Show Me the Cupcakes!!!

Yes! Both the cupcakes we got from Starring Rolls (two different trips) were cold. It didn't bother me on the marble one but on the chocolate PB one the inside was so thick and chewy that it really wasn't all that tasty. Maybe it would've been better if it came to room temp but I wanted to dig right in :rotfl:.

Well, I just gained 40 pounds looking at those piccies!!!! They all look fabulous...will have to give them a wing come August. I hope I lose my visual-40 by then!!!

Cupcakes are my drug of choice. I think I am going to use every single one of my snack credits on cupcakes. YUM.:yay:

Here is my donation....
The FANTASTIC cupcakes from the caramel shop in EPCOT!

I may end up using all of my snack credits on cupcakes :lmao: and I'm on the deluxe plan, so I get two a day! :rotfl2:

If you turn up the "road" that dead ends with TOT it is right there on the corner on the left - I think you have to go down a couple of steps, it's sort of sunken.

Gotcha! :thumbsup2

In the past we didn't normally go that way since ToT and RnRC weren't rides we normally do. But now that you mention "sunken" I know EXACTLY where you are talking about. (I think I was getting it confused with the Writer's Shop at first).

Did some one say this place closes early? We plan on going to DHS for 2 days during SWW and 1 evening for EMH.

Where is Starring Rolls in DHS? I cannot picture this place for the life of me!!!

Bingo you got it, its a little hidden away but once you see the steps and the outside seating you know you are in the right place :)

What is that cupcake, looks delish :teeth:

I'm a thumbsdown on the Butterfinger cupcake. The frosting on it is hard, just way to sweet, the cupcake part too dense and wet.

YUM!!!

We had the Dulce De Leche cupcake from the Contempo Cafe a couple of times- it's SO tasty!! :thumbsup2

Yup! Same here :rotfl: I am going to let it sit a bit for next time because I have my eyes on that Butterfinger cupcake!

This is actually pretty common. Almost all of my favorite cupcake bakeries keep them cold and are very upfront about the need to let them sit for about 30 minutes and come to room temp before you eat them.

That said, my girls and I split a red velvet cheesecake cupcake from Starring Rolls the other day, and in the time it took us to eat our croissants and yogurt first, it got to be just right. Still a little cold, which IMO is good for cheesecake!, but tender and moist inside.

I was going to try not to eat a lot of sweets on vacation, but these cupcakes are too tempting.
