Sorry to hear you couldn't see the shuttle. One my very first trip to Disney we drove over to Kennedy space center and got to see the shuttle lunch from the viewing area over there - it was one of the coolest things ever! and a couple years ago we were able to see a a shuttle launch in the early evening from the TCC. I can't remember why we had a car and drove that day but I think it might have been the same night of the monorail accident

Going to the Space Center is VERY cool! Very sad about the accident, though.

I love Y&Y. My BFF and I split the lettuce cups last time and they were wonderful. Sorry to hear your group didn't enjoy them. Then she and I each had the seared tuna - yummo! I love traveling with her and her family because we love to split appies and just have those for a meal. Our DH's would never do that so it works out great for us

Oh- I'm sorry I gave that impression- we LOVE the lettuce cups- they are delicious!! It's just that Laura thought it was Boston lettuce, and it was iceberg, which she can't eat (but did) so she got a sore tummy.

I am ALLLL about splitting the appies- I love to try everything and am very happy to share! Glad you have a friend to do that with!

Wow Laura, you are the second person I have met who cannot eat iceberg lettuce but can eat other types of lettuce. The other person is my spouse. How are you with broccoli? That is the other no-no food. When we went to Hoop-de-doo I put on the restricted foods list, iceberg lettuce and broccoli. The chef came out to talk with us and said, “We were told you can only eat iceberg lettuce and broccoli and will prepare a special meal for you.” Luckily we were able to correct it to NO iceberg lettuce and broccoli and no special meal was needed.

What a fun time you girls had! Y&Y looks great, may have to try it sometime. It was awfully hard to do anything like that on our trip. Going with GDs & DIL was very rushed, we got our old butts kicked by the Mouse!

We were all up early to watch the space shuttle launch along with everyone else in town.
Still cool that you could hear it

With no ADR, we were still seated in 20 minutes, so we thought that was excellent!

We were going to order snocone tinis, but they don't have them anymore.
well i hope its short lived like the tostadas from the ditch and they make a comeback

It was an excellent lunch, I have to say! (Other than Laura and the lettuce cups) It's such a shame the park always closes so early, because it really limits the ability to come here for dinner alot of the time (I wanted to book it for my upcoming vacation, but didn't feel like having dinner at 4pm, KWIM?).
but if so you could have a late night snack somewhere.. just saying

After lunch, it was time to use our FPs. But first, a little monkey lovin'

Only 5 of us were riding, because Lonnie had an arm's length of excuses- I mean, reasons- why she couldn't....

Kara had to ride solo, because , well, quite frankly it was past noon and that's when Kara starts to get a little....ripe.

I was really excited to ride with Evie-

There doesn't seem to be any track-

I don't know if you can see, but that's Evie & Me, Joan & Laura in the pic on the left. Kara's in the photo on the right in the back, airing out her armpits.

It was so much fun, we all got right back on the single riders line to go again-

ALL THE SINGLE RIDERS! all the single riders!

Surprise, surprise, there still didn't seem to be any track!

I love that ride- especially when it doesn't stop on the way UP the mountain!

Next we went to ride Dinosaur-

Open the door! Get on the floor! Everybody ride the DINOSAUR!

Traveling back through time-

I was leaning as far away as I could, but it doesn't matter- A billion years ago or today, it all stinks the same...

That's such a funny ride! Outside, we took a group shot, and, as you can see, I was so happy to be downwind of you-know-who-

Up next- HOPEFULLY SOMEONE OUT THERE WILL UPDATE BESIDES ME! (Not that I've given anyone anything to write about, because everything I just wrote was absolutely TRUE!!).

After Dino time, we walked over to the Dawa Bar-

We had gone by a little earlier, and were sad to see there was no African entertainment. So we decided to drown our sorrows-

Just as we sat down, the musicians came out to play-

And THIS time, when they were looking for dancers, they didn't just ask me (like last year) they asked us ALL!!!

But Lonnie & Joan wouldn't dance. Kara, Evie, Laura & myself were all very happy to humiliate ourselves, however! So...Go US!

I really LOVE doin that!! It is HILARIOUS!! I really have to get Timmy over there next trip because he is DYING to be chosen to go on stage....we all took a pic-

And got into a conversation with one of the dancers....who asked me where we lived- when I said NJ, he started to tell me he was visiting NYC next month. And I think he mumbled something about me coming in to see him, but I pretended I didn't understand and waved good bye....

Laura then met a CM she knew who was hostessing for Tusker House, I think. Small world!

Next, it was time for MORE shopping. There was soooooo much shopping on this trip. Anyway, Evie decided to put on a new hat-

O.M.GEEEEEE!!!!!!

Eventually we went to the bus, and back to BWV- time for a little break at the scary clown pool! Next!
