I guess that Heavenly Ham had a mind of its own! :lmao: I'm glad it happened though because it gave me the idea of adding the "First Update of the Day" to the Scavenger Hunt List. ;)

I would be very happy to have you again, Chris! :thumbsup2 I'll get you added to the January list.

Sounds great, thanks disneydivamama! I'll get you added to the November list and send you a PM with my info. I have one more update to post first. :thumbsup2

Tonight Couchy and her DH were at the Contemporary Resort to have dinner at...

    California Grill

    First some menu pics...

Heirloom Apple Salad with Pistachio Vinaigrette, Local Greens, Rogue River Blue Cheese

Couchy said, "The apple salad was 10/10 wonderful and full of flavor. It came with a hunk of blue cheese that complimented the salad and apple perfectly. DH had the tuna three ways and it was excellent, a 9/10. All the tuna had unique flavors. Good variety of flavors. Wished it came with soy sauce though."

Yoshie's Deluxe Sushi Platter with Maki and Nigiri

Couchy said, "I had the deluxe sushi for my entree and it was a 9.5/10. This was fantastic and so fresh. My only complaint is that there was wasabi in the rice."

Oak-fired Filet of Beef with Cheesy Potatoes, Brussel Sprouts, Bacon, and Teriyaki Barbecue Sauce

Couchy said, "A 9.5/10 for DH's filet. It was perfectly cooked. Fantastic flavors. Overall it was excellent!"

And then we have a pic of the dessert menu...

And here is what they chose for their shared dessert...

Valrhona Chocolate Cake with Molten Center, Gianduja Ice Cream and Frangelico Chocolate Sauce

Couchy said, "This was a 10/10...OMG is all we can say! :cloud9:

And one more update from Ellen tonight.

She said, "On the way out of Downtown Disney, I saw this food truck outside of Pleasure Island."

    And here is the menu...

Even though a menu pic would not normally be awarded a Scavenger Hunt point unless it were also accompanied by a pic of at least one food item, I am going to give this a point due to the "interesting" factor of this update. I didn't know that there were food trucks at Downtown Disney. :confused3

As usual, there's a ton of great-looking food in this thread. The creole burger at POFQ sounds really good, as does the Connecticut lobster roll at the food truck. :thumbsup2

On CG's menu, I'd love to try the salmon or lamb flatbread, and then the caramel corn crème brûlée for dessert. Ugh, this thread is making me so hungry.

Thank you to the people who volunteered to be reporters today! :goodvibes I will be sending a PM tomorrow with my info to those of you who are leaving for WDW in November. We now could use one or two more reporters for these dates: Nov. 13 - 26 and Dec. 18 - 26.
Also from Dec. 27 on and throughout the month of January we need several more volunteers.

    Good night everyone! :wave2:

Just got back from a wonderful week at WDW - thanks for posting our photos. Unfortunately most of the photos don't seem to have made it - not sure if it was our phone or the wifi at BC. Anyway if you don't mind I will email them to you again (jetlag permitting) :)

Ellen sent some more pics from their lunch at 50's Prime Time, which I've added to her update (see above post).

She also sent us a snack pic from...

    Chocolate-Peanut Butter Cupcake

Ellen said, "My favorite cupcake in the World!" :thumbsup2

Note from jabead: Though we've already had an update of a Chocolate-Peanut Butter Cupcake, it was from Contempo Cafe. Since the two look very different, I'm going to award Ellen a Scavenger Hunt point for this cupcake update.
