We are heading to Zion and Bryce this summer and looking for lodging and activity advice.
Looking at the Ponderosa at Zion, but would love options. No idea for Bryce yet.

TIA

We went to Zion and Bryce last summer - it was beautiful but HOT! Holy cow, not Bryce so much because of the elevation but Zion about killed us. My favorite part of Zion was the Narrows. Be sure to get up early to beat the crowds. You will know what I mean when you attempt to come back with all of those people.
At Zion, we stayed in Springdale at the Desert Pearl Inn - it was great - definitely recommend that. We stayed in the cabins at Bryce - we loved those as well.

We went to Bryce & Zion in 2014. We debated whether to make 2 hotel stays or 1 in between the 2 locations. Since we were also planning a visit to Page, AZ, we really didn't want a 3rd hotel stop in a 1 week trip. (Well, really it would have been a 4th hotel since we needed one close to LAS airport the last night for an early flight home.)
So we chose this cabin.

Our boys were 14 & 17 then and they say the highlight of the trip was the ATV tour we did. Out there, one only has to be age 14 to ride their own so they LOVED it. (Far more than any siteseeing/hiking.)

We did this in a Sept.- at Zion we stayed at a hotel/campground right outside the gates to Zion (we didn't camp) that provided free breakfast, and we could just walk in and start exploring- The Narrows are not to be missed, and as noted, go as early as possible, we went in around 8 a.m.,and when we left at about 4, the crowds hanging around the first 1/2 mile were like the crowds surrounding the castle at fireworks time:scared1: we also rented the special socks/shoes which enabled us to spend hours walking thru the Narrows, after a few hours of numbing cold water they are so necessary!
Bryce was spectacular, and there are camping areas right there, or a bunch of hotels and restaurants about a mile or so from entrance- Bryce is small, but I could have stayed much longer, it was fascinating. Try to be at Bryce for sunrise, it's worth it for the sun glow...... (wish we could have gone to Page, it just wasn't in our plans)

Zion was so hot that we really saw very little of it. Bees all over the place at the visitor center and miserably hot so we basically drove through it. Bryce was beautiful and mostly manageable weather (but it did storm at the end of our day so we had to get in off the cliff so we didn't get hit by lightning). We stayed at a cute little motel, but I have no idea what it was called because I didn't make the reservations. A Model T club was having a show at the Best Western across the street so we walked across and enjoyed a little bonus.
