List of things I wish Disney would do at WDW

MK:

Get rid of the stools in Pacos Bill. It's ridiculous and even though Disney think's stools are easier, they're not. I can't relax in them. I'll fall down if I do.

Get rid of the Stitch stage if you're not going to move it elsewhere or enclose it. I'm sick of Stich anyway.

Open the Laugh Floor during extra magic hours. Ever since SM closed, the Laugh Floor hasn't been open during extra magic hours. Or, at least it hasn't been open when I've been there.

Get rid of that ridiculous water cannon that shoots at the people going by the briar patch when the other people go down the final drop of Splash Mountain. I know it's a water ride, but I can't go on it anymore because I get soaked. Getting splashed is refreshing. Getting my whole body soaked is not.

Get a bigger variety of food at MK. At night, Cosmic Rays is pretty much the only place open. And only the burgers section. I'm tired of burgers. Every other restaurant in WDW serves burgers (including the Pepper Market) and it's ridiculous.

Epcot:

Something needs to go where WOL is. That other pavillion between Test Track and Mexico can be used for the special events WOL has.

Get rid of the Mouse Gear odor. :crazy2:

Update Ellen.

Stop changing the Garden Grill menu. I loved the food they had before. It's good now, but I really liked the original catfish and whatnot.

Another country needs to go where the outpost is. It doesn't fit. No Africa or Asia, AK already has that.

Better service at San Angel Inn.

HS:

Backlot needs to go. Waist of space. It was good until LMA came. Now that just ruins the whole experience.

Update GMR

New Star Tours movie

I think they should make a room in TOT (like the Cinderella Suit) and have people stay in there for the night. That would be cool.

Pixar Place Expansion.

Bring back the Stars and Motor Cars parade. I LOVED that parade. It was so awesome and it wasn't annoying where it went all over the park and you couldn't go anywhere like SpectroMagic.

AK:

The Yeti didn't move the last time I went on EE. I hope they fix it.

More food options at Yak and Yeti.

Add an Australia land. There's land cleared behind Asia.

Replace Camp Minnie Mickey. Nothing is there anymore except for the Lion King, and that could be removed. Beastly Kingdom would be much better.

COVER UP THE BACK OF EVEREST. YOU CAN SEE IT FROM THE PARKING LOT AND FROM BLIZZARD BEACH. IT'S JUST A BUILDING IN BACK AND IT LOOKS UGLY.

Restorts:

Finish POP.

Let the people at the Contemporary use the BLT pool. Let other people go in the BLT building too. And let ALL the people staying at BLT use the lounge. That's ridiculous.

Hi - I just joined these boards and have enjoyed reading everyones ideas in this thread. I have been to WDW 3 times, but there are a few things I WISH they would do (in my perfect little world).

Just move the whole World Showcase to it's own park. Add more countries, more rides for big and small, shows, restaurants.

Move the rides at Epcot to World Showcase and add a few more. Like a roller coaster simulator. And some kind of NASA/space exhibit.

While we're at Epcot, make the whole thing green. Solar panels, wind turbines.

And I love the idea of a monorail that runs everywhere!!

I hope no one rips apart my ideas. Just some things for my fantasy Disney World. Oh, and a casino at Downtown Disney. Why not.

Thanks for listening.:grouphug:

I really wish Disney would take advantage of the bayou/jazz theme of the upcoming film: The Princess and the Frog, and apply it to Port Orleans somehow. The theming fits perfectly, and the film looks awesome (imo). :thumbsup2 It would be nice to see more films tied-in to the resort properties.

I am glad i am not the only one who agrees with the journey into imitation. We went as a family trip with my side of the fam a two years ago and I forgot to tell my mother they re-did this. She came out of it in tears on how horrible it was, she loved the old one. I vaguely remember this ride as a child but I found it on Utube and all the memories came back. Who ever redesigned this ride i hope they were set aside and got a coming to Jesus talk.:confused3
or better yet let go from Disney

I think there more of an oppertunity in the 4 parks they have. I think this would be a cheaper rute too. add more flavor from around the world, such as Austriala in AK, maybe an artic exibit awell. Epcot Russia, Spain, Brizal should be added. Magic kingdom add another land "mythical kindgom type land" DHS continue on pixar area.

:thumbsup2
For years Disney has gone out of their way to make your trip "exclusively Disney". From the hard push to stay on property to the transportation, to the EMH (only for Disney guests), etc. They want you to forget all about Universal, Sea World, Gator land, and where ever else you were considering, and just stay with them. And it has worked (at least for us). I've been to WDW 17 times, and I have never seen Universal. I've seen Boardwalk, DTD, PI, etc, but never Universal. I havent seen Sea World or the space center since I was about 8.

If they want to keep the tourists on Disney grounds, and the money in Disney pockets, they need more thrill. The competition is getting brave, but Disney is still asleep in that niche of the market.

That is so true. My family first started going to Disney World in the 1970s, when there was only Magic Kingdom. We used to always go see other attractions - Busch Gardens, Sea World, Gatorland, Cypress Gardens, Silver Springs, Cape Canaveral. But as Walt Disney World started adding more parks we would go visit less and less other attractions. Now that I am married with 2 lovely daughters, we go to Disney World and Disney World alone for 10 days. My girls know nother about the other attractions in Central Florida. I do agree though that it would be nice if they added more thrill rides/technically advanced interactive rides for teens. When my family (my parents and sisters - my oldest younger sister and I had to stay home) went their last time my sister and her friend who was 16 or 17 at the time didn't even bother going to the parks with my parents except for once. They just stayed by the pool the entire time. Nothing at the parks really interested them. That was before the Animal Kingdom was open however.

I am glad to see Disney is adding to their parks and have accounced several cool things at D23.

I like to have new attractions to look forward to on future trips and now I have some cool stuff to plan on seeing over the next three years.

MK Fanatasyland Rehab -

Very cool since I have a baby girl on the way and the Little Mermaid also sounds like fun.

Star Tours -

There is so much that can be done with Star Wars so I am glad to see that at least this is being updated. I really wish there was an additional Star Wars ride, not just a redo of the existing film and doing the new film in 3D, but glad to see some changes here.

Disneyland -

Sounds like Cal. Adventure will have some fun new attractions. I need to get over there.

Would still like to see:

1. EPCOT - New Countries with ride attraction
- Open Wonders of Life with attractions
- 100% redo on Energy Pavillion
- Oddyssey Rest. - Open or do something with this space
- Imagination needs to be 100% reworked

2. PI - Show some plans for PI space and Disney West side empty locations
- Build a new PI area

3. DHS - Redo or remove the Indiana Jones Show
- Clean up the Muppet Movie. It is looking very old
- Honey I shrunk the kids playground remove and use space

MK

Princess and the Frog ride that resembles Mr. Toad's wild ride where you are going through New Orleans in the French Quarter. I think that would be super neat.

Update the speedway to have futuristic electric cars or something of the sort. Would be "green"

Get rid of Stitch Great Escape (stinky ... pew)

More dining options

Epcot

Get rid of the global warming theme in Ellen's ride. Love Ellen, hate the fact that we have to be green because of global warming. Also hate the fact that they talk down nuclear power considering I am a nuclear engineer and I am a huge advocate for it.

Update Imagination. Just make the same ole ride it used to be.

Add more country attractions to take some pressure off the front of the park.

I don't like Mission Space, so do something with that. The ride is not appealing to me. It feels more like a ride you would find in Bush Gardens or Universal. I don't like it.

AK

Love the park, not much to change here.

Expand the Conservation area.

Add beastly kingdom

HS

Get rid of the dead end by Rockin Rollercoaster

Do something about the park to spread it out more. It feels very cramped to me whenever I go there.

Get back to the roots. Have more studio's based attractions. More arts based attractions that shows how movies are produced. It can even be worked into a ride if need be.

Get rid of the whole roller coaster feel. Ugh. Feels like that park only has coasters nowadays. There needs to be some more "in between" rides that aren't thrills and aren't 3-D movies like Muppets 3-D.

Epcot;
Get rid of the outpost. Its nice to have Africa represented, but Animal Kingdom takes care of the pretty well, and the outpost is really just....what exactly is at the outpost anyway? I'd say add a new country, like Australia, New Zeland, or Brazil.

Ellen's Energy ride has gone stale IMHO. I'd say remodel it, or replace it completely.

Magic Kingdom;
In general, this park needs some sort of attraction that will interest teens and adults. Something a bit more extreme than the reletively tame Mountain rides. I'd suggest a villian themed roller coaster or the return of Alien Encounter in place of the horrible Stitch ride.

Animal Kingdom;
I actually really like AK, and don't see much to change. The additions they've added in the past few years are all excellent! Adding more animal exhibits would be nice, but otherwise stay the course!

Maybe add the BEastly Kingdom, or at least add an attraction that acts as a nod to the park that never was. How about a 3-D adventure featuring the beasts of the world of Fantasy....or you know...whatever.

Disney Hollywood Studios;
I think the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground is a massive waste of space. That could be used for something genuinely cool. Also...I am a MASSIVE fan of American Idol...but I think The American Idol Experience sounds like a terrible idea. I'd much rather MIllionaire return, or something else entirely. Sounds Dangerous too...that sould be replaced with something that matters.

Down Town Disney;
Pleasure Island....bring it back. Now. K?

In General;
Lower the prices of everything...all around!:cool1:

Disney Hollywood Studios;
I think the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground is a massive waste of space. That could be used for something genuinely cool.

:eek:
I love that playground! You shut your mouth and never utter those words again!
Now the playground in TT is horrible. Why would you point out HISTK over that one?:confused:
Man alive, the things some people say...

Forgive me if this was mentioned but I did not read every post.

I would like to see some web cams in each of the parks.

WOW what excellent ideas especially E-Rock. A new country would be awesome. How do they go about that anyhow? I'm probably wrong but doesn't the country (to be built) have a certain amount of involvement in the creation?

1. Go green, don't gab green
Disney is plastering all transport and shirts with their "go green" propaganda - but they sure ain't practicing it. All the people movers and buses could be converted to Natural Gas or propane overnight - a lower emission fuel with low transport and processing costs that comes from the USA and can run the existing diesels with minor modification. Flap doors and passageways to keep AC from blasting into the streets and walkways, turn the temps up just a little from "meat locker" and use some passive solar and AC heat exchangers to heat water for bathrooms and restaurants. Forget huge pie-in-the-sky technology changes, just get practical with cheap existing technology now.

2. Where's my wi-fi cloud?
With the advent of smart phones, lots of people have the capability to get wi-fi, but the only place you can is in the Con-temporary resort (if you can finagle the password from the concierge). I want to know where the Dapper Dans are, how long the Space Mountain lines are, if there are no-shows at LeCellier and who's playing what live music where without picking up an outdated flyer that I'm going to throw away. Simple, cheap and good for crowd management and facility utilization.

3. Who's American Adventure is this?
Sam the Eagle from the Muppets? I'm embarrassed that our fine culture is represented in the World Showcase by sugary deep fried dough and sparkling white sterile buildings. The birth of our nation was a gritty, passionate affair, and it raised a musical, hard living, incredibly beautiful nation. Let's get some soul in the food, some country in the music, and some rebellion in the revolution! Where else can conservatives and liberals talk so much stuff at each other and then go out for a beer together? FYI, I'm a fiscally conservative, somewhat socially liberal pragmatist southern white boy pseudo intellectual whose momma actually did pick cotton. Just the kind of mixed up mutt our country turns out in astounding variety.

How about turning the Jungle Cruise into a rapid ride? Might be a little redundant with Kali over at the AK but it would add a little excitement to AL. I think the one at the AK is a little boring anyway (It does get you wet though!).
Just make the new JC more involving. Have natives throwing spears or blowing darts at you. Have it float through an old ruin. Actually have animals that threaten or pop out at you. You know, kinda "Indiana Jones" it up a bit.
It doesn't even have to get you wet, move fast or even bump you around like most rapid rides do. The spinning rafts would kinda make things different each time you ride it as you will always be looking a different direction.
The raft system will probably be higher volume as well and you don't need CMs on every boat.
Disney, if you read this and steal my idea, I will come looking for you. This idea is officially trade marked.
