Hey all!

I finally purged my iPhone of more photos I took at the Poly last week. Enjoy!

but has anyone ever heard of anyone being upgraded to suite? You hear people post it about YC. Just curious. That would be the only way we would ever get to stay in a suite, so in other words we never will! I will always be extremely happy w/ my GV. Maybe one day I can convince myself that club level is worth. Like I said, just curious.

Ms StinkerBelle~ Great pics! Thanks for posting them! I guess you will always be a Poly girl at heart!! ;) :goodvibes
And I agree about the lilikoi juice :lovestruc

I was wondering if the pineapple bread can be found in any of the Poly restaurants? When we stayed last time in CL, this became a breakfast favorite of mine. Since we're staying GV this time, I was hoping I could still enjoy it.

were going to be at the poly the same time! with like 10 other people :rotfl:

What do the Poly refillable mugs look like this year?

in your ticker i saw that you stayed at the CR last year? well the mugs are the same excact thing , but i know they changed them halfway through the year so the mugs are the one that has red going all the way down with the characters on it. i think the colors are still yellow, black or red.

Thanks! We love Lilik'oi juice so much I've learned to make it at home for breakfast each morning. :goodvibes And yep, deep down I'll always be a Poly girl. That four-year old girl in me who saw the Poly for the first time while riding to the Magic Kingdom always wants to stay there. :cloud9:

I *think* it's still served at 'Ohana for breakfast. I didn't 'see' it on the breakfast menu at Kona because I was zooming in on the macadamia nut pancakes. :lmao: Anyone else know?

I've got the pictures up and captioned--finally! Photobucket was being a pain in the rump yesterday--seems better today.

Anyway--I hope to give you the scoop on our adventure, the menu changes in concierge, etc. this p.m. Until then, here's a link to my Disney 2010 album on Photobucket: Tess Disney Pics 2010 . :cool1:

If you click the link and get a "Bad Request" message--just refresh and it should pop up. As I said--Photobucket is acting way hinky.

When they stopped serving the pineapple bread in the concierge lounge, we were told it could be purchased at the bakery on the second floor of GCH. I'm not sure if it is available at Kona, but the bakery should have it. I love that stuff and miss it. :sad2:

ooh i'd love to know too....at least upgrades to big suites in the other CL building (not Hawaii, can't remember the name of the other) just curious...hey one can always dream right? :rotfl:

Tess, those pictures are great! Thanks for sharing! Will you be doing a trip report?

Tess, thanks for posting those great pics. We stayed at Poly last month and your pics are just as I remember the beautiful Poly and parks. Thanks again.

Have any of you done a pre-rope drop breakfast at Akershus in Norway? I have an 8:10 am ADR and was planning on being at the TTC at 7:30 am. But just read on a Poly TR that they drove to their Akershus breakfast because Poly CL told them the monorail does not start running until 1 hour before opening (which would be 8 am, and would be too late for us). Has anyone here gone from Poly to epcot before 8 am? we have a car, can can drive, but would rather take public transport. Otherwise, we won't be able to have adult beverages later that day and drive back.

I have taken a bus from AKL to Epcot for the breakfast at Akershus prior to RD. Unfortunately I cannot remember what time our meal was. I want to say it was an hour before opening. I wonder if you walk to the TTC if there would be a bus running from there.

Sara

Only a brief synopsis of our stay at the Polynesian. I used to do full blown trip reports, but I'm kind of over them now. Really, who cares about my family's antics in the parks, etc. I usually do try to give the good and bad (if any) about our stay in the resorts forum and more particularly, the Polynesian thread since its inception.

Glad you enjoyed the photos. I hope to do better in October since I will have more experience with this camera.

My pleasure and I have to agree--the Polynesian grounds looked lovely this year.

Mahalo, Tess :flower3:

(we need a smilie that can bestow a lei greeting! :goodvibes )

That would be a way cool smile for this thread.

Tess, just made it through the photos... they were great (focus issues and all, LOL!).

I know I have seen it on property, but am drawing a blank... where is the metal Mickey sculpture you do your "traditional photo" in? I am thinking its at a resort (Contemp maybe?) I'd love to snap a similar pic with my kids when we're down there. It's too cute!

Love to hear about the menu changes in concierge. We will be staying there in about 10 days, and haven't stayed concierge in a while so looking forward to hearing about the menu! :)

I'm thinking when we were there in Nov. 2009, Ohana served it for breakfast. I really liked it!
