The snow is here!

Great pics Claire :thumbsup2

Well I've had to abandon my trip into Nuneaton. As usual, a couple of cms of snow and the town has come to a standstill. It took me 25 minutes to do 1/2 a mile, so I've come home to a nice cup of tea ~ stay warm everyone :)

Thanks Mandy....did you notice Baileys collar?

It's ridiculous how this country can't cope with snow. It snowed when I was in New York a few years ago & we got up & out of the hotel about 8.30am & you wouldn't have known that it had snowed 2 feet! The roads & paths were totally clear except Central Park which is how we knew it had been snowing.

It is still snowing really heavy here. I think I will do a Tescos online order! :rotfl2:

Claire your dogs look so cute playing in the snow!!!! I think the 2nd picture says it all...it's cold, but fun!

Well obviously im staying in come snow or no snow.....looks nice though.

I slipped and slid round to the station but there are no trains running at all and no idea when they will be, so as there's no way I'm driving it's a day at home for me.

Me too, David! :yay: :yay: :yay:

She was waiting for me to throw more snow at her.....they love it & are both currently sitting staring out the window whimpering to go back out!

Your in the best place possible Emily...snuggled up in the warm. ::yes::

ive managed to get the kids to school and all my kiddies have arrived here so we are having a dvd day :thumbsup2

Managed to get in to work this morning (10 mile drive into Leicester) with no problems, although some side roads are really slippy!

Thankfully my business trip to Portsmouth today has been cancelled :)

Looking at forecast I might go home after lunch before it gets too bad.

My Dalmatian isn't sure about it at all! The whole thing is freaking her out but then she is deaf - I don't know what that's got to do with it but it's my explanation for all her quirky behaviour... As for Suzy Sheepdog - well, she loves it BUT I know from experience that she can't be out for long as lumps of ice form on her long fur and I get terrified she'll freeze...

My mums school is closed today, just shows how bad it is. The headteacher never closes the school.

My niece's preschool is open still though. My sister got my niece all dressed to play in the snow, when she phoned the school it was open. So off they went.

I don't work Mondays so I have no worries, although I hope its still here tomorrow, so I don't have to go in.

Our dog loves the snow, the problem is that it clumps up on his fur & its impossible to get it off.

Here are a couple pf pictures from my garden:

Great pics I also abandoned my trip. Wasn't using the car because of the weather so walked to get a bus and the snow was getting heavier traffic was at standstill and the buses kept going past me because they were full I turned around I can get more work done from home than i would travelling for hours to make a two hour lecture.

Just got back from a walk in a park near me and it was great. The snow was crisp and fluffy. It is windy though and the wind is blowing the snow from the trees in my garden. It looks so lovely.

More snow here. Just got home at midnight last night after work but left the car on the road as the driveway was too risky! Taking DH's scooby to work later as it has 4wd :)

Claire ;)

As predicted all our local primary and high schools are now closed except my kids one :rotfl2:

we have got almost half a foot here, which i was surprised about. Although it has been snowing pretty much solid since 4pm yesterday
