Well, someone had to do it. We have at least one thread a month talking about the apps for the iPhone and Android phones, so I thought there should be an official thread for it. Also, any tips about the apps are greatly appreciated. I don't have anything to add - I don't use apps - but contributions will be compiled into a list. I'll try to compile the tips too.

    Details that should be included:

    The app's name...

    The app's use...

    The app's price...

    The app's tips and tricks...(optional)

I think we need to incorporate Android Apps also. Not just IPhone.

    Lines App by Touring Plans
    Wait Times, Crowd Calendars
Free, but Crowd Calendars require subscription 10.95$/year discounted if you buy Unofficial Guide book.
You can get "badges" much like FourSquare and it shows on your profile. Like most wait times submitted.

    Disney World by Undercover Tourist

Wait Times, Restaurant list and menus, distance to park or attraction.
Free for use but if you want the Ad Free it's like 2-3 dollars. I have the free version.
You can hold down a location such as holding down "Fantasmic" and it brings up the places to submit wait times, view a map of the park and details of the attraction. You can also expand the details of each park to include each restaurant and some of them have menus. Also you can press for about 3 seconds on the date in each park to see a full list of all shows during that specific day. Only downfall is that they haven't updated their list to exclude ToonTown attractions.

    Also:

Walt Disney World Fun Facts App
Gives you trivia and tips for around the parks. Great little app to finding things that Imagineers have hidden throughout the parks.
    Free!

I just got an iPhone about 6 hours ago and the very first app I downloaded was the free Undercover Tourist one. Thanks for the info on others.

If you have an IPhone or Android on Verizon Network you can get Disney's Mobile Magic. Does roughly the same as Touring Plans Lines app. But they give you a free I believe 60 or 90 day free trial.

I use MOUSE MEMO a lot for inputting trip details. It is from the AllEars gang.

You can add all your reservations from flights, to ground transportation to dining, etc. There is also a restaurant listing that menus and prices.

I can't remember the price as I bought it 2 years ago.

I find this app really handy and it makes my trips paper free!

Park Maps - Wait Times - Dining - Park Hours

free versions available - $1.99 ad-free version also available

    IMO, it's terrific.
The Park Maps have the wait time in them - so if you zoom in and pan thru the map, the wait times are on the attractions.

The Park Hours is handy - lists EM hours and major parades/fireworks/etc.

Overall it's very easy to use, very nice graphically, and very informative.

This is what I bought an iPhone for - information at my fingertips.

Also, not apps per say, but I have the Steve Soares website and Robo's Maps bookmarked on my Safari Browser:

I use pinpoint.com for maps (.99), they have all of Disney as well as sea world, Universal, Islands of Adventure and the Orlando Airport.

I also found a free ride counter on WDWMajic. You type in the names of your patry and click when you go on each ride and it totals how many times you have ridden each ride. Kind of fun and free!

It should be completely free now. On Android, it can actually be used on any carrier, but telling how to do this is against the DIS rules so please don't ask me. It is pretty easy to figure out on your own.

This one looks great, but it's $4.99. Trying to decide right now if I should go ahead and get it or not.

I don't think you can put Disney's Mobile Magic on iPhones. I've tried to download it from Verizon's site, but it tells me my phone isn't compatible.

Its the one I quoted in my post, the Disney World Magic Guide. It was 4.99, not 1.99.

This is the App. Pretty sure it's not available for IPhones, just Android. Heres the URL: Disney World Fun Facts for Android
