OMG, I was lost without this thread! I feel so disoriented, so disheveled, vaklempt! Thanks to Kimmar for lighting the way!

Phew, now, where were we?

Just had to let everyone know, how much I appreciate that this is a place filled with nice people!!! I just had a frightful experience at another forum. Brookelizabeth inspired me to sign up with Weight Watchers Online (again). Today I actually posted a question on their forum. The result was: 20 answers making fun of me and one real answer. This really is not motivating if you try to loose weight! I think I am just spoiled by the generally pretty friendly DIS Boards and especially the Jambo Bunch!! :lovestruc

:goodvibes You know where your friends are:)
Sorry you had to experience that....shame on them!!!
We will support you:thumbsup2

And for my 4,000th post, these would be the "standard" view rooms you DON'T want to get
(they are along the walkway to the buses):

Congrats!!!!4,000!!!!!!

And before you know it, Elin, your family will be enjoying a beautiful holiday at WDW!

Not long at all, Laura! Kristin booked her airfare this afternoon and I, in turn, booked a town car to come pick her up to take her to the airport. We also persuaded Kathrin (with a little help from her friends) to swallow her pride and allow us to buy her plane ticket for the trip. That way we know she can come and she also won't have to worry about the expense. The rest of the trip is our treat anyway. :)

The castle lights were on one night when I was there -- of course, I didn't hear about it until the next day so I still haven't seen the castle "iced"!! :rotfl2: The Osborne Lights are (mostly) up; looks like they only have a little work left to do.

I cannot wait to see the castle "iced" since we were not there last year. I know my DDs and I will cry! And I missed the Osborne Lights too. I am very excited to see them again.

:sad1: Now I'm going to cry! Here's the closest I will get to the Osborne Lights this year:

The castle is "iced" for the Holidays - they did it last Nov/Dec for the first time. I've yet to see it in person, only pictures. :sad1: Check out bradk's pictures from 2007 to see the iced castle: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=21817039&postcount=1

Oh, I hope the Osborne Lights start early. I know so many people were disappointed to hear November 28th. For all the trouble to get those lights up, they might as well maximize the enjoyment! :thumbsup2

Thos pics from bradk are amazing!! Thank you for the link. From what I've read here on the DIS, we are going in the week where we might see the lights, we might see some decorations (outside of MK), and we might experience the "go to sleep in a normal resort / wake up in a Christmas wonderland". I really, really, really hope we get to experience it all! It does make sense to start the lights earlier in November considering how much work goes into that all!

Really? I have been toying with trying Weight Watchers on-line after my November and December trips, but I may rethink it after the response that you had. :grouphug:

Oh my! I'm sorry you experienced that Flossbolna! I've only posted on the boards a couple times (the "Newbies" board, the "Online" board, and the "Flex" board) and each time was treated very well. You'd think that at a place where everyone has the same goal (which can be a very sensitive subject) you'd find decent support! I hope that does not deter you from chasing after your goal. Maybe you can find a support home here on the DIS on the WISH board, or on another WW board.

brookelizabeth!Looka t your ticker:banana: Snow????? You poor thing!

brookelizabeth... SNOW??!?!?!?

Yes, snow. Thankfully it did NOT stick, but it was flurrying for a few hours today! :sad2: Tomorrow's high is 38. Ugh.

:sad1: Now I'm going to cry! Here's the closest I will get to the Osborne Lights this year:

Those pics make me hopeful that they are quite far along in the lights and maybe they will start early, like in, oh-say 2 weeks?!?! If I do get to see them, I'll be sure to take pics and video!

DON'T rethink!! WW Online is a great way to loose weight! I did it before, lost 26 pounds, but regained quiet a few and never got to my real goal, that's why I signed up again. And my experience was with the German Weight Watchers forum, the one in the US might be totally different!

I agree that you do. Our older DD was just laid off from her job of 8 months last week too. I feel your pain.

Thanks:hug: Send your daughter a hug from me, and some pixie dust, too!

I have to agree with this too! I have lost about 35 pounds, same with DH. It has REALLY taught us about portion sizes, balanced meals, and choosing wisely. I love that they don't suggest you give anything up. You can eat dessert. You can eat bread! It's about living.

I'm a WW disciple. ;) I wish it was a pryamid program because I know about 15 people who have signed up because of my results! :rotfl:

Not that it will be ENTIRELY the same, but I'll make sure DW shoots a few dozen shots (and maybe some video by yours trully) of them and I'll upload and post it all "somwhere" (like, in my planned trippie or the website we're thinking of putting up) for you.

Wish I could do more. :confused3
