I started a list of things I wish Disney would do at WDW:

Overall
- Add a 5th park

EPCOT
- Use the Odyssey restaurant for something
- Redo Imaginations entire pavilion attractions.
- Redo the entire Energy ride
- Add a new country
- Bring back the flamingos that were between Odyssey and Mexico.
- Put an attraction in Wonders of Life

Please feel free to add to this thread with your ideas.

Remove a lot of the Disney themed rides and return them to their original glory (i.e. Living Seas, etc).

Return Jeremy Irons' narration of Spaceship Earth.

Return the Studios park to more of a Studios park like it used to be in the 90s.

Bring back the original Journey Into Imagination. Maybe update the animatronics but according to extremely reliable sources all the track and the turntables are still there; only covered by a raised floor.

Or at least bring back the walk-around Dreamfinder with Figment.

Oh the things that could be done

Overall

A 5th park might be nice, but not the elite park the rumours talk about. Not a must though unless there's a truly exceptional idea behind it. A focus on expansion of the existing parks would fill the same void and still sell more passes as people took more time in the existing parks.

Expansion of the Monorail lines would be cool as well although not likely.

Magic Kingdom

The expansion/redo of Fantasyland is a great idea in general. The Seven Dwarves mine coaster would be a great addition. Replacing the Ariel meet and greet with a Little Mermaid dark ride is an equally good idea. Convert Snow White into either a Beauty and the Beast or Fairies dark ride. Poohs Playful Spot could be converted into an enchanted neverland forest accomatading meet and greet for Fairies with a small enchanted lagood area for the previous Ariel meet and greet. Give Tom Sawyer island a buff and shine to more accomadate the playground need.

Tommorrowland could also use a new attraction to fill the spaces left open by the demolishing of the Galaxy theatre and the slow decline of Stitch`s Supersonic celebration. Perhaps somethign themed around Wall-E. And the speedway needs a revamp, I don`t care if they decide to make it cars themed or not but at least replace the vehicles with electric carts.

Epcot

The re-do of the imagination pavillion is a must. It doesn`t have to be the original but somethign in the same spirit woudl be fine. Bring back the pairing of Dreamfinder and Figment and will the pavillion with colour and wonder again instead of blackness with an occasional senses event. Ensure that the activities in the play area actually work (No one I know has ever been able to get any of the morphing photos to work for them). Update Honey I Shrunk the Audience into something a little more timely.

Ellen`s Energy Adventure could also use an overhaul. Once agian the ride is feeling dated (those same dinosaurs have been around since the park opened it seems) and a new take on this important message is sorely needed. Perhaps somethign a little more interactive could be put here.

Wonders of Life needs to re-open as well and fill that gaping hole. Cranium Command was an excellent attraction that coudl be easily updated. Body Wars was fun enough for it`s time but somethign new woudl need to go there. A large part of the rest of the area should probobly go toward nutritional education in this day and age where obesity is becoming more of a factor in young lives.

World Showcase could use a new country (My favorite candidates are Russia, Greece, Spain and Austrailia) with a new attraction as well. Also no fewer than two attractions should be added ot the existing countries (my favorite runours were the Canadian log flume ride, the German or Japanese Matterhorn and the boat ride through Venice for Italy).

Hollywood Studios

Continue the rumoured expansion of Pixar Place with the Monsters Inc coaster, the re-theming of the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground, the new Cars attraction from DCA (If it`s any good) and hopefully more great ideas.

Continue the update of Star Tours.

Add the Indiana Jones ride from California.

Find another viable teen/adult movie franchise that can be expanded on in this park. This may require shelling out bucks for rights (and hence will probobly never happen) but would be the best bet for Disney to at least somewhat combat Harry Potter at Universal.

Move the hat from in front of the Chinese theater. It`s a nice hat and I have no problems with it I just think it`s misplaced.

Animal Kingdom

Actually the attractions that Animal kingdom has are all very good. The key here is major expansion. I`d love to see some form of Beastly Kingdomme come to life. Perhaps even re-name the land Mythic Kingdom so as to not only include things like dragons but you could also throw in some Disney properties so far not represented like Hercules. This plus a few new attractions in areas like Africa, Asia or even Camp Minnie-Mickey would quickly turn this from a half day park to a two day park.

Downtown

The shops and restaurants are fine, Disneyquest might need a facelift. Also they need to bring back some nightlife to this area. Even re-opening the Adventurers club and creating one or two new clubs would do the job, seperate covers for the clubs instead of admission to the area would be fine.

Resorts

Finish Pop Cen

Start creating a few new resorts (when things start turnign around) that are not outsourced. The fact that so many people can spend days in disney just hotel hopping and checking out the different resorts is a definate money maker for them. It gives people a relaxing day with somethign interesting to do without going off property so spend their meal money elsewhere.

Magic Kingdom

1. Ditch the no alcohol policy, one can only stand kids running around so long without a drink or to (its a joke people, well...maybe).

2. Add more to Tomorrowland.

3. Eliminate the whole race track, it just doesn't fit IMO, I don't know what could be done to make it better, but it just I don't know, feels thrown in.

4. Introduce a true quality restaurant, inside the park (the ones there are not that good). Maybe using the "Noodle Station" space.

EPCOT

1. Add a new country, my first thought is India. It is part of our daily lives in many ways, and yet most do not realize how much culture sits within its boundaries. Between the numerous languages, religions, the changing city-scape, etc. I think it could be VERY exciting.

2. Reopen and modify Wonders of Life. I don't think I ever was in it when it was open, but seeing the building there is disappointing. Health has taken the backseat and not just physical health, but mental and emotional. I think a lot of stuff could be done here, and honestly, of any industry that has money to invest in sponsorships right now, it would be medical and healthcare.

3. Revamp Ellen's Energy Adventure, even just new films would be great. We've come a long way in energy and technology since the film was created (just look at Ellen's phone).

4. Rebrand Test Track, sorry GM (and Chrysler would be even worst) are not a good representation of quality and just tarnishes any image Disney is trying to maintain.

Hollywood Studios
1. Get rid of the hat, it has never looked right, it sells the same merchandise as everywhere else.

2. Update the Great Movie Ride, there are some movies that would be a great fit.

3. Star Tours, it has been dying a slow death without modernization. Love the concept, but come one, invest some money in it.

4. Indiana Jones needs to be revamped, the story is old (although it has been brought to younger generations attention with Crystal Skull). Even keeping the story element would be fine if it was just revamped.

6. Get rid of the dead-end at Tower of Terror/Rock and Roll Roller Coaster.

7. Replace Fantasmic with a better, more cohesive show.

Animal Kingdom
1. Expand the Conservation Station more, love the whole train ride, etc, but it could be a whole lot more.

2. Do something with the two themes between Dino-Land USA and Dino-Institute, they need one theme for the Dinosaur section, not two.

3. Africa could use a thrill type ride like Expedition Everest.

Downtown Disney
1. Integrate the whole Downtown Experience more. On my last trip, Pleasure Island and West Side were a basic ghost town compared to Marketplace. There is so much potential, including a few well themed bars/clubs, not a whole district dedicated, but spread out across the areas.

2. Make a decision on Disney Quest. Either keep it open and revamp it or close it.

3. Put in a IMAX theatre for movies!

4. Put in a "niche" theatre that offers smaller theatres, but have a full service restaurant attached with drinks (adult) available.

Other
1. Don't bother putting in another park, fix what you have before you build more. If they do put in another park, Adult Only, Premium Price, but it would have to be AMAZINGLY done, dwarfing what they have in terms of options at the other parks.

2. Bring back true dining experiences, the standardization works great for profits, but sucks for quality and adventure.

3. Actually deliver on "luxury" accomodations. There is more to luxury then just themeing, it goes deeper, from Valet, Concierge, Check-in, Housekeeping, etc...the standards are not much better then a general run of the mill Hilton right now and their price (even when factoring in the convenience) is not there.

I have only been a WDW enthusiast since 2004, so I can't say much about the former state of the parks.

Therefore, I offer this:

Reopen mannequins, 8-trax, and AC(maybe even CW) Guests need something to do on property at night and so do the cast members!

At the resort level:

That eyesore next to Wilderness Campground that used to be River Country or whatever, put up more cabins, restaurants, playground, pool, whatever- just get it out of there already.
There looks to be more room opposite Wilderness Lodge (the other side of Contemp) to have another deluxe resort.

MK:

I'm all for meet and greet "areas" but do they need to be so big? That one for Pooh. Really? Or expand the Tom Sawyer area with meet and greet areas there. (sorry don't have kids, but I really don't think there needs to be 1000 different areas. I did take my niece to WDW and I thought needing a map to find all the characters was CRAZY).
I think they can squeeze in a ride between BTMRR and HM. There's nothing back there except the sad Indian tepee thing that could use updating.
For the love of all things holy, update Jungle Cruise!
Something needs to done in that looooong stretch from HM to Splash Mountain. I wouldn't mind seeing street performers or something along the way.
Stitch's needs to go.
The motor cars needs updating.
In my dreamworld, TTA would encompass the whole park, but that wouldn't be fitting the Tomorrowland theme. Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow. Your party from Saturn has arrived, please give them a ring. Genius.
I like just about all the expansion and/or replacing of rides ideas that were previuosly mentioned.

Epcot:

I'm up for adding a middle eastern country.
Maybe updating the World Showcase shops a bit.
Bring back Food Rocks:love:
Bring back the good Figment.
I also miss the song "Living with the Land" at the end of the ride. I have a cd with it on there and played it so much, so that the last time my husband and I went on it - he sang the song at the end and received a round of applause from the other riders. He's never been on the original.
I think just about every thing could use a good update.

HS:

I think there is alot of wasted in the New York/California street area. Put something interactive there. Or a taxi cab ride or anything.
Update the Great Movie Ride. STELLAAA!!!!

AK:

My biggest complaint is not enough shade! In the middle of summer, you wait in the sun, ride in the sun, eat in the sun. Maybe a BIG family cool off area. No pools or anything, but those cool "interactive" fountains with the foamy ground, misting sprayers, shaded eating areas, etc.

Bring back the original Journey Into Imagination. Maybe update the animatronics but according to extremely reliable sources all the track and the turntables are still there; only covered by a raised floor.

Or at least bring back the walk-around Dreamfinder with Figment.

Yeah, I just rode the imagination ride last week. I forgot that they changed it some time ago, so this was my first time back on it since the dreamfinder version. The new version is was horrible. They took everything cool away and went shopping at the dollar store to fill a handful of sets with shunk smell and eye charts. Made me think that Kodak might have said, "hey we need a new attraction but want one for $50k".

I think $50K is giving them too much credit. I could have made a better version of it with a $100 gift card to any craft store and the junk in my house.

I'll do it for $25, and a set of 12 colored markers.

Do I get the contract now?

"If you had Wings"

BRING IT BACK!

If you had wings you could do all these things....Eastern...the wings of man.

Don't bring back Eastern Airlines though! lol. (I'm a Southwest fan)

It's a small world bores me. Put in some water drops or something.

Add massage chairs or people throughout the parks.

Sell prepaid phones so when you get there and find out your phone does not work, you can buy one.

If they don't already, offer a night in the castle to a guest, every day.

Have webcams all around the park, so when I need my Disney fix, I can watch others walking around the parks. (I think that makes me a voyeur?)

Add entrances at several areas of the park, so you don't have that mad rush to one area at opening and closing.

Put bunk beds in the value resorts and charge me an extra $20.00 a night for them, I would pay it.

-I vote for a Disney America theme park. But they shouldn't make it until the mid 2020's.
- I think we'd all love a monorail line from Orlando International to the Transportation and Ticket Center.
- Erase all existence of Stitch and his likeness at all Disney parks.
- Also, immediately destroy all traces of the kim Possible experience at Epcot.
-Open up Wonders of Life again and fill it with wii fit video games. Also, move move the old Star Tours into Wonders of Life. [To heck with theming]
- Add more rides to Pixar Place.
- A Villains-themed park makes no sense. Neither does an elite park for the rich.
-Move the Mickey house in front of the Grumman Theater to on top of the Grumman Theater.
- Add Pixar rides to Pixar Place and the Streets of New York area in the Studios.
- More rides in the Animal Kingdom!!!!
- No more resorts, I'm pretty sure they have enough rooms, fitting every style and budget.

MK

- Update or do something with Jungle Cruise - It bored me to tears and the CM even pointed it out. :lmao:

- Update the Tomorrowland cars. Why are they in Tomorrowland anyway? Not futuristic to me at all.

- Remove Stitch - it was stupid and boring and a waste of space.

- Add an additional ride in Adventureland.

EPCOT

- Add additional country. Not sure what country but it would be interesting.

- for an additional cost have an around the world tasting. Sample from each country. Separate from dinning plans and park ticket prices. Not sure if this is what the food wine thing is all about - never been at that time. Can be fun and educational. :goodvibes

- Remove Honey I Shrunk the Audience. Its so outdated at this point.

- Add some type of attraction at the countries that don't have anything but shops and food. Some countries need a ride or movie or something - like Morocco or Italy.

- Update Norway film. Did they do it yet? Or are they still showing fashions from the 80's??:rotfl2: Skipped the film this last trip.

HM

- Need another exciting ride on opposite end of park.

- Expand Pixar

AK

- need another thrill ride.

Overall

- 5th theme park would be cool with more thrill rides. I think teens would love this.

- Expansion of monorail.

- another moderate resort. Maybe an Asian theme - zen gardens, koi fish ponds. Or an underwater theme, like Atlantis or something.

- resort to resort transportation

- better indication of snacks at the resort. Parks okay but quite confusing at resort (Cafe Rix at CSR).

- Imax theater at DTD.

You've said it all. Every time I thought of something - there it was! I especially like the boat ride through Venice idea. :3dglasses

I wish they would do something about the unbearable crowds. It's no longer fun going to WDW.
