take a picture on my phone and text it to you. Just PM me your number. It will be fun !! And when I get home, I can do a more in depth DR.

Got your PM and replied with my info. Thanks Nanabug! :thumbsup2

Thanks Susan! I'll send you a PM with my info. Glad to hear you're feeling better! :goodvibes

So with the addition of Nanabug02 and jecskc to our November Team of Live Reporters and a few others to our December team, we are now covered through December 19th. We could still use a few more reporters for the rest of that month though, plus the month of January is still wide open. :thumbsup2

I think I can provide updates for my 12/13-12/21 trip. It is a family trip and my parents first time-- so will probably take pix of my food only(they will never understand) if you still need reporters. Everyone else has been so terrific with their reports, I thought I lend a hand.

Good Monday Morning! (that's a bit of an oxymoron, isn't it? ;) )

I don't yet have any updates today from our reporters, but I do have one from last night sent to us by Ellen (podsnel).

She was at the Animal Kingdom Lodge's...

    Victoria Falls Lounge

Scottish Raspberry Lemon Drop - Hendrick's Gin, Muddles Raspberries, Fresh Lemon Juice, Agave Nectar topped with Wildberry Foam

Ellen said, "This is both tart and sweet, but not too. I like it! :thumbsup2

Note from jabead: While this cocktail does look delicious, it unfortunately does not qualify for a Scavenger Hunt point because it is one we have seen here before. In case you don't recall, this was one of the several different cocktails that Alice BlueBonnet tried at the Victoria Falls Lounge. ;)

    Here is Alice's pic...

Our first update of the day was from Ellen (podsnel), who was at the Polynesian Resort this morning and had breakfast at...

    KONA CAFE

Ellen said, "We were handed this with our menus, and I thought..ooooh Nicki (aka MickeyNicki) is gonna be soooo jelly!" :lmao:

    And here they are...

Pumpkin Pancakes served with pecan maple butter and sausage

Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes with macadamia nut butter, pineapple sauce and fruit (on the side) subbed for the breakfast meat

Ellen said, "Pods (her DH) and I split the pumpkin and macnut pancakes...both so good! :thumbsup2 But aren't the pancakes lookin a little smaller here? I didn't mind the smaller portion though, it was the right size. I don't feel like exploding as I'm walking out of here and that's a good thing!" ;)

    Steven (DH's brother) had this...

The Samoan - poached eggs with Hollandaise served over smoked pulled pork hash

Sean (Ellen's oldest son) had this...

    French Toast with bacon

Ellen said, "There was another slice but he grabbed it as soon as it was put down." ;)

Tyler (Son #2) had the famous Kona...

Tonga Toast - banana stuffed sourdough bread, rolled in cinnamon sugar and served with bacon

    And the usual accompaniments...

Strawberry Compote, Maple Syrup, Butter, and Ketchup??? :confused3

    Complimentary Birthday Cupcake

Ellen said, "I think they are going to sing to me now."

    :bday: Happy Birthday Ellen!!! :bday:

Ellen's last comments regarding their meal, "Breakfast was delicious as ever! Pod's subbed fruit was all melon though. Other than that, this is my fave brekkie at WDW!"

Note from jabead: Here is great picture I found here on the DIS which shows Ellen and most of her family (except for oldest son, Sean)

Tim (youngest son), Pods, Ellen, & Tyler (son #2)

Pictured borrowed from Ellen's TR from their recent trip to Kauai & Aulani

So this update received one point for the pumpkin pancakes, one for the Samoan/French Toast entrees, and one for the "First Update of the Day"

I received a couple of updates from Candice (Candycane83) today.

Yesterday she and her DH were at Universal's Island of Adventure and had lunch at...

    Mythos

Risotto of the Day - Beef Medallion & Spinach

Candice said, "Eric had this. He thought it was ok but a little salty."

    Mythos Bistro Filet Sandwich

Candice said, "I liked it and thought it was worth the cost. I loved the onion rings as it added a little kick to it."

Then Candice's second update was from today.

She said, "We just got to Disney's Boardwalk Inn this morning and headed straight to Epcot after we checked in.
We had a few dishes at F&W Festival for lunch."

From Hawaii: Kalua Pork Slider with Sweet and Sour Dole Pineapple Chutney and Spicy Mayonnaise

Candice said, "Very tasty! Hard to eat though."

From Hawaii: Tuna Poke with Seaweed Salad and Lotus Root Chips

Candice said, "Absolutely loved this and would go back again for this."

From Caribbean: Ropa Vieja (braised beef) with Cilantro Rice

Candice said, "Eric liked this but said the rice was a little hard. He loved the berry colada on the side in the picture."

From Mexico: Crispy Shrimp Taco with Chipotle Lime Mayo and Cabbage served on a Flour Tortilla

Candice said, "Tasty and fresh, didn't taste so much of the shrimp though."

From South Korea: Lettuce Wrap with Roast Pork and Kimchi Slaw

Candice said, "Liked this one as well."

    From China: Pork Potstickers

Candice said, "This was just ok, nothing special for us."

I just heard from Couchy and she is back home now.

    So it's time to say...

Thanks Couchy for a job well done! :thanks:

And Couchy accumulated 20 Scavenger Hunt points during her trip, which puts her in first place! :woohoo:
