The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

Wow, I had no idea that the arch changed color! Katharina and I are trying ot find an evening at DHS during our trip. Since they have added daily Fantasmic for when we are there, I wonder how evenings there will work out...

Wow, 11 o'clock is an early night for you.

I know right? :lmao: There was that 8:30 night and despite starting to lose my voice and beginning to cough I was still able to stay out somewhat late.

So, if you do the Visa photo thing you have to wait a while to get the picture? If you had stayed at Epcot, how long would it have taken to be ready?

They have told me anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours. I would assume that the photographer needs to go up and download. Unless they have somem magic way of doing it.

We really loved our meal at Kona when we went there on our date night a couple of years ago. And that tiki is where Lauren and I took a couple of pictures with the coconuts that I bought for my dad and father-in-law.

Since I love the EWP I visit the Poly on every trip. That proved to be important during a future trip. :upsidedow

Good job beating the crowd out of Fantasmic. That's kind of like the reverse of the TSM stampede, but just as important!

It was kind of reverse TSM stampede mentality. I got to hang around with out being "herded".

That made me laugh out loud! Love it!

She caught me off guard so it was  then :rotfl2:

 That is awesome! But...I fear for your arm.

I survived. I was able to "shake it out" betwen rides.

:rotfl2: I forgot about you spotting me from the other end and my crane ensuring you it was me! That's just hilarious! It was so great meeting you! I hope our paths cross again in the future.

My spidey senses were tingling.:lmao: I hope next time we get to spend more time together. ::yes::

I think that was the last time this ride was open...:rolleyes1
Tragic accident. I think it scheduled to reopen soon. I hope they found out why it happened and were able to prevent it from happeneing again.

:faint:

EIGHT! I am in awe. I think I could probably handle 3...but 8! :worship: And those are some HILARIOUS pictures! I love the one of you pointing at the empty seat! :rotfl2:

That was my "oh no, where did he go? look " :lmao:

As do I. Loooooove those little tiny wait times!

And for you, from August:

IMG2098-L.jpg

Second to the end if your man, I believe.

IMG2122-L.jpg

That's the same guy, right?? He's making such a face, I can't fully tell! I tried really hard to get a shot of him, I wish I had a better zoom!

You probably prefer this one though:
IMG2125-L.jpg

Yup that's him. I did have consult the shrine ... I mean my other picture to confirm. :lmao:

Pat, I get exhausted with all of the running from park to park you do AND on buses. :scared1:

Most times the busses are my little bit of "down time" before the next big adventure. Since you have reading along you know it doen't always work out, but most times I have had no troubles.

We've never done Kona for any meal, but are doing breakfast in two weeks. How did you like the dinner? I can't wait to see the Poly again (looking for asundress while I am there).
Our dinner was great. I have heard Breakfast is great too. I think this trip I may get a sundress too. I had my eye on one in AK.

Love the Visa photo of you with Mickey and Pluto. :thumbsup2

I started really making time for those. So far mine have been with part of the fab 5 but it is a great little freebis so I take advantage when I can.

With all the hidden Mickey's you've been pointing out I can't believe you didn't talk about this one ;)

So THAT's why I took that picture. The HM was not in my notes and when I looked over the pictures I guess I did not see it. Hard to believe since I see 'em when the they are not even there. :lmao:

Very! One of the main reasons I have yet to see Fantasmic - I just can't make myself deal with that crowd!

Do what I did and let it pass and then go in. I go a decent seat and it was on the end so I made a quick get away.

I had no idea - very cool!

Disney makes such ordinary things so cool. :lovestruc

Hopefully you will be able to see it in person then.
Hopefully those crazy crowds for Fantasmic will subside if it being offered every night. I think Disney was seeing how much it could save by cutting performances but the crowd situation was ugly. I hope that had some weight in resuming preformances.

I have been stalking DVC for openings for my Dec NYE trip.

I call again today and while we are looking around the CM tries to tell me I don't have enough points. I knew that was wrong so we started investigating.

Apparently my wait list came through and I now have a split stay SSR for DEC 29 - Jan 1 and AKL for Jan 1-3. :cool1: ( now if I could get AKL for the first 3 nights. :scratchin ) I was able to cancel my reservation for POP and though I will hate to lose POP since I booked to hear the Christmas music, I will have to make a trip over for tye dye cheesecake and to hear the music. :)

Day 7 Friday Sept 10th 2010.

This morning Chris wanted more sleep so I let him sleep in. This time I would be in front.
I took my time leaving to catch the sights of the resort.
First the smokers gathered around the fountain.

I wonder why this woman is in time out?

P9105032.jpg

I am thinking this guy is looking for the pool.

P9105034.jpg

Uh Oh a runaway

P9105036.jpg

Oh wait he is practicing to be my son.

P9105037.jpg

My destination today?

P9105041.jpg

Feels like I was just here ;)
However, all those people at F! are not with me. Arriving at 8:47, I am able to wait here.

P9105044.jpg

Follow the crowd to get this.

P9105048.jpg

Of course I get in the stand by line.
The result?

P9105077.jpg

This guy waiting for a taxi?

P9105084.jpg

ToT is down. Must be something with the elevator. ;) So I take a spin in the limo using the single riders line.

P9105090.jpg

It I time for my FP. As I pass the return time is already.

P9105091.jpg

Did you ever notice there are 2 yellow green crayons ? the problem is they don’t look alike.

The first in the stand by line.

P9105060.jpg

The second by the FP line.

I tried to confuse myself with the next set of pictures but apparently I was able to take pictures of my score as I worked through the five games.
After the henhouse.

P9105101.jpg

After the balloon pop volcano

P9105102.jpg

After the soldiers and the plate break.

P9105103.jpg

After the aliens in the rocket.

P9105104.jpg

Then the final mine carts

P9105105.jpg

Not my best. I guess I need a few spins to get my arm warmed up.

All that string pulling worked up an appetite. Where shall I eat?

We love a Kona dinner or a Kona breakfast, but I am partial to the dinner.

You can come and visit us at Pop to see our Christmas tree and eat tie-dyed cheesecake.
Then we'll come visit you at AKL on January 1 to see your Christmas tree and eat zebra domes. :santa:

It's a deal. :woohoo:

Great morning at the Studios again. I must learn some tricks from you to get my score higherh on TSM...I never get anywhere near that and Mark cheats and always beats me. :rolleyes1

Glenn had some on one of his TRs but youtube and google it. :thumbsup2

Working up an appetite, I went to Starring Rolls to burn a CS credit.

P9105107.jpg

I get a call from Chris and he is at AK. With nothing really on my list at DHS I prepare to walk out and catch a bus to AK.

They must be filming a commercial or something.

P9105108.jpg

In about 20 min total I am getting off the bus at AK.

After a few texts I find my boy here, doing one of his favorite things.

P9105115.jpg

Eating.

As we walk around we see this guy and his pearly whites. Just like he had a foreign tourist for lunch. ;)

IMG_9103.jpg

We make our way here since there is a short wait.

IMG_9107.jpg

Doesn’t he just look bored? :lmao:

IMG_9111.jpg

Then he is off ..

Where is he heading???

Did we get wet?

P9105122.jpg

P9105124.jpg

Oh yes.

We spent some time in the sun watching the monkeys.

IMG_9135.jpg

Then we went over to the tree of life to watch the lemurs.

Chris had been talking with the trainers who were also out on the trail.

P9105126.jpg

Earlier Chris went over to the otter area and the otter was swimming in circles. The trainers told him the otter was old and alone. He lost his mate not too long ago and they decided not to try to bring another otter in since this otter was older and probably not acclimate well and it would not be fair to the new otter either.
After some animal watching, we were still hot so we decided to head back and try the POR pool.

P9105127.jpg

We take the boat over and me not even thinking, I told Chris he did not need to take a shirt with him. We try to take the boat and the captain had to radio in to see if it was OK to take him. Oops  that was my fault. They let him on but lesson learned.

Tell me again why Chris went with you? :lmao::lmao::lmao: I'v'e never seen the back side of a kid more than your son; animals yes, kid--no!

I never knew you couldn't go on the boats without a shirt.

The pool at POR looks really nice.

He went with me to get an all expense paid trip to Disney world!!!:lmao:

My mother ( who can be a slow walker at times) used to complain that my dad would race ahead and always be way in front of her.

I am not a slow walker but his legs are longer than mine and he just races ahead, always has. As soon as he could walk he ran.

What is funny is when he has no clue as to where he is going. We have taught him that lesson a few times.

I had no idea about the shirt but it makes sense. I guess since the boat goes to DTD it matters.

The POR pool was nice. The last time I was over there I was lost and rushing for beneigts and overshot POFQ. :lmao:
