Anyone know how much Seaworld tickets would cost at the travel office on my Army Post? Im at Hunter in Savannah GA , are all the tickets the same prices at military installations. Is it cheaper to buy the tickets at the ITT office or at SOG?

I know Amheuser Busch is still doing the Seaworld tickets free for active duty and 3 dependants, but my mom and brother will be vacationing with us , so I wanted to know how much Seaworld tickets would be for the as well.

Thanks

Do you know when that deal runs until? I was able to take advantage of it in 2003, and I might consider doing it again, if it's still happening in August.

Its been pretty consistent the last few years, that it runs the entire calendar year.

A/B renews it pretty faithfully every year. as for additional prices, I THINK, but don't quote me, you can get additional tickets much less expensively(off reg retail) at the gate. the one in Williamsburg has a separate entrance JUST for this program and I do remember many people buying additional tickets.

In fact,. it's just about time to go back to Williamsburg for us....it's conveniently just a couple of hours away and en route to DH's SIL, who is nice enough to be my rum runner( I can't have wine shipped to me in MD, so she gets all my packages from Monterey for me and holds them. and she's only broken into a box once ! heheheh)

Yup they are correct the program usually runs right up until Dec of the end of the year.
I no at Seaworld Orlando they also have the separate line for military.
I just hope that maybe we can get discounted tickets at Seaworld.

We bought the extra ticket we needed from SeaWorld online. It was the best deal we found. To get the special price, the ticket had to be purchased at least 7 days in advance. It worked out great. :fish:

If you go to the SeaWorld website it has the info you need. Home page or ticket page, bottom of page on the left it says Special Visitors, go down and click on Military. There's a registration page that you can print out and take with you to the park or wait and get one from guest services at SW.

Any other details just call 1-800-327-2424.

Yep and you have to bring that with you to get the free admission. We went to Seaworld San Diego this past Oct for free. It was very easy, they take the form and ID and issue you the tickets. There was a separate booth for it.

Just in case, the person doesnt actually need the paper , they do offer it on the site, the main thing you are going to need is your military id's. You can do the registration right over the site. This is at the Seaworld Orland though, so maybe the rules differ. We have went 2x and the 1st time we had the paper but left it in the car by accident, 2nd time our printer was broke and we didnt have it. They never asked though.

Are there any of the SOG faithful out there that are also AAA members? I considered joining for our trip next year, but it seems like a lot of money to join at one time. Does AAA enable any discounts on top of our military discounts for the hotel and tickets? Is there any advantage to joining?

you cannot combine discounts as far as room rates or anything, but the mere security is a BIG factor. we needed AAA our last trip to DL when the car battery went dead. we have also used them in the past to get a better deal on a cruise than our military discount could have gotten us.

for us it's worth the price just to have the peace of mind. If you plan on driving, then it's DEFINITELY worth the price you pay.

Wow, hard to believe we've been home for over a week after our very quick weekend trip to SoG. It was great! We hadn't stayed there in over 7 years. It took us a day to find our way around. We were in room 3148. We were really surprised when we went out onto our balcony and there was a huge wall! I'm pretty short and I could barely see over it. If we had stayed longer than a weekend, I would have requested to change rooms. We had a late night dinner at Evergreens when we arrived Friday night. We shared the Alpine chicken wrap and onion rings. Excellent! We ate breakfast at Garden Gallery on Sunday morning. We enjoyed that also. We thought the buses were a little old, but they did the job. I've been recommending SoG to all the military I work with. Beautiful resort.

Welcome back to the real world :goodvibes! Glad you had a good time at SoG and good to hear the food is descent, I've heard so many pros and cons. I'm the kind gal if I don't have to cook or clean up, I'm a happy camper!! :rotfl:

Surprised to hear about high walls on the balcony, you'd think they be wrought iron railing, plexiglass or something - was that possibly the new section? That was the first thing we asked for when we made our ressies in Dec - please give us 'ground' floor rooms w/a play area, and near the pool, for our grands.
We can't wait and feel very fortuante to qualify to stay at SoG! :goodvibes

I got this photo from the SOG website. In the new section it appears that there are a handful of balconies that don't have the green iron railings. Instead they are obstructed by the large stone facade structures (see the center of the photo). You must have been in one of those rooms - they all seem to be on the third floor. Perhaps some of the balconies below are obstructed, too. But not to the extent that those third-floor rooms are.

oh that would make me sad to have a blocked view. It sounds like the rest of your trip was NICE!

now I am getting even more excited for our trip!!!!!

So do most of you that fly to WDW use Mears for transportation to and from the airport? Are there any other options besides taxis? Just curious.

We rent a car because we like the convenience. Also we often visit my Dad in Lady Lake while we are at WDW.

We rent a car. We like having a car to get to the parks rather than taking the busses - except for MK since we walk, and occasionaly we walk then take the monorail to Epcot as well.

We have in the past used a car service to get to SOG from MCO and back, and that was nice. That time our friends had their minivan, so we were able to all fit in it to get around during the trip.
