The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

No, ARD stands for "Allgemeiner Rundfunk Deutschlands" - which is the publicly funded German TV station, the oldest we have and considered to be the most serious one!! I don't know why Pat would want to watch German TV at Le Cellier though - I guess it must have to do something with her heritage... ;)

:rotfl2::rotfl2:
Two great updates. I am really sad that there aren't evening EMH hours at AK anymore. I think I might for the first time ever actually go to guest services at AK to complain about something - the disappearance of evening EMH!

I will miss them too. I agree that there were limited attractions open but it was fun to ride EE in the dark and watch the sunset.

I guess I will have to close AK in Dec to try and catch a sunset.

And the picture of the baby elephant reminded me that that they had a new baby born in August, I really hope we will get to see him in October!!

Yes that baby elephant was released into the savannah this week. I will be on the lookout. :cool1:

We love watching the gorillas!

You know he is saying, "Hey, Mildred! The crazy humans are back to stare at us some more."

I'm one of the crazy humans that loves to watch them. :goodvibes

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I  watching them too. I do get a little nervous when they are staring at me though.

Good shots. Love this show. Can't wait to see it again in about five weeks!

That's what I wanted my classroom jellyfish to look like. ::yes::

I have 18 days :cool1: I am sure your jellyfish look exactly like that ::yes::

Fun Disney trivia. :thumbsup2

We were lucky to be there that year. We went in June and boy it was record setting heat. Disney was even giving out FREE water.

More great pictures! Love the safari ones, and :woohoo: you got to spend so much time capturing Devine!

Thanks for the shout out, but I'm hoping it is the picture of the temple that reminds you of me and not the Yeti inside! Oh wait, that is probably the part that reminded you of Glenn! :rotfl2:

I had nowhere to be so I was able to take my time and got some nice shots. The animals were nice and showed me their front end instead of the rear end. Although I still have plenty of backside pics.

Of course you had to check out the tumble monkeys! And I agree that picture of the little boy on EE is :lmao: Every time somebody reposted it I cracked up! Looks similar to a Jenbear expression if you get her on something more exciting than TGMR! (j/k Jen.......Love you!)

FOLK is on the must do list. The boy cracks me up every time. :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Throw in some alcohol......:rolleyes1 Of course, I guess being there with DIS buddies can get a little carried away too! Oh, wait!..............

Oh yes alcohol makes it a bit unpredictable and suddenly getting up close and personal with the croc is a great idea.

I knew you could get British TV in Canada, but German???? :confused3

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I really must of had my annual review on my mind and well that's over and I have a bit more change in my paycheck so all is good.

I was having some trouble with my Mickey annual pass not working in the FP machines so as I made my way up to the front I stopped in GS and received a replacement.

IMG_9014.jpg

I decide to get over to AKL for lunch. I had a craving for zebra domes.
I get up to the bus stop and it is waiting for me. Well actually I find out it is waiting for a friend. The bus driver was loading Maroo and Liesa and LeeAnn were on board and heading to Sanaa.

IMG_9017.jpg

Well fancy bumping into you again. We talked while we made the short ride to AKL.

They got off at Kidani Village and I arrived at Jambo house.

IMG_9019.jpg

I made my way out to Mara

IMG_9022.jpg

IMG_9023.jpg

My meal

IMG_9024.jpg

I will share that this was the worst burger I have ever had at Disney, with maybe the exception of one I had at DHS once. However I made up for it with

IMG_9026.jpg

Which were good as always.
The lights in Mara

IMG_9028.jpg

I walked around a bit.

IMG_9038.jpg

IMG_9041.jpg

With lunch properly digested and no time to waste I hopped on a bus.

IMG_9043.jpg

IMG_9044.jpg

I walked into EPCOT at 2:04 and I saw this.

IMG_9045.jpg

Were my eyes deceiving me??? So went to check it out.

IMG_9046.jpg

Score – I love September.

I grab a FP and get in the stand by line. Soon I was being told to store my ears.

IMG_9050.jpg

As I exit I see that this only had a 5 min wait.

IMG_9052.jpg

What else has a short wait today???

You gotta love September. We have never had an overly long wait for anything with the exception of TSM and Space Mountain (and SM is because it was breaking down).

Hooray for another short DIS meet. :)

I need someone to mail me an AKL rocking chair and a box of zebra domes. :lmao:

Pat, thank you so much for the card you sent. I truly appreciate it.

Maroo with the wheelchair helped me more than once. I so enjoyed spending time with those 3 lovely ladies and each time I bumped into them was a treat.:goodvibes

When I was younger my Dad would have a conference in October so that is when we would usually go. Right around world series time. No Food and Wine and I felt like I had MK to myself. Good times.

Oh I wish I could do that for you but I know those zebra domes would arrive a soupy mess. :lmao:

Pat, thank you so much for the card you sent. I truly appreciate it.

Oh Jackie, I hope each day is getting just a tiny bit better. Hold her in your heart and she will always be close.:hug::goodvibes
It is times like these where I do wish we all lived in DisTown and we could all be there to comfort you in person. :goodvibes

Yeah, I am pretty sure they would lose their shape and arrive as zebra sludge.

Thank you. I wish we all lived in DIS town as well.

Dang, I wish we weren't tied to school schedules and could visit in September.

How cool to run into Liesa et. al. again.

Some day Glenn, some day. Hope you are not swimming around outside. Hopefully all the Glennbo's are high and dry.

I am off on a boat ride in a jiffy.
IMG_9062.jpg

IMG_9074.jpg

Looks like a behind the seeds tour?

IMG_9078.jpg

Time to Soar again.

IMG_9084.jpg

Another great flight. It was about 3:00 and I wanted to make sure I got a Visa rewards picture.

IMG_9087.jpg

Now this is where I learned I had to wait a while before the picture was able to be downloaded at the photo place. Whoops. Don’t have that long to wait so hopefully I can swing back.

Time to start the journey for dinner. Once again I start out early since I hate being late and Chris gives me endless grief after the Teppan Edo episode.
Yellow picks me up.

IMG_9090.jpg

However when I arrive at the TTC monorails are not moving. I wait in line and meet up with someone who lurks on the Dis. She saw my green Mickey Head and calls me out on being on the Dis. I think she was a lurker so I didn't even get her screen name. :headache:

Plan B

IMG_9091.jpg

P9094931.jpg

At least I am not there.

P9094932.jpg

P9094935.jpg

P9094936.jpg

Since I still have plenty of time before dinner I go into MK. I have been in AK, EPCOT, and now MK today. Even though the parties started NEXT week, this is out.

P9094940.jpg

I just miss this.

P9094941.jpg

Halloween decorations are up.

P9094941.jpg

I duck into the Emporium to look around. I believe I am still hunting that wallet down.

Not finding what I was hunting I walk back out at 4:30. Knowing the monorails were having issues I opt to give me plenty of time to make it to the Poly for dinner. Where was dinner? KONA a first for us.

I try the express since I figure the resort may be worse. I just miss monorail black but get on monorail Lime. There were no boats in the docks or even close to coming in so I did not even try to wait for a boat.

P9094949.jpg

I get to the TTC and the resort side is still having problems so I walk. I am texting with Chris to alert him of the problems so he does not get caught in the same mess.

Just after 5 I arrive.

P9094950.jpg

This was needed

P9094951.jpg

An Island Sunset. Yum O

I am sad to say I took no pictures of dinner. But I did get pictures of dessert.

Chris got this because of the cotton candy – the Kona kone.

P9094954.jpg

I got the Fondue

P9094953.jpg

I am pretty sure we both had steak – again. Chris had his without the teriyaki sauce and I had mine with the sauce.

Always trying to get a better Poly fountain picture

P9094955.jpg

P9094960.jpg

This Tiki makes me smile

P9094962.jpg

Do I actually make it back to get my free picture???

After dinner Chris and I part ways. I never did write down where he went but he was not heading to DHS or EPCOT. I had to get back through EPCOT to pick up my picture but Monorail service was not running.

Plan B Again. I walked out and caught a bus for DHS.

P9094965.jpg

Once I got to DHS – I got on a bus to EPCOT.

P9094966.jpg

Not the short way but it worked.

I was able to pick up the picture and catch the bus back to DHS. Well that was an hour and half of my life I will not get back. Shhhesh.

I was able to get my ride on RnR through the single rider line.

P9094981.jpg

I was able to score 2 rides.

P9094984.jpg

It was a F! night so it was crowded.

P9094985.jpg

P9094986.jpg

I still had this in my lanyard.

P9094990.jpg

No notes except that I did ride TSM with a FP and that made no sense to me until I saw the picture.

This was one of the FP I got from Maroo, Liesa and LeAnn on Tuesday.

P9094995.jpg

Sunset Blvd was sort of frightening.

P9094996.jpg

There was no way I was waiting in that line. I had a CS credit to use and since we ate dinner early I was able to squeeze a hot dog in. I probably was not really hungry but I could not let that CSs credit go to waste. :sad2:

Did you know RnR coaster arch changed colors just like the castle?

P9094999.jpg

P9095000.jpg

P9095001.jpg

P9095002.jpg

P9095004.jpg

I waited until the herd entered and then I went for it.
I was able to get an end seat.

P9095017.jpg

P9095019.jpg

P9095023.jpg

After the show, since I was on the end I was able to make a quick escape and be on a bus in 15min.

I was back at POFQ and in bed by 11pm.

Wow, 11 o'clock is an early night for you.

So, if you do the Visa photo thing you have to wait a while to get the picture? If you had stayed at Epcot, how long would it have taken to be ready?

We really loved our meal at Kona when we went there on our date night a couple of years ago. And that tiki is where Lauren and I took a couple of pictures with the coconuts that I bought for my dad and father-in-law.

Good job beating the crowd out of Fantasmic. That's kind of like the reverse of the TSM stampede, but just as important!

She is stopping those women and asking “ Are you lost?” I was told to get lost so I am trying to find her.

That made me laugh out loud! Love it!

 That is awesome! But...I fear for your arm.

P9074726.jpg

See that pink shirt.

I stop and watch.

I thought it would be funny if that person did the crane, then I know it was Brook.

Then she does. :lmao: I rush down the street, say hi and of course we had to have evidence...

P9074728.jpg

:rotfl2: I forgot about you spotting me from the other end and my crane ensuring you it was me! That's just hilarious! It was so great meeting you! I hope our paths cross again in the future.

I think I passed with this wait.

IMG_8509.jpg

I think that was the last time this ride was open...:rolleyes1

The challenge said to me was “you can ride 8 times before closing” Well, Let’s see. Look at the people I am riding with. Some of those pictures are priceless.

#2

IMG_8604.jpg

IMG_8608.jpg

#4 I am way in the back.

IMG_8609.jpg

IMG_8611.jpg

#6
IMG_8612.jpg

IMG_8613.jpg

#8 Look at the kid next to me. I bust out :rotfl2:ing every time I see it.
IMG_8615.jpg

:faint:

EIGHT! I am in awe. I think I could probably handle 3...but 8! :worship: And those are some HILARIOUS pictures! I love the one of you pointing at the empty seat! :rotfl2:

Score – I love September.

As do I. Loooooove those little tiny wait times!

And for you, from August:

IMG2098-L.jpg

Second to the end if your man, I believe.

IMG2122-L.jpg

That's the same guy, right?? He's making such a face, I can't fully tell! I tried really hard to get a shot of him, I wish I had a better zoom!

You probably prefer this one though:
IMG2125-L.jpg

:rotfl:

Pat, I get exhausted with all of the running from park to park you do AND on buses. :scared1:

We've never done Kona for any meal, but are doing breakfast in two weeks. How did you like the dinner? I can't wait to see the Poly again (looking for asundress while I am there).

Love the Visa photo of you with Mickey and Pluto. :thumbsup2
