We have way too many mugs.
We are going again in December and we have the DDP so we will get another 4 mugs. We already have 8 with the beach scene.( 2 trips in the last year)
Eight of the red mickey ones. 4 Year of the million dreams. 4 CSR, 4 Poly,
4 Typhoon Lagoon and we have given or donated numerous others, We never use them at home as we use the Contigo water and coffee as they are spillproof.

What do we do with all these mugs?

You could donate them to a shelter or to Goodwill. :)

Even if you are offered them, don't get them. Kind of like leaving a snack or two behind on the dining plan.

Or if you already have them at home, recycle them with your other plastics. That's what we do with the popcorn buckets when we had several.

How are they supposed to get refills during their stay if they don't get the new mugs?:confused3

I read their post as they didn't really use them at WDW. But I see they don't use them at home. So get the mug, use them and then recycle them with your plastics at home.

Does anyone know where at CSR you can refill mugs? In particular, I was wondering if you can use them at Pepper Market for dinner. :confused3 I know you can use the mugs at other Mod CS restaurants, but PM sounds like a little different set up than other CS places.

Thanks!

Yes, you can use them at the Pepper Market for dinner. You can also refill them at Cafe Rix and Siestas by the pool.

Great! Thanks!

So a couple pages back, there was talk of a new design...can anyone confirm or deny?! Our last few trips we got the pool mugs - it would be nice to get something different.

Check post #1297. He's pretty confident that the current design will be around for a couple of years (since that's how long previous designs have lasted), which would be until early 2013.

Still have not seen any follow up on that mention of a new design, which was a "report" from Disney's Vero Beach resort not WDW. So yes I stick by my prediction of a new design for early 2013. Would be glad to be wrong... :goodvibes

We are visiting WDW this fall and plan on going to Typhoon Lagoon. We heard that the water park refillable mugs have changed. Does anyone know if you can still use the older (previous) water park mugs and just purchase the sticker? Thanks!

I'm guessing the "Mickey mug" at Vero Beach was an "old" mug. The poster said the mug was the same as the one in a post that she was replying to and her post "ended up here." The only mug in this thread with a prominent Mickey was at the beginning and it's the old "Celebrate Today" one.

As a new member I cannot leave links or pics yet - check out the link that Wendy and Grumpy posted - that's them

Anybody know what the current colors are? I've seen pink, yellow and blue. I've also seen black. We will be at POR, if that makes a difference. Last year, we stayed at POP, options included orange, green and lilac.

We were at French Quarter in February and got pink black and blue.

We were both lucky enough to be at Pop last August when the supply of other colors was available. That supply didn't last long! If you visited Pop this year you'd see the usual pink, blue, and black lids.

Yes, it was August when we were there. My family noticed the variety of colors, while I checked in. We went to lunch and the mugs shelves were almost empty. DH and DDs picked colors pink, blue and green. I waited a few minutes for them to restock the mugs and was lucky to have a choice of orange or lilac. When we were leaving someone asked my DH where he got the mug color. It was a Mom who had a larger family and could use the variety. She asked a CM to check in back for additional colors, but to no avail. My sister went to ASSp to get a lilac one in December 2011.
