***Official Disney Apps Thread - UPDATE: 8/4/12***

I have an iPhone and wasn't able to download mobile magic. I don't know if just Verizon customers have access to it or not????

Anyway the wait times app I used last week was "wdw heat tables." It is $1.99. And it was super accurate. It Color codes the wait times and shows Fast Pass availability (indicating if fast passes are about to run out). I find myself checking it even now that I have returned (sigh) home.

Yep we do (Verizon iPhone customers have it). I just uploaded it and it was free.

Got the Disney Gift Card app from the App Store not iTunes. Downloaded it to my iPad2 just to have it. I'm waiting for the next generation iPhone to come out so I just wanted to play with the app for now.

Okay, thanks for the clarification, M5ward!

I just downloaded Mobile Magic from the App store and I have AT&T.
Supposedly it is available to all US iphone users. I just hope I don't have my head buried in my phone comparing wait times on all of my apps during our trip!

It is NOT available on international iTunes stores. But I could see the app when I log on to US iTunes store.

Now if only data was not so expensive for UK visitors I would get better use of Disney apps :thumbsup2

So, the aps that have the free version and the paid version with no ads, is the "no ads" part the ONLY difference? Do you get anything additional with the paid version?

We just got our iPhones yesterday, so I'm busy adding aps to it!

In my experience(I have an iPod touch), the difference is usually: no ads, and more features. I haven't used any Disney apps, so you would have to try it out. If you want to, you can post back here with the differences of some of the apps. It would be appreciated!

Is there a bug with mouse memo? I've been entering my ADR's and after doing about 5 or 6 of them, I noticed that even after I entered all of the confirmation numbers on the proper line and I saved everything, on the screen that lists all of the ADR's by date, in the spot where the conf # should be, it has a combination of either the WDW phone number or the name of the restaurant again. When I open up that specific ADR listing, it has the misinformation in the conf # space. I don't want to rely on this app for my ADRs only to have important info lost.

Quick question re: Mobile Magic. Am I able to download it to my Ipod? I just can't seem to find it on the Apple App store over my Ipod. Perhaps I am wrong in assuming that if it can work on Iphone, it will on Ipod?

I saw it on my iPod touch about two weeks ago. The AppStore doesn't block off apps to certain devices, so maybe the app was pulled?

I'm sorry it may have already been asked, is there a DIS Board app?

There is a MousePlanet - MousePad app. ???

Reporting back on the Disney Gift Card App. It was flawless and impressive! The balance change was instantaneous after every single purchase. Gift cards for our kids are now going to be a WDW vacation staple.

There is a DIS Boards app. I'm surprised it hasn't been listed here yet. Well, here I go...

eTicket WDW and eTicket DL (two separate apps)

  • I think each costs $5.99
  • Includes maps of each park for the assosiated resort
  • Lists and descriptions of attractions, restaurants, resorts, etc.
  • No wait times
  • Park hours
  • "My Itinerary" function to list your entire schedule
  • DISBoards login with view of boards optimized for your phone
  • DVC points calculator
  • Available on iPhone (not sure about other platforms)
Comments:
  • I got this for the Disboards link, but I don't use it. My biggest complaint is that I can't just list my subscriptions. I have to drill down to each thread I'm interested in and see if there are any new posts. Not useful for me.
  • Also I wish the WDW and DL apps were combined. $5.99 for each is too much for info you can get elsewhere for free. Not that much value added, in my opinion.

That stinks! It's not on Android and I wouldn't pay for it.
