2012 Epcot Food and Wine Festival *HAS ENDED*

So does anyone have an idea what this means? Seems to suggest that the F&W Fest is only running on select Fridays and Saturdays not every one.

Select Fridays and Saturdays get an extra hour till 10PM.

Then why wouldn't it say everyday 9-9 and select days til 10?

Dunno, last year most Fri/Sat had an extra hour and the special ticket event start times for PFTS and 3DD were moved back an hour to reflect the additional hour. Nothing to be concerned about...more F&W time for all.

Good point. It's poorly stated:

September 28 – November 12, 2012
Sunday-Thursday 9:00am-9:00pm,
Select Friday-Saturday 9:00am-10:00pm
9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/26,
10/27, 11/2, 11/3, 11/9

Something like this would have made more sense:

September 28 – November 12, 2012
Future World: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
World Showcase: 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Extra hour until 10:00 p.m. on select Fridays and Saturdays:
9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/26, 10/27, 11/2, 11/3, 11/9

No worries, the festival does NOT run only on select Fridays and Saturdays. It is every day from Friday through November 12.

What they are saying is that Epcot is open until 10 instead of 9 on select Fridays and Saturdays. OK, maybe they worded it badly.

Can't say for sure, this is the first year they have done the non-WVL reserved seating. I am assuming at least there will be high tables for the general admission to prop their food, but as to whether there will be tables and chairs, and how many? Can't say until the first party on October 6.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll wait until after the first party to see what everyone has to say.

Yeah I go every year to the event so that sort of threw me for a loop when I read it. I couldn't believe they woudl cut out days on weekends when they are ridiculously crowded.

I think it does
"Sunday-Thursday 9:00am-9:00pm,
SelecT Friday-SaTurday 9:00am-10:00pm
9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/26,
10/27, 11/2, 11/3, 11/9"

I think folks aren't reading the cover well.

That wording effectively says that the Food & Wine Festival is closed on Friday 9/28, Friday 10/5, Friday 10/12, Friday 10/19, Saturday 11/10.

Those days are not Sunday through Thursday. And they're not listed as select Fridays and Saturdays.

I think it's safe to assume the Festival will be operating those days. Most likely, on those days, the closing time will be 9:00 p.m. But that's not what it says.

I don't see that wording at all.

I think some of you are working hard at making this complicated

Whatever the wording is, it doesn't matter. They are not going to close down the festival on those days. There are festival events scheduled for all of them. I also don't see that it says anything about closure.

Yikes $9.75 for the Cosmo Slush now! :scared1: That's one of my favorite things at the festival. Not sure it's worth $9.75 though. Looks like I'll have to limit myself to one this time around.

Almost every price for booth items has gone up. Some of the alcoholic beverages went up a full dollar.

in case some people don't have the link, here's the disney food blog's link for the new menus and prices (sad about the price increases :worried:): http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2012-epcot-food-and-wine-festival-marketplace-booths-and-menus/
I'm glad the pumpkin mousse is back this year. We really enjoyed that last year. We also enjoyed the griddled cheese in the Greece booth so it's good to see that back again this year. And I see a vegetarian option in the Poland booth!

Hey! I was just making that comparison from last years prices to this year! Bummer, nipple that means more food for your buck..

I don't know why folks seem surprised at price increases. It is Disney. Have you noticed the increases in park tickets and hotel rates? (the latter have reached the "they are crazy" stage)

Plus at my grocery a lot of what I buy costs more then a year ago.
