Zombie Apocalypse and Pixie Dust - A 2 week Disneymoon (PTR link 11/14)

The photopass pic of you 2 in front of the castle at night is really good and the other pic you took of the purple castle reflecting in the water is fantastic. :)

I love EMH at the MK! Those nights always seem to be the ones I enjoy the most. Yay for actually getting to use your FPs, unlike us who wasted them all! :headache:

I completely agree about the MSEP! I wish they would bring Spectro back. They just don't compare! :sad2:

I'm in the MSEP corner as well but I also have never seen Spetro other then on YouTube. I even love the music. However, I would like to see Spetro live one day.

About the squirrel I've heard that when people start to feed them they will bite and scratch each other to get that single piece of popcorn that just landed in-between them.

Reading your TR is really making me miss MK I can't wait to go back.

I actually thought I would like the music of MSEP, but somehow it just didn't appeal to me. :confused3

People really need to stop feeding the animals and let nature feed them.

Hope you get to go back to WDW and MK soon! For us we know it will be at least 2 years, possibly more. But at least we have something else to look forward to in those 2 years. :)

I'm sure you goy lots off people picking covers for you but if my opinion counts I like option 1. Love all the awesome TL pixa nd the wave pool is so much fun.

I've already started working on the photobook and have settled with option 1 for the cover, and a variation of option 2 for the very first page. I've also done a two page spread of castle pictures. It's a lot of work, but the final product will be phenomenal! :wizard:

we just love pecos bill.Myself and DW always go to MK on our first day and always eat at pecos bills on the first day...kinda tradition for us

We did like Pecos Bill a lot, except how hard it was to find a table.

beautiful pix of the castle

Thanks! This trip I tried really hard to get interesting pictures. I tried to think about different angles and points of view. :)

I was actually slightly disappointed in the EMH. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed them, but I was just expecting it to feel a bit more "special". It wasn't much less crowded than a regular night and we were getting tired, so we could not enjoy it as much as I had imagined we would. We still had a good time, just not an amazing time. ;) But yeah, at least we were able to use 5 of our 7 sets of FP. :thumbsup2

I want to post an update today, as soon as my cat is done hanging out on my lap. She makes it harder to type. It's funny, it's like after 5 years of asking US to get up to pet her, she finally realized that "Hey! It's nice hanging out on the couch with my humans!" :cutie:

Oh I know I'm plugging this up but if you guys love Rommel's trip report than check out my trip report. The Crazy Disney Extravaganza right here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2805656

If you have the time please come see it.

Hey, you deleted your informative post about MSEP! I was just about to say "Thanks for the info", but noticed that I quoted something different. Thanks anyway! :rotfl:

I'll go check out your TR. You should put a link in your signature, more people would see it. :)

Ah damn it sorry! Well I'll post the information again but this time it's summarized: basically there are two versions of the MSEP theme the orignial 1977 one and the 2010 one and there's virtually no difference from the two the only difference is that the 2010 one is that it was done on a more up to date synthesiser. There that information is helpful sorry about deleting it but I hope you will be able to read up on my trip report soon.

Day 5 part 1 - Sleeping In!! and Plans? What Plans?
August 15th, 2011

After staying up really late for MK EMH and having trouble falling asleep, we were very tired. It was finally time for a well deserved morning of sleeping in! We slept very well until about 10am, then dozed on and off until noon. By that time, they were full on doing landscaping outside our room so no more quiet time. We watched a bit of TV while slowly getting ready.

We went to the POP food court to eat lunch. I forget what Ron had (bad Diser I am, not writing it down or taking a picture!), but I had an Angus burger. I remember liking it on our very first day, but for some reason this time I don't. It tastes too smoky for me.

Finally it is after 2pm when we make our way on a bus. There is one park we hadn't visited yet.

235.jpg

Epcot!! We love that park! Since we were rolling in so late, the plan was to just hang around World Showcase for the day. Remember that...

Obviously our first stop was photopass pictures!

Photo0245FourBySix.jpg

We even got to do a magic shot.

Photo0248FourBySix.jpg

Ok, I know we said the plans was to just do World Showcase, but it wouldn't hurt to stop for a spin on our favorite relaxing ride, Spaceship Earth, right? It was a walk-on!

236.jpg

There is no dancing on Spaceship Earth!

237.jpg

Unfortunately, the ride was not as great as it usually is because they had a few technical difficulties. First the computers reboot so we have no narration at the beginning. Then when we make our future Ron's face doesn't show up. And finally, we can't even find our video at the end to send it to ourselves. Bummer!

After this little disappointment we continue on our way to WS... but first we make a stop at Club Cool. I hadn't tried Beverly on our previous trip and I wanted to see how bad it was. Here's my face:

Beverlydrinkingface.jpg

Sorry to disappoint you! I actually did not think it was that bad. I wouldn't drink it for fun, but I guess because I was *expecting* it to be awful, I wasn't surprised.

Off to World Showcase now. Well, not quite. Ron wanted to make a detour by The Land to get FPs for Soarin. They were for quite later, but we were okay we that.

Ok, so surely NOW we were on our way to WS by now? Nope! Plans? What plans? There was no line for Living With the Land and we had never done it before, so we hopped on. And took pictures!

And even more pictures in the greenhouse.

We took this picture for Ron's brother, that's the name of his restaurant.

We LOVE rice and eat it with anything and everything.

A Hidden Mickey.

I'm not sure why but we walked back towards the Fountain of Nation. Or maybe it was earlier? Anyway, we got one more photopass.

Photo0253FourBySix.jpg

Oh yeah, I know why we went towards there. We wanted to go to the Kim Possible Kiosk to get a FP for later. So we got one and it told us to make our way to the International Gateway in a short while.

Up Next, World Showcase, At Last!!!

Thanks for posting it again. And I did check out your TR, just before I did my update. :)

So what did you 2 think of living with the lands? I think it's a nice ride, kinda relaxing and the greenhouse has got some really neat and different kinds of veggies and plants.

Uhhh...Rommel? I hate to alarm you but I kind of posted the trip report on the Trip reports forum and the UK trip reports forum...and I might've send you the wrong link instead...urgghhhh...

We liked it a lot! It's nice and relaxing. I think we really like a lot of the relaxing rides. Neither of us are into gardening at all, yet we found it interesting.

Well it was your name and your avatar, so I'm pretty sure I replied to the correct one. ;) Or are you saying that you are writing it in two different places?

ETA. Nevermind, just found the right one. I'll go read it.

Don't worry it's the same trip report it's just posted onto two different forums. I was recommended to post the same trip report onto the UK forums cuz I am british after all.

Hi, I'm here, joining in! I read your whole TR today, it's awesome, you guys are so cute! I tried to remember things to comment on, but of course, I'm sure I forgot most of it! :sad2:

Isn't wearing those bridal Minnie ears fun? I loved wearing mine on my Disneymoon last year, I can't believe I can never wear them again...unless maybe on an anniversary trip, is that acceptable?

I love all of your PP pictures, I had no idea they had PP photographers at Typhoon Lagoon! We've only been once, in 2008, and I don't think we bothered with PP yet! :confused3

I can't believe the amount of FP's you guys get at once! You did TSM 4 times in one day (I think?)!!! I really have to try that method!

I like the Buzz ride, but I'm awful at it too...I don't know where I'm supposed to be shooting so I just randomly shoot at anything and end up with the most pathetic score ever. :sad2:

I can't believe you waited so long to go to Epcot, I don't think I'd be able to be in Disney for almost a week without going to Epcot! But then again, I'd live in Epcot if I could!

I love that hang gliding PP picture, I'd love to get that someday!

I don't think the Beverly is that bad either, but I wouldn't drink it by choice!

Living with the Land is nice if you want to relax for a while, I don't really like the greenhouse part all that much, but I like all the scenes before!

Hope you guys make it to WS soon! :rotfl:

Found it. :)

:welcome:

Bridal Minnie Ears are awesome. I got so much attention for the CMs and characters because of them. And they make for beautiful fun pictures. The only other time I may be able to wear them is for Halloween at my school (teachers don't really dress up at this school. Kind of a bummer, but at least I can accessorize). I want to buy a new set of ears on our next Disney trip. :goodvibes

We remembered taking a picture in the TL pool 2 years ago, but didn't know there would be *that* many PP people!

We rock those FPs! :rotfl: We never thought in a million years that we'd get to go on TSM 4 times in the same day. It was a mix between positioned super well at rope drop to be the first at the FP machine, and the crowds not being so bad that day so that there were FPs left close to noon.

I played around with our schedule so much before the trip, trying to visit each park on a good day. At some point I had us go to Epcot first, but then we were spending the first 5 days ONLY visiting Epcot and MK twice each. So I settled on Epcot last instead. It's okay though, we love each park almost equally.

I thought Living With the Land was only the greenhouse, so those first scenes were a nice surprise!

We do make it to WS next, I promise!

I thought the same thing about living with the land. It's funny the pictures you took on that ride are almost the exact same as the ones I took.

Beverly was not all the awful in mine or my DDs opinion also maybe it's a Canadian thing.

I have a quick question. Where did you and Ron get your backpacks and do you remember about how much they were? They are similar to the one I used. I've had mine for so long and used it for a few years to go to floor hockey that the liner is just in shreds. I think it's time for a new one.

Haha, that's funny that we both took almost the exact same pictures!

I guess we Canadians are more tolerant of weird beverages. :confused3 :rotfl2:

We bought our bags at Bentleys. They probably were on sale for around 20$, or buy one get half off. Don't remember the exact price, but they always have sales there. Ron did think his was a tiny bit too small (I knew it would be, he didn't listen to me. Men. :rolleyes1) And the only problem with mine is that the strap kept rubbing against my sunscreen and became very sticky . Not the bag's fault though...

Huh funny I hardly used any sunscreen when I was at Disney World but still it can be annoying when the bag strap breaks and stuff just spills into the bag once when I was in middle school I had to change my bag because the old one smelled of cheese mainly because of the fact that I always had cheesestrings for morning break it was just horrible after long period I can tell you that much. Just really really rank....

Awww. Technical difficulties are no fun! But it does look like you were having a good time anyway :goodvibes

Ugh, don't talk to me about smelly backpacks. Had a student with one once...

Yeah, it was too bad one of our favorite ride had technical difficulties, but we did come back to it later. And yes, we had a good time with all our little detours.

Ok, do I feel good enough to post a new update???
