Uhgg. I just survived being able to pick up a couple zhu zhu's and one accesorie for Christmas....now Dd's bday is this week and she HAS to have a zhu zhu baby. I don't see them ANYWHERE online. Not just out of stock, but can't even find a store that sells them The prices on EBay are ridiculous, more so than they were for regular zhu zhu's.

Anybody know what store even sells them? maybe I can get lucky.

Check those e-bay auctions carefully. They're probably set up as pre-orders with tons of disclaimers in case the seller can't actually get his/hers hands on the auction item.

The only info I've seen is that the babies will have a mid January launch. I doubt that they're in stores yet. Your DD might be tough out of luck for her actual birthday. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

They are around but not much, my friend was able to get one at CVS a few weeks ago. They had only gotten 4 in the delivery and she got the last one.

CVS, my daughter's godfather is a manager there. They come and go quick, he said they are also getting regular zhu zhu accessories soon too.

I was in a walmart today and saw the orginal Zhu Zhu's and right next to them were the spots for the baby's....there were none there but it looks like have the space and are ready for them.

try Halmark I have seen them there. I will warn you We got the huge $120 pack from Toys R US for my dd for christmas and they are awful!!! They are so cheap. The peices keep falling apart. They are cheap plastic that wont stay together easily and falls apart at the slightest touch (if you can get it together in the first place) That is the biggest dissapointment I have ever bought my daughters. They were excited to see them but quickly lost interest when the pieces kept coming undone...

Thanks everyone...I tried a couple cvs'es and did get a bed that I needed, but had no luck with the babies., I didn't know hallmark sold them, so I will try there and walmart today.....

I realize the accesories aren't the best quality, and that is why I only got her a couple pieces at Christmas, thinking that would be enough and she would lose interest, but she is HOOKED. LOVES them, sleeps with them, the whole 9 yards. Uhg.

We also got the huge $120 pack from Toys R Us for our DDs for Christmas. Ours stays together though and the wheel works great. The only thing the kids have learned to do is keep the garage doors open and then the car goes better. We also have the ball and it works great and looks pretty real. I have heard other complaints about them falling apart and was glad that our stuff didn't. Maybe it depends on the age of the kids so they don't bump them? Mine are almost 8, 11, and even my 15 year old loves them. We are looking to get the boat next but aren't really interested in the babies.

I saw them on e-bay. They're just hard plastic right? I won't bother with them.

I bought a zhu zhu baby before Christmas. Thought I had hit the jackpot! Unfortunately, they don't work well. I am assuming that they are supposed to roll across the floor, but the roller ball at the bottom of the pet barely moves. My kids don't even play with it, but they love and play with all the other zhu zhu pet merchandise. In summary, I wouldn't waste my money or at least buy only one and try it out.

Good Luck!

Saw a huge selection of the babies, all 8 hammies, and assorted clothes & access at our BABW of all places just last weekend. That's the first time I'd ever seen the babies and admit their round plastic bodies left us unimpressed. I'd expected something more like the regular zhu zhus, or at least something with fur and a shape.

DD20 and I were laughing with the girls who worked there. Apparently they will be carried in all the BABW stores from what we were told by the manager. As she stocked the display she said she felt like she was cheating on BABW right there in the store where they could all see her betrayal...:rotfl2:

BABW- build a bear workshop

They have there there of all places huh? interesting.

That is kind of depressing about the babies being plastic. DD's birthday is first week of next month and wanted more zhu zhu stuff and babies. she wants the stroller very much with the babies. But if they are cheap and not great I will probably just get one and not put much stress on getting them.

We got our zhu zhu stuff at CVS too, before Christmas and they said they go quickly as well.

DD9 had wanted the babies and stroller when she heard about them but when she actually saw them, decided she'd rather save her money for something else. I want to say I saw a two pack of the babies but could be wrong. We didn't realize the babies actually did anything though. The ones we saw didn't look like they moved or talked. I guess we should have looked closer. I didn't think the prices were all that great but I guess not much worse than CVS or TRU - just not as cheap as walmart.

DD9 really liked the zhu zhu clothes too but it was $10 for one tiny pink dress she picked out and I'd rather buy an AG outfit for that - at least then she'd get shoes too...;)

Hi -

Any recent sightings of the zhu zhu babies? It seems I just missed them at my local Walmart as well as the local Justice stores (where I picked up a stroller there in case I found a zhu zhu baby) around here in South Jersey.

I'm trying to get one for my niece's birthday next week - any ideas?

Thanks!

I was hoping my daughter wouldn't see these 'Babies'...she did! Drat!! Now I am looking all over for them, at their retail price of $5. I see them on ebay and amazon but for double the cost!! Anyone know of another place to find them?

FWIW, I went to a Halmark store today to look and saw the sign for the hallmark exclusive zhu zhu bunny.... I was suckered into putting my name on the list for two!

When will this Zhu Zhu craziness end???

I found a couple of the babies in walmart last week. Of course I grabbed two of them. They are so dumb compared to the hamster. They don't talk, move or anything. My kids we're like wth:worship:. Hopefully the craze is over in my house.

Justice had TONS of them and I was able to use my 40% off coupon too. They had the stroller and a few other accessories and the babies and new hamsters.

In the store? I checked on line and they are gone.....
