An October 2012 trip in the making Update 10/4 - Final update

I stayed at CBR in 2009-I really liked it. It is a big resort. Our room was near the back of the resort so it was a nice walk to the main building-not too bad though. Alot of times we would get off at the bus stop near the front building, go in and get something to eat, then catch the internal bus to go to our section. Being next to a quiet pool was nice! Never crowded!

I requested the building next to the main one. I think it is a preferred building. We will see.
I do look forward to seeing the resort.

So let’s break up this pre tr a little and get to know each other. Tell me the top 5 things for you to do at The Magic kingdom? Only the magic Kingdom (the rest will be coming).

Mine are

  1. Pirates Of The Caribbean.
  2. Buzz Lightyear
  3. Tomorrowland Transit Authority
  4. Carousel of Progress
  5. It’s A Small World (don’t judge me, LOL)

So what do you HAVE to do?

Next,

Day 3

Since it is only 5 , my favorite 5 Magic Kingdom thing are :

1. Jungle Cruise

2. Pirates of the Caribean

3. Country bear Jamboree

4. Haunted Mansion

5. Carousel of Progress

1. Cinnamon bun at the Main Steert Bakery, who am I kidding that should be plural. It really is the thing I look forward to the most.

2. Haunted Mansion, if I win the meag whatevr I would have a house built to look just like it.

3. Pirates.

4. A meal at CRT. most likely dinner and watch wishes from inside ( if it is in the budget)

5.Just walking around at night after many of the people have left and taking it all in.

Not really rides, just my fave things.

We have stayed at CBR twice and loved it! Very beautiful and relaxing!

Top 5 at MK:
1. Splash Mountain
2. Haunted Mansion
3. Pirates of the Caribbean
4. Jungle Cruise
5. Teacups

And eating a dole whip and seeing the parade and fireworks. :thumbsup2

Seems Pirates is a popular choice but yet I have never really experienced a long line for it.

Haunted Mansion is also popular. I have experienced massive lines for this.
Keep them coming folks. I am interested.

Day 3 plans:
We have no breakfast plans but might eat in the park of our choice. I believe this day we will be in Epcot.

We have no dining adr’s till this evening so we are open to anything. I do not think we will get there at opening. We shall take it slow. I do have my hopes.

  • Soarin’ – One of my favorite rides in WDW.
  • Mission Space: Green – Have not done this in a few years so I think it is time.
  • Crush show – I have never seen it so I think this is a must this time.
  • Living With The Land – a must every trip.

After these we will probably go back to the resort and swim.

Up next,

More plans for the day.

:wave2: I just found your PTR, and I'm subbing in!

We stayed at CBR and liked it a lot. The custom house (I think that's the name of it) where you check in smells tropical and wonderful...sets the tone for the whole resort! The beds are super comfy! The grounds are lush and pretty...lots of photo opps. We liked the bridge that goes over to the food court, too, although the food court itself was a bit disappointing. We were there in early December, and it was quiet and serene. We'd definitely stay there again!

My must dos for MK are:

1. Haunted Mansion
2. Pirates
3. Jungle Cruise
4. PeopleMover (TTA)
5. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad/Splash Mountain (I can't choose between them!)

Hi,
Thanks for joining in. I read your pre tr today but only got half way through so still have more to go. Started your tr but the print is so small I had to go to my screen to read. :rotfl: I did not finish that either but I will. :thumbsup2

I am looking forward to CBR.

See HM and POTC on the list. LOL

LOL. I would SM. I love that drop.

We have never done CRT.

#5 is my fave.

Hi Scott. I made it over to your PTR. I have to admit I was thoroughly confused as to where you were staying. Then around update 7, I thought I had it---Then, you changed it up again in update 11. I think the current resorts are SSR and CBR if I haven't missed something...... ;)

I've been to Typhoon Lagoon once-thought it was fun. The lazy river is a relaxing way to spend the afternoon.

**My five must-dos at MK:
1. Space Mtn.
2. Carousel of Progress
3. Pirates
4. Haunted Mansion
5. Wishes

Sorry about the confusion I do change my mind a lot. I was thinking last night of switching to the Lion King Suite at AofA. It didn't happen.
Yes we are at SSR and CBR. SSR can change if our waitlist comes through but I doubt it.

Pirates and HM again make a list. Very popular rides. COP is a must for me. I love it.

My #1 must do......

It's a Small World :goodvibes

if it's a list of 5...
Haunted Mansion
Pirates
Winnie the Pooh
Buzz Lightyear

I have been thinking about my 5 must dos in MK, a daunting task as there are more than 5. Right now I would have to say they are

1. It's a Small World - This is number 1 on my list not my families. It's a sentimental favorite as I rode it in the 1964 NY Worlds Fair and it brings back memories of me and my mom.

2. Pirates Of the Caribbean - I have to ride this several times a visit

3. Haunted MAnsion - again a multiple ride in a visit

4. Carousel of Progress - another ride from the Worlds Fair

5. Transit Authority or Buzz Lightyear - I like Buzz but I can never win on this ride. My DH scores 999,999 to my 1000 points. Of course the fact that I am usually taking pictures may have something to do with that. I like the People Mover because it is so relaxing.

I have other favorites but don't know if I would rank them in the top 5.

I do enjoy IASW.

I have to do Pirates every time I enter MK. :rotfl2:
