I'm hoping my dr can get my pain under control before our trip. I've been having really bad back pain in my lower back. Its making it really difficult to do a whole lot of anything. Just getting out of bed is painful. They did an x-ray of my lower back and it appears I have narrow spacing between two of my discs in my lower back that are showing arthritic changes. Great, 26 and I have arthritis! She gave me a pain medication and a muscle relaxer to take to help control the pain. If they can't get the pain under control then they are making me go in for an MRI. I am really praying this doesn't ruin my Disney trip.

I've got the stomach flu right now and I feel horrible! I guess its good I get it out of my system by Disney, but I'm so weak right now. Blah! To try and make myself feel better I'm having a Disney movie marathon. Hopefully this is just a 24 stomach bug!

13 days to go---keeping the secret from the kids is KILLING ME! They are going to be soooo excited. Don't even give a rats behind about the new TSA mess.. just want to get through security and get to DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!

We put up some Christmas decorations yesterday, and the tree will go up Friday or Saturday. The plan for the surprise is to have a big wrapped package under the tree the morning we leave. It will be filled w/ mickey balloons and have a note from Santa attached for my oldest to read. I made some t-shirts that say "SURPRISE, We're going to DISNEY WORLD!" with each child's fav characters on them. I hope we have a great time

The luggage tags ARE holographic. But they are the same image. Here's the picture...

The one on the left is the one I got today (hologram) and the one on the right is from December of 2009.

We got our Micky Mail today AND we got the holographic tags!!!! We also got our ME tags, but only one set so I had to call and ask again for the extras. DS was so excited about seeing the package voucher booklet with the castle and balloons. I had to promise to buy him a real balloon when we get there just so he would leave the packet at home and not drag it to daycare.

Hmmm. I think I will call tomorrow and find out where my ME tags are. I just love checking in at the airport with those bright yellow tags and I am pretty sure EVERYONE there is envious because we are going to Disney.

Thanks for all the help with what to pack!! I am going to pack bathing suits for all....just in case. For those that wear capri's....do you wear flip flops too. I usually wear sneakers since I can walk longer in them. I don't know if I would last in flip flops.
I think I will pack a mix of clothes. It is hard to pack for 5 people and try to have as few bags as possible!!

bought a new shirt and my travel stuff today!!!! Got some great stuff at bath and body works!!! yipppeee!! I needed to treat myself!

packing this weekend!!!

1 double shift @ work 5 work days 1 turkey dinner 1 day of all day christmas movies 1 mani/pedi 2 flights!!!!

Alright, this may sound crazy but I need a stroller at Disney World even though I don't have a child small enough to ride around in one!!

I have arthritis in my neck and cannot carry purses or even backpacks for very long and my family does not want to be stuck carrying all our stuff so we have rescued the stroller from the barn that I never got around to selling! What a perfect way to haul around our sweaters and rain ponchos and snacks, etc!!

ANYWAY, we'll be there from the 2nd to the 13th and then I was wondering if anyone else would like to have it to use on their vacation? It is a nice stroller and I will make sure it is nice and clean when I leave! Please just let me know if anyone is interested... I took pictures and when I remember how to post them I'll put them on here if anybody is interested!

On the Budget Boards, I believe there are a number of "swaps" for things just like this - refrigerators, strollers, anything that can be useful to others that you don't want to schlep home.

You might have better luck if you post there.

We got our Mickey Mail yesterday. It was the first time my kids got really excited, I think it's finally real to them that we're going! I can't believe after five long years we're actually going back. I'm as excited as I was for our first trip!

i wear flip flops sometimes during they day, but they are really good flip flops, not just cheap ones- they have some support in them and are more sporty type flip flops. i do tend to wear tennis shoes mostly though. i am only bringing two pairs- the tennis shoes and the one pair of flip flops. trying to pack light! i got you on the packing- we used space bags and that has helped some too.

yeah for treating yourself. i just did a mani/pedi and brow wax on sunday (the stupid lady took too much brow- way too thin now!!! ugh!). i plan to get another pedi probably during lunch on that thursday before our trip too.

doesn't sound crazy at all. my mom always wants to push the stroller or grocery cart because she is legally blind and pushing that helps her walk and get around better without having to use her cane. using it for 'storage' works too!! whatever is going to make your trip more enjoyable, do it! i agree, check out the stroller swap threads and maybe you can find someone great to leave the stroller for?
