Hey, I'm only down by 54 points and I have Felix Jones and Jason Witten playing tonight. So there's a chanc...ah Peanut Butter - I got nuthin'. Congrats on the win.

And on a related note over in the Yahoo Pick'em league, my 6 year old daughter is on a roll. She has 7 correct picks so far this week, including nailing the Browns/Saints and Bills/Ravens games.

I'm getting killed too. And your daughter is beating me over the last 2 weeks, I think.

My wife and I usually pick football games against each other for fun and weekly prizes (winner gets to pick the movie at Blockbuster, or gets to sleep in on Saturday, etc.). This week, she switched to a new method based on team names. For example, a Titan would squash an Eagle, so she picked the Titans. A Redskin would shoot a bear with a bow and arrow, so she picked the Redskins, etc. She beat me by 2 games this weekend.

I did not know that. You learn something new everyday.

She figures a packer is used to cold weather and hard conditions and is therefore a fairly tough individual. However, she picked the Vikings because she figured the Packer is unarmed, and therefore at a disadvantage in a fight. I did get one game back on her there. Her system makes it difficult to pick teams like the Cardinals.

If I were the Bears, I'd trade for Deangelo Hall as a wide receiver. Cutler really developed a nice rapport with him.

I suppose being a Colt fan that I should be glad there is no team called the "Detroit Glue Factory". That would suck.

Weird having my team on the bye week. Makes for an odd weekend. But my completely dumb luck of putting Darren McFadden in for the first time this year paid off!

They are amazing. I only went to one UT game when I lived in Knoxville, and they were incredible.

So, I haven't posted for a while, and doubt I've been missed. A 7 week old will do that to you. Also, I've been researching Capote coats for the historical camping I do occasionally. But mostly, it's only 64 Days Till Disney World!

And, it's possible a friend will be able to tag along, making the ratio of kids to adults 1:1.5, instead of 1:1. But like dad says, you can wish in one hand and (peanut butter) in the other, and see which one fills up first...

Have I mentioned it's only 64 days till the fam checks in at POR? I may have, but wanted to say it again...
(the ticker says 63 days, b/c it's counting hours. so, it's 63 days, 20 hrs till check in. i'm rounding that up to 64)

Other than Football pick 'em and fantasy, has anything major happened to the thread? I was just happy to see there hasn't been a mad dash to be the last post yet!

Nice! I started Kyle Orton in another league, because the matchup vs. Oakland was a walk in the park for him.

I DONT PEANUT BUTTER BELIEVE THIS!!!! after everything my wife has gone through this year, losing her vision in her left eye. finding a tumor, radiation treatment,running to philly. this morning, i notice i have a white lump on the white part of my left eye! my eye dr. isnt in today, im going tuesday at 3:15. i did something i said i would never do again, look up medical things on the internet. it has felt like theres something in my eye every so often. a few weeks ago, i woke up and it felt like i had sand in my eyes.(our house is very dry) and im always sneezing this time of year so i didnt think anything about it. till today. hopefully and im praying it is, i think i have a pinguecula or a pterygium. my eye will get red on the botton half and it feels like i have something in my eye every so often. the feeling goes away for a few days and than it comes back. i dont drink but i may start!!! ill let you know how i make out tuesday afternnon.

I have no idea what those "p" words you used mean (and don't have time to look them up right now), but I hope you don't have anything serious going on there. I'll keep you in my prayers, hope the Doc has good news for you tomorrow.

thanks!! i didnt want to tell dw but i had to. she said "you got to be kidding me"? hopefully, from what im reading,if it is what i think it is, they can give me eye drops for it.if it gets bigger they can remove it.im just hoping for the best at this point. what are the odds of something like this. ill talk to you guys tomorrow.
