I am taking a break from packing for our trip. I always end up bringing way too much junk. This time I am laying stuff out on the bed in the spare room and eyeballing for a day before packing. For me, my problem is not the clothes, I can fit those into a ziploc. It's all the other STUFF I bring. Books, camera gear, sunblock, etc. I'm sure I'll end up hauling down four suitcases anyway, despite my best efforts.

Here's a photo of the pasta from today. I agree with Laura that it needed less bacon and more red pepper. I was OK with the fact that it did not have any butter though.

We enjoyed a nice summer evening and grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and corn tonight. I also made a little dessert concoction that turned out well. I was just going to make strawberry shortcakes. I took the easy way out and bought the individual dessert cups at the bakery. But I decided to fill the indention with hot fudge, put the macerated berries on top, then whipped cream, and then more hot fudge. Yummo! Next time I would like to macerate the berries with Grand Marnier, but the kids were eating so I decided to leave it out.

Lauri--good luck with the physical!

Becky--hmmm too much bacon? Is that possible? Good luck with the packing.

Kathy and all other F&W peeps--looks like a trip will happen for me, but I need to nail down with my girlfriend which weekend works best for her. Hoping it will coincide with ya'll! That would be awesome!

Okay, gonna go see if there are any leftover strawberries for me to munch on!

Okay guys, you had better start hoping pixie dust falls DH's direction and gets a job ASAP so I can justify a plane ticket down for the F&WF meet! I wanna go! *stomps foot*

We ended up ordering chinese delivery; I came home and put on PJs after work and didn't feel like going out It was a new place, and was good, and now DH has enough food to last a day or two.

I'll be at SeaWorld tomorrow and Tuesday and it's going to be about 100 degrees. I don't sweat willingly; this will be a true testament to how much I like these kiddos.

Tonight we're having leftover homemade sloppy joes. Sometime today I am going to make some cream biscuits, only this time I'm going to add some bacon and cheddar cheese and see what happens.

Just been lurking. Trying to get back to life. If you can say an extra prayer for me tommarrow I have to go for my physical and if I don't pass I can't go back to work so pray that I will pass cause I'll go nuts if I can't go back to work.

I watched NFNS and it looks really good this time! I am a sucker for reality TV and wait for this one every year. I loved Aaron but his show is so boring! I do watch Adam's Will Work for Food and enjoy it. I think I am already picking my favorites

I admit I thought that our Liam sisters would be awesome on Network Star but I have to tell you that I think they are Iron Chef material! (Laura has told a few tales out of school and Becky is a force to be reckoned with. Together I bet Michael Symon would have had a run for his money )

Marisa's appointment is at 9 AM this morning so she should have the results this evening. I hope that the Dr can help her with therapy, but he has already mentioned surgery. This is the group I went to for my knee and they are not surgery happy doctors so I am a little worried.

Buddy got the entire field set yesterday , we had grinders from Big Y for lunch and he and I had the rest for dinner. They were just okay, the last time I ordered them they had plenty of meat and toppings, this time not so much.

Tonight I want to grill chicken and serve with a salad and a veggie. I blew my healthy diet out the door this weekend so I need to make up the damage

Maria- Marisa said send her the address where we all meet and the time you want us there and we will be there I went to the website and the view looks stunning! I am so excited!

Good Morning!

I am going to try and catch up now…

We had a nice weekend. On Saturday my nephew came over and we went to a really big WWII show. Then Sunday, my sister and BIL came to pick their son up and we had a BBQ. The Bacon Wrapped pork Kabobs were a hit. I will post the recipe in a bit.

Tonight we will have hamburgers, hotdogs, mac salad and green salad. I really need to start eating from the fridge/freezer. It is jam packed.

Do you believe my schmoopy poopy pants is 3 months old already! He is napping right next to me…gotta give him more kisses. I think I may give him too many…probably close to 500 a day!

Charlene, Thanks for posting the pics! They are great. That’s a great pic of Andrew and Mel! Give Andy (Charlene’s Hubby…yes, we have 3 Andrew’s in the family) a kiss for me for his Birthday!!! Have fun taking more bird pics and enjoy the Shrimp Box. I love that place!

Janice, I had a party for 8th grade graduation so I think its fine too. Congratulations to Alex! How did the sausage turn out?

Kathy, I have car envy. I love the look of the CRV. We are considering a caravan once all the finances fall in line with the new job and we see were we stand. My Camry is just a tight squeeze with the two kids.

She refused to sign me back to work for another 4 weeks which surprised me.

Then she ran through exactly what had been done and i was a wee bit shocked.They took away a wee bit more than I thought and had to do a fair bit tidying up.

My weekend was pretty quiet.The boy was to dance at our town fair but good old Scottish weather put paid to that,rained buckets !!

He was not a happy boy.

To cheer him up we went to the cinema to see Night at the Museum 2.

It was really good.

The dugout pic of A was awesome! When the kids start driving, Mom's go insane, it's not easy.

Good morning everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend.

It rained here all weekend. A real bummer as the boys were in a golf tournament for our local Optimist club. A real good organization and a fun time. But it was cold and rainy/drizzling all weekend. They said they had fun even so, so I guess all was good.

On Saturday morning Doug and I worked on a flower bed with pavers that I had been wanting to do for a long time. I finished it up yesterday (in the rain) and it turnd out better than I had hoped.

I have no idea which boy will be home or if neither or either will be home as tonight is golf league (I told you in the summer, I was a golf widow ). But that is alright as I have a ton of things to get done. We will be on our way to WDW this time next week.

So WFDT ~ if it is just me, a shrimp salad with a raspberry vinaigrette with a pumpernickel baguette. The boys would just die if I gave them anything like that - so if they are home we will be having BBQ pulled chicken sandwiches on a foccicia bread with a leftover pasta salad.

I have a few pages to read back and to catch up on so I will do that and BBL.
