DISmoms Round TWO! Don't Axe, Don't Tell!! 4/30-5/4/10 updates 9/17

Just be clear (and I'll type slowly so you don't miss it)....

THIS is the woman at the bottom of the stairs who said that I was the smartest DISmom-

2010_0504dismoms2010water0071.jpg

She is the woman I met because several DISmoms of varying degrees of overindulgence, largely due to chocolate milk and free-flowing airplane wine, INSISTED I speak with her to check in.

THIS-

ImportedPhotos00035.jpg

Is the woman inside the restaurant who I was headed to meet in the first place. She said nothing about me being the smartest. She did bow to me a whole bunch, though, probably recognizing my superior DISmom status. :snooty: Also notice that I was still finishing my Rita in this pic, the tequila fumes may have added to the confusion. And by the way....her socks are part of the traditional costume. DUH!!! Do I have to teach you girls EVERYTHING, Alan??? :rotfl:

So no...not busted AT ALL!

I'll be back later for more fun....:dance3:

What I want to know is this....What kind of socks is "Kaori" (aka the woman who said you were smart, er brilliant, whatever) wearing? Does SHE have toed socks on? Just wonderin'.....:rolleyes1

Awesome, Joan is here! I think that is a GREAT photo of you guys.

We also had "coldness" issues at BCVs the first night of our last visit. We ordered extra blankets for the rest of our stay and were very comfortable after the first night. I love BCV, it smells so great! I also love the smell at AKL Jambo - um, I must have something about smells.

I'm not so sure you'd still have the smell thing going for you if you stayed in OUR room!!!! :rolleyes1

Love the update!! Kara i'm ready for more from you!!;) I wanna make that trip one day. insert violins playing sad music for me. But alas, i have one coming up in a little over 30 days. yeah!!

Joan, i think you did a great job of an update.

Ellen, I love all the food porn that you took! I will have to break in my BFF about that soon. My family would just think that i have totally lost it if i start taking pics before they can eat.

Not to hijack but Mary Ellen, i so agree about pyscho patients. I cringe when i find out i have patients like that. Had a schizo and a wandering dementia one last weekend. Made for a rough time at work! Enough about work! MUST HAVE MORE!!!!!

I get in so much trouble for taking food porn pics. Ally always says, "wait, Mommy has to take pics for her dis buds" as though that's a bad thing? Darn kids!

Okay I have been following along for the last few days and WOW. It looks like you guys had a great time.

By the way. Pam and I live in the same town and I have to say I am soooo jealous. Looking back now I should have sneaked over to her house and hid in her luggage.

I am counting down the days to my July trip. Ugghhhh 10 months is too long between trips. You know it's funny some times I think I just don't get to Disney enough then I think about all the people who only get that once in a lifetime trip. I am such a whiner when it comes to WDW.

She probably could have fit you in this time - next time, she'll have so much mole skin packed that she might have a tough time fitting in enough underwear! Jus sayin......

:lmao: Kara, you absolutely crack me up!! Ellen, you are SOOO busted! The smartest DISmom?....as according to the lady in desperate need of individually-toed socks, circa 1974. That's hilarious!!! I was literally laughing out loud when I read this!! Kara, you rock!

So what you are telling us is that Bucky's "condition" entails him getting lucky? This limerick just keeps getting funnier!

What the limerick did NOT say, is that if the "condition" happens again, and he can't seem to, er, um, put it away himself, the vet suggested that I try to assist him. There is just nothing to rhyme with ANY of that!!! EWWWWW! You want to talk about a ITSK pic!!!!

Just be clear (and I'll type slowly so you don't miss it)....

Wait! That first pic, woman at the bottom of the stairs? She wasn't even a CM!!! She was a Japanese tourist!!!! No wonder she thought you were the smartest DISmom, didn't she ask you where the restrooms were????

Poor sweet Ellen, I'm glad you're so pretty! ;)

What I want to know is this....What kind of socks is "Kaori" (aka the woman who said you were smart, er brilliant, whatever) wearing? Does SHE have toed socks on? Just wonderin'.....:rolleyes1

Again, Japanese tourist..... that's my story and I"m sticking to it!

I'm with you on the Tonga Toast--it looks and sounds great, but my blood sugar would not do well with it! :rotfl: That Somoan would my choice, too!

I loved the Tonga Toast when I tried it the first time. Then Ellen convinced me to get the Macadamia pancakes. And I wanna be like Ellen when I grow up, so of course I did it. And I loved them!!! But the Samoan really surprised me! It was one of those good comfort foods, stick to the ribs kinda breakfasts. I think I might order that next time!

Joan - Great update for something like your 10th post! Very funny! It looks like you are having a great time in every picture Ellen has posted (and in every text message she sent me where you unknowingly giving a pictorial tour of Disney Day 1 to an internet stranger). You are smiling in every picture and I am dying cause I am at work and not scheduled to leave for two more days! :rotfl:

I love your list! Very funny! After that post I think you can consider yourself an official Dismom. You have earned that honor with distinction! :thumbsup2

Mary Ellen

She was an official DISmom the minute I met her!!!! :thumbsup2

sounds like buckey might need to read the warning that come on those little blue pills. Poor guy. I can only imagine how you guys were laughing at that.

Love the chocolate milk and the kool aid pictures. Tim will have to be the Designated Driver when we go to Epcot....darn staying off property. ( can you tell Im not too excited about it :( )

So what color pill should I find him to make it go away!!!!!!

Great updates.

Tokyo Dining looks like a great place to eat and if you are lucky enough to get the window an awesome view of Illuminations

I love sushi and those pics were making me crave

Kara I noticed the Hidden Mickey, cool pic

Kona Breakfast looks awesome and I love that you got a mimosa to go with breakfast, fabulous idea :goodvibes

And here I thought Ellen intentionally posed Joan that way for the pic, but no, it was just my overimagination at work. Oh so my therapist says. Did not. Did too!

Loving the new TR and loving Kara's new hair!!:thumbsup2 This TR is keeping me sane until my husband and I sneak off to the world to enjoy some adult time sans kids. We even talk about it in code around them..."When Mommy and Daddy go to Jumanji...".:rotfl2:. I'm not sure where we got Jumanji from, but they have no idea what it is..so it works.

That may be the last time you see my hair that short, but thank you!!! Getting it cut every three weeks to keep it looking "hip" just isn't cutting it, so I think I'm heading down the chin length bob road now.......

Jumanji! :rotfl2: Great movie!

As always, y'all know how to party ladies! I LOVES me some jalapeno margaritas!:thumbsup2

Don't think I didn't notice the PLURAL margaritas, and I don't think that was by accident!

YUM! Those Kona pics...the food looks fantastic! I swear one day I am going to get that Tonga Toast...but then those pancakes look soooooooo good too! We have not stayed at the Poly yet either (one of the downfalls of living so close that we don't often get the whole WDW vacation "experience") but it is so beautiful...it is really at the top of my list! :thumbsup2

Same problem here living so close. We usually only do one or maybe 2 nights lately. But the GOOD thing about doing short trips, we've stayed at resorts that we couldn't afford to stay at for a whole week!!!!:thumbsup2

Hi everyone-
It’s me, Joan, or wannabeadismom….I really need a new name too as I feel that I am truly now a DISMom….and it’s a great thing to be!!! I can’t believe this TR is already nine pages long. No wonder Ellen gave me a stern, “you REALLY need to post on the TR!” today. Sorry about that, Mom! :guilty:
Without going back over everything covered (and we DID do a LOT in the first 24 hours), I only want to say--
1.I absolutely LOVE this picture….It truly portrays the DISMoms2 trip best!
This had to be the most amazing trip of my life. Doing the World with the DisMoms is truly the way to go. Who would believe that I didn’t know four of the women until our arrival!?! I feel like we’ve all been friends forever. Disney has a way of doing that for people.:grouphug:

http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg113/podsnel/DISmoms 2010/2010_0504dismoms20100065.jpg

2.I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much in my life….my sides STILL hurt!
3.Who is that fat chick eating the cheese soup and pretzels? That can’t be me! (But it was delish!
4.Skechers tone-ups are life (or feet) savers!
5.Love, love, LOVE absolutely everything about the Ditch.
6.Chocolate milk? Whatever you say, Kara!
7.All the Axe Murderer talk….totally true!
8.It was COLD in the LR but, hey, I was in WDW and I’m a tough old Iowa farm girl at heart. I can take it!
9.BTW, every day was a , “Sunshiny Day!” Ooops, it’s now in MY head!
10.The Samoan at Kona Café….to die for. The perfect breakfast food, especially for me, who really doesn’t like pancakes and the like for breakfast. Lots of delicious smoky, pulled pork…YUM! BTW, birthday shots and sake flight not a good mix, however this breakfast made everything all better!
11. OMG, Kara, that poor woman at TD with those socks. They look painful….
12.Finally, I LOVE being part of a hidden Mickey. It makes me feel SPECIAL!.:goodvibes
Ok, that’s it from me for now. Back to the REAL storytellers……:worship:……

JOAN! Imagine me sitting on a barstool (cause you really did see that a couple times) in a bar in Boston - okay so maybe it's Cammie you see..... and I'm the mailman sitting on the bar when you walk in. The bartender is a sort of nerdy guy, but the owner is there too and he's a retired baseball player. Hey, this would make a great TV show!!!!

And great use of all the smilies!!! But i need to delete some now so this post will go through.....

i'm in the mood for some japanese food now after reading about tokyo dining!

sounds like you ladies know how to have some fun!

See, after responding to all the Bucky comments, I read "Im in the mood for" and I started singing the ending..... ".....love" - I need help......

Just be clear (and I'll type slowly so you don't miss it)....

I am howling laughing!! :rotfl2: Can't even imagine how much fun you all were having together. Thanks for the lesson, Ellen, and yes we all bow to your superior DISness. :worship:

When i went with my kids (in November) I made Tyler get the Tonga Toast, just so I could try it. I guess I have a habit of doing that- :rotfl: Anyway, it is REALLY REALLY REALLY sweet!!

As always, y'all know how to party ladies! I LOVES me some jalapeno margaritas!:thumbsup2

Well, girlfriend, you know I toasted you every time I drank one!! Best Rita in the Ditch!!:cheer2:

Kona Breakfast looks awesome and I love that you got a mimosa to go with breakfast, fabulous idea :goodvibes

A mimosa is always Loni's breakfast drink of choice....which sounds like she's a big drinker, but really, she's not! She just loves her some fine champagne for brekkie!! :woohoo:

sounds like buckey might need to read the warning that come on those little blue pills. Poor guy. I can only imagine how you guys were laughing at that.

Yes, Kara....what about Bucky and little blue pills????? Just know this, if Kara ever starts telling us the tale of the "morning after with Bucky"....I am OUTTA THERE!! :rotfl2:

Yes, Kara....what about Bucky and little blue pills????? Just know this, if Kara ever starts telling us the tale of the "morning after with Bucky"....I am OUTTA THERE!! :rotfl2:

There once was a dog named Bucky
He thought he was gonna get lucky
Til one day it got stuck
The vet said "Kara you're out of luck
Cause to make it go down ain't real ducky"

Seriously, IT GOT STUCK and he couldn't walk!!! My poor baby!!!! So the vet (after laughing at me and saying he usually gets these kinds of calls on Saturday nights after a lot of drinking) told me if it ever happens again I might have to .... well, let's just say that he told me I might have to..... well, assist him in putting it away.

Needless to say, after several drinks around the world, the story was much funnier. And I can assure you that I will NOT be helping in any way! I will be taking him to the vet for professional assistance!!!

OMG I am finally caught up!!! Kara and Ellen you rock !!! I believe Ellen was told she was the smartest Dis MOM ..But Kara is still the "Sexie one" as in ITSK!!:rotfl2:

Loved all the food porn pix and of course you ladies drinking your chocolate milk !!!:lmao: Keep the laughs coming ladies !!!!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

All I can say is.....POOR BUCKY! :scared:

Hurrah! The DIS Moms ride again!! How terrific you got to go on another adventure. I am enjoying reading all about it. :)

I had no idea you could order take out cheese soup and pretzel bread at Le Cellier! And I call myself a DISer! :scared1: Is there a number to call or you just order at the podium?

Loving all that chocolate milk you were drinking. But I have to agree that the jalapeno margarita has won me over. Ahhh.. the Ditch... would love to be there now!!!

Thanks for the review of the Mandara spa...definitely on my list for next time!

Can't wait for more! popcorn::

Hey DisMoms - haven't been on for a while and just got caught up on your report tonight. Love, Love, Love it! You are all so fun. :cool1:

Poor Bucky! (Or better yet, Poor Kara!) :lmao:

Looks like you are all having a blast and can't wait for more. :thumbsup2

Single Riders song still stuck in my head now too.. (PS Nikki's is soo much better I agree)

So Kara got a "Shirley Temple" :rolleyes1 lol

all the Sushi looked Yummy

I dont know how all you ladies could talk after all those drinks LOL :rotfl2:

Drea, somehow I think your drink would be a "Squirrely Temple!" :rotfl:

you moms are so funny! :lmao::lmao::lmao: I'm almost speechless.

Ellen, I think those poor little Japanese ladies were a little intimidated by your expert DISmomness. :thumbsup2 That's why they sent you up and down the stairs - or maybe they wanted Kara to walk off her rounds of chocolate milk! :goodvibes Cpngrats on your 25th coming up. Are you going to Hawaii? We ditched our Hawaii cruise for our 30th, cuz I earned the Jamaica cruise with Arbonne this year, same month.

Kara, I think your vet is just strange. :rotfl2: poor Bucky.

Joan, it's fun to see your thoughts here. You are definately and official DISmom!

I love the pressed coffee at Kona! I do love sweets for breakfast, but the Tonga toast was too much for me. I think I will have to try the Macadamia pancakes next time!
The pics of the Poly are great, looks heavenly!

I hate the way the A/C turns off at night - so nice to have your guests wake up all sweaty and having trouble going back to sleep at night - I don't know how they think that could be okay:confused3 We tried tying a balloon to a chair last time, but it was only semi-successful. I forgot to bring the override instructions with me. Looking forward to your next adventure!

HEY! There are worse songs that could be stuck in your head...last week I had an entire day of the Brady Bunch singing "Sunshine Day" in my head thanks to a friend on FB...oops...oh, CRAP!:rotfl:
way to pass on the ..."sunshine" darn it now i have all the single riders and the brady bunch song stuck in my head :cool1:

How we could talk after all those drinks? This from the kahlua-it's what's for breakfast Mom??? PUH-LEEZ!!! :rotfl2:
WHAT??? some people have Wheaties... others Kahlua... its MY breakfast of champions LOL

Lonnie had a mimosa, and a few of us tried the Lilikoi juice, which was a passion fruit, orange and guava blend-
Knew I liked Lonnie! :thumbsup2. Ohhh and the Lilikoi sound great with a spash of Vodka (note to self next time take a flask!)

We all liked that juice- it was yummy, but it was also kind of heavy. I had been talking about how AWESOME the Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes were on my last visit, and how I would NEVER come to WDW again without them! So most of us were ordering those-
Those are my favorite!!!!!!!!! Ive still never had Tonga Toast either .. someday LOL

Man, that resort makes me REALLY want to go back to Hawaii!!! Good thing my 25th anniversary is coming up soon! :thumbsup2 :rolleyes1
NICE!!!!! call me jealouse!
[/COLOR]

Drea, somehow I think your drink would be a "Squirrely Temple!" :rotfl:
me...? squirrely... never .. pish tash LOL:rotfl: ohh but now i do have a craving for vodka infused cherries... or vise versa depending on the day LOL

Thanks everyone for your welcomes and declarations of official "DISMomdom"....I'm honored...seriously! :)

Now where are we on this TR anyway? Ellen? Kara? Cammie? Anyone? :confused3 I'm a bit bleary-eyed after surviving my daughter's birthday party yesterday with eighteen 13 year old boys and girls and nine of those girls sleeping over. My goodness, don't kids ever sleep these days?!?!?! Sounding a bit like MY parents even to my ears.....I was about to comment on their music! :rotfl2:

OOOOH, yucky Bucky. Down boy!! :lmao:

Kara, you just THINK Bucky loved you before!! To quote cousin Eddie from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation: "He's got a little bit of Mississippi Mudhound in him, so you don't want him around if you're wearing short pants, if you know what I mean. But a word of advice: if he does let into you, it's best to just let him finish." :rotfl2:
