Hi Jess. In between writing my APUSH paper and all the other crap I have to do, I just thought I'd tell you that I am reading every SINGLE update and I will comment on all of them in about 265 years when I get to that day of the trip report. But I'm here and I'm loving it all as per usual!! I hope you have an absolutely MAGICAL time and you better keep me updated so I can obnoxiously post on here what you're up to. Once again I've disappeared and now I'm showing up and behind... I feel so bad... I will have to do some major catching-up over Christmas vacation which is THREE DAYS AWAY! So my Christmas present will then be to you, my... *wait for it*... gazillion comments Yeah, we'll just say that, my gazillion comments are Christmas gifts

I hope you have fun on your trip! For the longest time I thought you already left lol I can't wait to find out what this surprise is, though... being me, I like to figure out what the surprise is and I have my guesses, but I'll let you just reveal it and let me be me. And while I wait I'll be catching up on this epic TR (even though I've been following your videos quite religiously ) hehe

So, for now... Merry Christmas! And I also wanted to let you know Aladdin is on at the moment on ABC Family and I know how much you love that movie though I'm sure you and Kristen are probably watching it, if you are home yet. If you are, tell that frump to get her butt on Pottermore so we can duel (yes Kristen, dueling is up! )

Oh my God so do I! I think if they tore it down now that would be a shame. People our age grew up with it there, so it would be so weird if it was gone!

Thanks for the update! We are big Star Wars fans so we are looking forward to the new ride. I never rode the old one because I can't stand simulator type rides but for our next trip I am going to take some Bonine so I can try it.
I am really looking forward to your Christmas trip report - I am sure you will have some amazing pictures. We are going to Florida over Christmas too but not Disney, about two hours south of it. I will be thinking about you up in the World having fun. You and your family have a very blessed Christmas!

I don't really understand what's going on in that ride either, but my husband is a big Star Wars fan so when all the movies came out on BluRay I bought him the set and we've been gradually watching them. HAVE FUN ON YOUR TRIP!!!!! Christmas in Disney is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!! Be sure to check out the Castle lighting ceremony, Osbourne lights and special christmas ending of illuminations... THEY ARE ALL AMAZING!!!!!! I can't wait to hear about all of your surprises you mentioned. Lucky that you get to leave the cold weather as well, although where i live the winter hasn't been as bad as normal for this time of year. My brother and his wife are actually going to Disney this week 2 for their honeymoon so my mom and i have been super excited gathering all of their info together since we helped them with the planning aspect.

As far as your update goes the star tours ride looks like so much fun! I'm not a big star wars fan but i definitely think i am going to want to ride that ride. Thanks for the general summary of what the ride story is as well! I haven't heard much about what it was like now that they rennovated other than what you mentioned. funny that you ended up being chosen as the rebel spy. Chapter 28: "PERIWINKLE!" "That's My Favorite Crayon!"
August 22nd, 2011

The reason we were aimlessly walking around Hollywood Studios was because we were waiting for Vickie and Dan to arrive! If you read my first trip report, The Port Report: Frumpin' Around the World with the Bathrobe Princesses , you would remember our friend, Vickie! She was coincidentally down in Disney with her family at the same time as us, so we wanted to meet up this night for Extra Magic Hours!

We met them near The Magic of Disney Animation and arrived while Vickie was in the bathroom. Dan was lingering outside, so we said our hellos and he told us to go around the corner of the bathroom so we could run out and surprise Vickie when she came out!

She finally exited the bathroom and we stampeded towards her and gave her a huge group hug! WE'RE BACK IN DISNEY AND WE'RE REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO GOOD!

We were ready for our night to begin! We wanted to go do the drawing class in the Magic of Disney Animation building, but the line was just way too long! Wasting time was not acceptable!

So we left and went on STAR TOURS again! It's different every single time, which is absolutely awesome! That makes the experience even better.

We were all buckling up, the cast member was ready to give us our instructions. He told us "All eyes on me!" and this little boy in the front yelled out "My teacher tells us that at school!" The whole car laughed, it was the most precious thing ever.

We got off and Vick told us that when they were at Hollywood earlier in the day, she was the Rebel Spy too! So you know what that means...

REBEL SPY T-SHIRT PICTURE!

Kristen traded for a deer pin while we were in that gift shop. Unfortunately, she traded it away later in her vacation. But it was a great find at the time!

We left Star Tours and headed to our next destination. Here are Nat and Kristen patiently waiting for us:

We were going to the Tower of Terror! I seriously just feel like I'm floating on that ride, it's AMAZING!

We planned to all do the deer face on our ride picture, however I don't think Vick got the memo. And Dan just seems to look like he's having the time of his life while the rest of us are just sitting there. LOL it's a great picture, really.

We left there and went over to Rock N Roller Coaster with intentions of going on that next.

However, Vickie and Dan were staying at an off property resort called the Windham. The thing was that they got a ton of different responses to the question "can we stay during extra magic hours?" Some people said yes and some said no. For example, at Tower of Terror they were completely fine, but the girls at Rock N Roller Coaster said absolutely not. And they were NASTY about it, they were not. So that was pretty frustrating. Vick and Dan weren't going to go back to Hollywood and they didn't get to ride Rock N Roller Coaster yet so they were upset.

Being the nice veterans that we are, Kristen and I let Vickie and Dan use our room keys so they could go on with Nat. They were really grateful and went on the ride! The nasty cast members didn't even remember them so they got in line without a problem!

Kristen and I decided to sit at Fairfaxe Fair and catch up on our trip journals. We were SO behind. The whole time they were waiting for and going on Rock N Roller Coaster, we just wrote and wrote and wrote.

I think that this was my breaking point during the trip - the Hollywood Studios Extra Magic Hours. I was getting SO incredibly tired, and my feet hurt SO bad. And to top it off, it was super humid out even though it was very late at night.

I asked Kristen to get me a bottle of water from Fairfaxe Fair as long as we were sitting there, and she comes back with a free cake! They gave it to her because she was wearing her birthday button! YAY FOR FREE CAKE! She was so excited, it was one of the highlights of her trip.

We shared the delicious chocolate cake and then Vick, Dan, and Nat were done! We decided to head over to Toy Story Mania to squeeze in one last ride!

We got to the attraction and the Cast Member put the rope up to block off the line. That was not the sight we wanted to see. We told him "NO PLEASE! YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO US!!!" And he was like "yes I can! JUST KIDDING go ahead!" Hahaha way to give me a heart attack, buddy.

And also, Vick and Dan used their room keys and got on Toy Story Mania without a problem. So it really depends on the cast members, I guess.

We got in the standby line. That was my first time EVER in the standby line, it was so weird! But it's decorated so beautifully, I loved it! To entertain ourselves in line we took some videos and pictures.

We got a nice group picture with Mr. Potato Head, which is a huge highlight of sticking it out till the end of Extra Magic Hours.

HAHAHAHA this picture just cracks me up. Not only Dan and his multiple pairs of glasses, but the guy standing behind him. He looks EXHAUSTED.

Nat may look angry, but she is actually QUITE excited to go on this ride.

All of the girls:

No dancing on this one either?! At least it's on a nice piece of paper stapled to the wall...

Dan absolutely LOVES Toy Story and this whole queue. It's probably the greatest thing to any Toy Story fan out there. He proclaimed that the Periwinkle Crayon was his favorite, and then Kristen got all excited, because the Periwinkle crayon is her absolute FAVORITE. And she "also likes the orange one."

The conversations we had while waiting in line were pretty dang hilarious, because we were beyond exhausted. However, after about 15 minutes we were on the ride!

I got the highest score again! I was on a roll that day.

I have to say, that was a pretty successful way to end the night!

We took lots of pictures on the way out because the park was EMPTY!

And we laid on the ground in front of the hat... just because we could.

And one last picture before we exited:

We said goodbye to Vickie and Dan and then took our bus back to Coronado.

We all walked around the room like zombies. We NEEDED sleep. Kristen slept over again that night.

We filled up the bath tub with hot water and soaked our feet because we were in SO much pain. Ugh it was awful.

Then we crashed. Big time. We had another day at the parks tomorrow, and sadly, it was our last full day.

Wrap-Up of Day 2:

Highs:
- Getting in and out of Hollywood Studios within 20 minutes!
- Having my first Red Velvet Cupcake
- Getting free Kilimanjaro Fastpasses because of the birthday button
- DISNEY PIZZA from Pizzafari
- Nat's first ride on Toy Story Mania
- One Man's Dream
- Meeting up with Vickie and Dan and just basically hanging out with them in Disney!

Lows:
- The HEAT.
- The less than fantastic meal at Tusker House
- The crowds at the bus stop at Animal Kingdom
- My feet KILLING and getting to be very exhausted
- The jerk cast members at Rock N Rollercoaster

I just reread your evening at the Magic Kingdom on August 21st because I realized I was there at the same time! I doubt our paths crossed though, as we seemed to have been in different parts of the parks during those few hours. The only time we must have come close is right after Wishes. You went to ride Snow White and we went on Winnie the Pooh.

Hahaha I know aren't' I weird!? There are some rides I just never go standby for. I also had never really done DHS EMH until this trip (I know.. I'm insane) but I hope I can do it again during this upcoming vacation! We will see if anyone will actually stay with me.

I just reread your evening at the Magic Kingdom on August 21st because I realized I was there at the same time! I doubt our paths crossed though, as we seemed to have been in different parts of the parks during those few hours. The only time we must have come close is right after Wishes. You went to ride Snow White and we went on Winnie the Pooh.

Okay so I STILL haven't done a drawing class so I obviously have never seen the pre-show, but when you mentioned it, it reminded me of the Disney Full House where Joey goes into the animation building (which I GUESS is the same one?!) and he draws himself as a cartoon and uses his head as like all kinds of sports balls... yeah... my mind tends to wander...

Real Life Update #2: ONE DAY!
December 20th, 2011

TOMORROW, TOMORROW, I'LL LOVE YA, TOMORROW! TOMORROW IS DISNEY DAY!

Actually it will be Disney day in a little less than half an hour from now!

And with that said, I will unfortunately will not be able to do a trip report update tonight. However, I am going to get a little extra sleep by not doing so, which is for the benefit of us all.

I'm leaving my house tomorrow at 5:30 am (It's not a Disney trip without an obnoxiously early wake up time!) and I will be arriving in the World shortly after. MY MIND IS BLOWN.

I can't wait. I seriously am freaking out. But I'm so tired. It took me FOREVER AND A DAY to get packed. But I'm finally ready. READY TO GO. Let's go, let's go, LETS GOOOOOO!!

Please excuse my exceptionally high excitement level.

Alright, that's really all I have to say. I wanted to apologize for the lack of promised update, but at least it's for good reason!
