Now Bring Me That Horizon ~ It Begins P115

HEY, TK--hope you are starting to feel a bit better. We've all had something around the house. Well, everyone, except Boo, who is a little explosion in and of herself.

Love the Ziploc idea. Ziploc bags are truly our friends. . .and great ones at that. ;)

Seems like the annual pass makes sense for you. Maybe you can help me with the Disney math :lmao:We're getting 8 day hoppers in August and 5 day hoppers in December. I'm wondering if I should just upgrade the passes in August :confused3

How exciting that your DS will be starting kindergarten next year. My older nephew just started kindergarten and he loves it. Have you looked at your school district's calendar to see when he will have holidays/vacations? In NYC, it's usually published in the spring for the following year. It'll definitely help you plan vacations. A

I'm feeling really good! I only have one week left before I go back to work. :headache: I was really hoping to win the lottery while I was out.

If he was...I think my resort choice wouldn't be so hard to make...EVERY SINGLE TIME LOL!!!!

Ditto! :thumbsup2

A Capt Jack CBR greeter would suddenly make the CBR much much more appealing!!

So, so true.

I hope you're feeling better. I have been dealing with 2 with flu this week so I know what you're dealing with. Hopefully your's is just allergies!

I'm taking my Allegra even if I don't feel like I need it. I do not want to be sick in Disney!

WooHoo to single digit dance!!!:cool1: I'm in the 20s and I'm so excited I can barely stand myself so I can't imagine how I'll be with single digits.

It's crazy. :lmao:

I've been hatching up a way that you can help me with my big surprise reveal to my BFF through shirts. Will you be able to make some more before December do you think??

I'd love to make you some shirts. And yes, I definitely have time.:goodvibes

Just not in the next two weeks. ;)

HEY, TK--hope you are starting to feel a bit better. We've all had something around the house. Well, everyone, except Boo, who is a little explosion in and of herself.

Thanks! I hope your household gets better soon!

Love the Ziploc idea. Ziploc bags are truly our friends. . .and great ones at that. ;)

You know, I normally by store brand, but when I go to Disney, it's the real Ziploc all the way! :lmao:

I could run numbers for you, but I'm almost positive you'd do better with annual passes. :thumbsup2

Right now they have the 09/10 calendar, but not the following school year. I'm going to keep watching for it though, because that will definitely help. :thumbsup2

Would you go in the summer before your DS starts school? August is value season. Unless your school district starts school in August, then that wouldn't work.

BTW, love your ziploc idea. That makes life so easy.

Hope you are feeling better soon! I often think that a good stomach bug would get me started on the diet that I never can seem to get started on!:rotfl: I've got the start of a cold myself, but I can ignore a cold. But you need to be able to eat and drink (especailly drink) in Disney, so take good care of yourself!!! :goodvibes

I'm hoping to cure my digestive issues of late with a good old Casey's hot dog and one, if not several Dole Whips. Surely, their restorative properites cannot be denied.

I also had an idea, and I wanted to share it with you guys. I usually get a little stressed on the first day in Disney because I'm dying to head to a park, but conversely, I'm dying to unpack and get organized, and it's always hard for me to transfer everything I need to my park bag because it's all over the place.

Well, it's only taken me 25+ visits to the World to finally think, hey, TK, what if you took what you needed to go to the park and put in a Ziploc and labelled it, so that if you really wanted to just drop bags at Pop and head out, you just have one baggie to deal with instead of rifling through luggage? Seriously, do I have some good thoughts every now and then, or what? :lmao:

Say it with me: "Ziploc bags are my friend!"
:rotfl:

Srsly, hon, I have turned the non-food use of Ziploc bags into an art form. GO FOR IT!!

Also, he loves cards! I recently taught him how to play War and Go Fish, and he really, really likes it, and I am just loving that my little boy is the age where I can play cards with him.

Watch out or the next thing you know he'll be taking on Auntie Tink in a heated game of War!....:rotfl2:

And sadly, photobucket is giving me a really hard time, so I only have one picture and quote this evening.

It is, however...QUITE lovely.

jack14-2.jpg

"Welcome to the Caribbean, love."

If you were only going to have one pic and one quote......

THIS IS IT!!!!!:thumbsup2

I love that line. I love how he says that line....:lovestruc

But UGGGHHH!!....I am SOOO wanting to go to the World now!!!

.

Would you go in the summer before your DS starts school? August is value season. Unless your school district starts school in August, then that wouldn't work.

Actually, since DS is in preschool, I wouldn't even need to go in August. I can easily pull him out of preschool (given that we're paying for it, it's a non-issue and not as frowned upon), so I've actually thought about going in May. I really love Flower and Garden Festival and I enjoyed going in May with Tink. :goodvibes

BTW, love your ziploc idea. That makes life so easy.

And quite frankly, the less I have to think, the better off I'll be. :lmao:

It reminds me of the Devil Wears Prada. "I'm one good stomach flu away from my goal weight." :lmao:

Don't laugh, but I actually have lost weight from being sick. A couple of pairs of shorts that I thought wouldn't work...well, they fit now. :lmao: So much for having to do laundry on vacation! :thumbsup2

Say it with me: "Ziploc bags are my friend!"

Oh, I hear you. :goodvibes

I talked to her on the phone last night and totally forgot to mention this. :lmao:

I love the way he says practically everything, but that line GETS me. :lmao: So I understand how you feel.

But don't worry! There's more to come! :goodvibes

What a great time of year to go! You can be there for Mother's Day :)

How do the schools in your area handle children being pulled out for vacation? My school is very laid back with that. So many families pull their kids out anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks. One of my students missed the two weeks before February break to go to South Africa to visit her family. We used our iBooks and SmartBoard and Skype to talk to her about her travels. She kept a travel journal to share with the class. I'd find out the attendance policy for your school district.

I'm a terrible teacher for encouraging you to pull your child out of school in the name of Disney :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That would be nice. :goodvibes

Honestly, I don't know. Because I have to tell you, it is going to kill me to not go to a MNSSHP. I LOVE those sooooo much. Maybe a small weekend. :rolleyes1

That is so neat about your student going to South Africa! Isn't it amazing all the technology you can use to keep in touch? That's really great that you work at a school that's so laid back.

I'm a terrible teacher for encouraging you to pull your child out of school in the name of Disney :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:lmao: I wouldn't call you terrible! My belief is that it really depends on the student/child. If I feel that DS will be able to handle missing school, then we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. My parents did it with me all the time, but things are so different now.

I mean, they have homework in kindergarten. That just blows my mind.

"Do tell, dearie."

Alrighty! I've gotten the packing lists updated and I've already started pulling my clothes and items that I plan on packing. I wanted to start DS' but I'm going to wait until after his nap.

My husband will be getting the luggage from our storage unit today, so once that's done it's just a matter of putting things together and seeing how it all works.

I have a pretty short shopping list for Walmart, and I'm debating heading out and doing that after DH gets home. Or maybe this afternoon with DS, not sure. At any rate, progress is being made!

And as I was laying out my bazillion tank tops on my bed, I realized something.

I have too many. :lmao: I can easily pack for this trip and not need to do laundry. And due to my recent illness, some of the shorts that weren't working...fit again. I think if I stick to healthy eating habits (once I can manage to eat and not feel nauseous anymore) this week, then I might even be at a weight I'm happy with for this trip.

And that makes me so excited! Because I actually lost about five pounds on our trip last year. All that walking, and even though we had free dining, I ate sensibly, never stuffed, just pleasantly full. I attribute some of that to the elimination of the appetizer being included with dinner. I'm much happier with dinner and dessert, but that's me. :goodvibes

Normally, my standard vacation outfit is a black tank and whatever jean shorts I happen to grab. You know what's so funny? Ever since this tie dye thing has taken hold of me, I have a TON of colorful tanks. Can you believe I am only bringing two black ones?

I know!!!

How will you even recognize me? :lmao: I know, I know, by the tie dye, of course. I never did have time to make a LGMH.

Ah well. Some things must be let go for the sake of progress.

It feels good to finally start getting things done. :thumbsup2

Ok....what is a LGMH?

First of all

 that short's are fitting!

but sad that you are still

Skip the laundry, tanks don't take up much room! Or, well, it's your birthday, wash if you must!

WOOT!! I'm so glad you are making progress! Now that I have Phillip packed and on his way to class I can now start focusing on packing and getting things done!! Good luck and I hope you cross off a ton of things on your list!!!

Hmmm...more Jack Sparrow....he is a handsome fellow is he not!!

Oh...

He is SO hot!

I thought of him during our sermon today.

That should give you all pause. :scared1:

Our pastor asked us to think of someone we would like to show more love toward...and then he qualified that with..."not your boyfriend, or girlfriend, or Brad Pitt or anyone else besides your spouse..." And I thought...Ah...Jack. And then my thinking quickly shifted to more spiritual matters. :rotfl:

How is that for transparency!

I love that you have Tie Dye tank tops! And I am glad your shorts fit...but it is no fun to lose weight when you are sick.

LGMH = Lime Green Mickey Head. The "color" for the DIS is lime green. I am not sure who made that up...but many DISers wear lime green and some even put LGMH's on their purses so that we "recognize" each other.

You can get LGMH at Home Depot - they sell Disney paint and they have a lime green color (Alien Green, I think) on a card in the shape of a Mickey Head...so you can get it...cut out the Mickey Head. Write your user name on it. Laminate it. and put it on your purse or backpack, etc.

I met several DISers on my Feb trip this way. I didn't do it this time because I was with a "non" DISer and non-Disney person.

But anyway...that is what a LGMH is. :)

And I bet Kat could make shirts with Lime Green in the center and do a Mickey Head.....

And I want one!!! :rotfl:

I can always count on your ptr for a daily dose of hotness :cloud9:

I'm impressed with people that make packing lists.

Hope you're enjoying your Sunday, packing for Disney :yay:

I bet Kat could too!

Woo hoo for progress being made!!! I have not been so progressive here. I must, must, must start getting my act together as soon as I finish this book I am reading. :rolleyes1

I plan on recognizing you by your tie-dyed shirt and your cute Alice Cullen-like hairstyle! :thumbsup2

Ok....what is a LGMH?

I see Maroo has beat me to the punch!

First of all

 that short's are fitting!

but sad that you are still

I'm feeling MUCH better today. Last night I ate scrambled eggs and they didn't make my stomach turn into a million knots! :thumbsup2

Skip the laundry, tanks don't take up much room! Or, well, it's your birthday, wash if you must!

This will be part of today's post.

Yay for your progress! May it be swift and easy!

Devestatingly so.

I could most likely, make those. :rotfl2:

I can always count on your ptr for a daily dose of hotness :cloud9:

Indeed!

I'm impressed with people that make packing lists.

This is going to sound insulting. Don't take it that way. How can you not make one???? I would go nuts without my little list to check things off of.

You know, my Nana says for a creative, artsy type, I have such a Type A personality. Ah, the glory that is TK. In all my Libran splendor. Balance. It's all about balance.

Hope you're enjoying your Sunday, packing for Disney :yay:

Boy, did I ever!

I bet Kat could too!

Aw. You have such faith in me. I feel like the candy man. ;)

Woo hoo for progress being made!!! I have not been so progressive here. I must, must, must start getting my act together as soon as I finish this book I am reading. :rolleyes1

I feel compelled to start talking about auto insurance. :lmao:

Which book are you reading now?

I plan on recognizing you by your tie-dyed shirt and your cute Alice Cullen-like hairstyle! :thumbsup2

I only hope that by the time of day I meet you that my hairstyle will still be cute and not in fact completely dessimated by the humidity that is such a treasure on Disney vacations. :lmao:

Did you see that I am now giving away your shirts as prizes on my pre-trippie??

:lmao:

I crack myself up!

I guess you get some more orders the more I keep losing these "bets".... :)

Wow, thanks! I'm just getting caught up on my subscriptions this morning. :thumbsup2
