Sorry if this has been covered already. It's been seven years since we've stayed at SoG. Do they show Disney's Top Ten Must Sees? (or whatever it's called) at SoG?

As of a month ago, SoG had that channel (==groan==)...

Here's a scan of the SOG TV Listings (from the SOG Jan 2008 Newsletter). You can watch the WDW Top 7 show on Channel 4. It runs on a loop with highlights of other Orlando attractions.

How do you go about signing up to recieve these newsletters? Or is this something you only recieve upon check-in?

Really? That's a plus to me! I thought they didn't have it. SWEET!:cool1:

The reason I "groaned" was because I recall reading on this website that SoG not having that channel was a deal-breaker for some military familes staying on Disney (meaning they would stay at POP, or one of the values, instead).

Their rationale was this channel made them feel like they were on vacation.

Now that I've seen "Stacey" for myself a half dozen times, I can say "been there/done that/no more, please..."

thank you so much for all that info!! I'M SO EXCITED! This is my mom's first trip ever, she sent me when I was in high school becuase she said she didnt think she'd ever get to go but wanted me to. Now that i'm married with kids i'm taking her! :cloud9:

They had some at the reception desk, along with other SOG pamphlets and info sheets (like the Bus Schedule posted above).

I hadn't seen the newsletters before. They didn't hand it out at check-in, it was just sitting on the desk. And when I went back a few times to get another copy, I couldn't find any more (I didn't bother asking because everyone was always busy). It was the last week of the month, so maybe they had run out.

We have a rule when we go to WDW - we cannot watch "real" tv. (We really don't watch tv, it's on when we're getting ready or going to bed, etc). We're only allowed to have the Disney info channels on or the weather channel. No reality for us!

TBDave, thanks so much for scanning and posting the newsletter!

For some reason I am having trouble successfully accessing the last page (bus schedule). Is there any way you could repost just that one scan separately? I'm sorry to trouble you, but have tried numerous times to no avail.

With thanks!

I believe that they handed these to us when we checked in for our 2006 stay.

Welcome! Your family sounds pretty much like mine, except my girls are 6, 4, and 1 this summer. I haven't been to SOG yet either, so I don't have any good tips for you. Other than to say there seems to be a lot of great info and tips throughout this thread. I suggest reading through as much of it as you have time for (if you haven't already). And then if you have any specific questions, feel free to ask here.

Then when you get back from your trip, we'd love to hear what you thought and if you have any tips of your own for the rest of us. I know I'd love to hear them.

The best advice I can give is take your time -- you won't be able to see everything so don't try. Relax and enjoy the experience.

Does anyone have any photos of the path between SOG and the Poly? I've heard that it is well marked... could someone tell me if it is concrete or dirt?

I don't have a stroller, but someone in my party may bring one, just wondering if it is easy to navigate.

Thanks :)

It's a paved pathway. You'll have to cross a street to get to the Poly. On the Poly property, there is a sign on the path pointing the way to SOG.

well i will be leaving in 4 days to SOG and i will take as much pictures as i can and try to get as much info as i can. any certain pics that anyone would like for me to take?
