Zhu Zhu pets a hit!

My boys got their hamsters, fun house, and play balls this morning from their Aunt who is visiting from another state. We exchanged gifts early with the kids instead of mailing them. Seeing a reaction in person is much better.

They LOVE the hamsters and fun house. The balls...not so much. The hamster keeps flipping over and laying on it's back in the ball. If they don't show more interest in the balls I am returning them.

I do wish we had more rooms but I am waiting to see how long this love of the hamsters last. But they haven't been this excited for a new toy in a while.

They are 7 and almost 6.

Thanks for posting the review. My DS is 6 and has been begging me for these. I got them for him for Christmas but wasn"t really sure if a 6yr old boy was really going to enjoy them. Glad to here they do.

thanks for posting this. You're the first person I heard of that actually has actually used them. My daughter has said nothing about Zhu Zhus until this week when she saw the commercial for them, but I got all the hamsters and accessories this week hoping that they were fun to play with.

Well, I had three zhu zhu pets in my possession until last night when I sold them. I gave one to my niece a couple of weeks ago for her bday and she was excited. My children had asked for them and I bought them. Then the other night I went to buy the accessories and thats when I changed my mind. I figured they would play with them for about a week and forget about them. I am going to put the money towards their dsi's that they had wanted. I know they will play with those.

OP--When you use the ball did you attach that plastic triangle widget to the bottom of the hamster. That makes a difference in the ball.

We have one hamster and one ball. We bought them for our cat, about 4 months ago. He likes to chase the ball and pounce on it.

I did buy lots of other zhu-zhu pet stuff in August, those were gifts for human children.

We gave DD4 Zhu Zhu pets and most of the accessories for her birthday at the beginning of the month. She played with them like crazy the first day, but has barely touched them since. Not sure why, because they seem like the type of toy she would love. Oh well

All my boys have done today is play with their zhu zhu's. They've used them with the fun house, but have also used them in other imaginative invented games. I will admit, being in the car with 2 zhu zhu's yapping is a bit irritating. But they LOVE them. Hopefull the love lasts tomorrow.

Just wish I could find one!!! Here in Alabama they have been almost non existent. The guy at Target said they got one box in last week and were sold out ten minutes after they opened. Its about the only thing my daughter has mentioned wanting for Christmas! If anyone gets an extra that they want to sell, for a decent price of course... I would definately be interested. Glad to hear that they are something the kids seem to enjoy too!

Mope, you are not the only one creeped out. I even had 4 in hand and took them back as I thought they were a waste. My daughter mentioned them once when she saw them in the car so I let her see them. She was no longer interested. I got more of a reaction from the TRU employee and manager when i returned them. It was kind of funny to see the shocked look because I was returning them.
