I want to change homeowners insurance policies...I have not had pleasant conversations with them today, to put it lightly...

I did send Pete a funny email and I am sending him another one now to cheer him up...it is how not to let a bear out after rehab...

Hey look at it this way Pete at least you have a job to be mad at !

That's what I told him. It's not like the situation is dire...but it would have been an exceptional opportunity. Maybe things will change. I always say everything happens for a reason. And let me tell you guys, Pete is not one to ever complain about work and is rarely in a bad mood, ever!! So you know how much this meant to him!!

That's what I told him. It's not like the situation is dire...but it would have been an exceptional opportunity. Maybe things will change. I always say everything happens for a reason. And let me tell you guys, Pete is not one to ever complain about work and is rarely in a bad mood, ever!! So you know how much this meant to him!!

Everything does happen for a reason! Sometimes road blocks come up and encourage some much needed change. I realize I may not have a clue what's really going on here, but it sounds like this company could use some change and maybe a "person" reviewing situations instead of a "system." Tell him to stay positive. I know it will all work out!

Ok, other sticking point today...ongoing argument with insurance agent...

back in '06, policy stated that I had to have a hurricane shutter certification and a statement from my contractor about all this stuff my house did and did not have...well, i faxed all this in and only got the shutter discount and no one can tell me why nothing else was done, the agent or corporate

the agent's assistant just wants to tell me there never were such discounts (which the head office says differently) and that the piece of paper I have from my policy did not come from her office and she is just an "Indian"...i told her that was a lie and it had her company's name all over it and that i would just take it up with corporate because her customer service was lacking at best...her office also failed to call me last year to tell me that a brand new form had to be filled out by the contractor and when asked why she called this year and not last, she said i should have done it myself last year because it was all over the news because of the change and it was my responsibility...she was just making a courtesy call this year because i was on the list of people with no discounts (gee i wonder why, i had already done this once...) we then had another lengthy conversation about ineptness of customer service...

so i have the new and improved form faxed to her and an email with pictures of the four sides of my house so to prove that the contractor is not lying...let the next round begin...oh and i called corporate and told them what was going on because they tried to blame it on them saying the underwriter never gave them the fax..yada yada and the underwriter doesn't work there anymore yada yada...

i go through this every august with them...

I sure do! Like talking to another insurance agent tomorrow, or the insurance commission, whichever I feel more evil doing tomorrow!

One of my friends at church stopped by the office to tell me about her family's vacation at FtW last week. She said that FtW was basically a ghost town. She also said a CM jumped in her face for letting her son drive the GC they rented. Her son is 16 with his learners permit, and she was with him.

If you knew my friend and did this to her, you wouldn't have known what hit you!! She jumped right back in his face and just about shoved the learners permit up his nose and told him to concentrate on the 7 year olds driving carts without adult supervision. This happened on day 2 of their 7 day stay and she stewed about it for a long time.

She & her DH are both hard working individuals and like most of us, have to watch their money. They could have chosen to stay elsewhere, but chose FtW to spend their vacation and their money at...and by the looks of the occupancy of the fort others ARE choosing to stay elsewhere. FtW and WDW as a whole should think about that!

People are frustrated with the economy and their fuses are getting shorter. It's showing everywhere you turn!

Been thru the early 1970's gas crisis and hour's wait to get my 10 gals of gas, the later 1970's Ca. water crisis where we were using bath water to water plants and not flushing toilets until there were at least either 10 number 1's or 3 to 4 number 2's and endured Jimmy C's outrageous inflation so this current situation is just another bump in the road of life so those that take things too seriously I just keep quiet and get thru whatever is facing me.

Yeah me too because according to the who's at the fort calendar he's there now for a while and he says he's coming to the LDGG. I think I've lost my status as "always at the fort" to several other dis'ers. Sign me as not there as much as I used to. Maybe the new chic will like the fort and want to go more. I need funding from her lol.
