Zebra Cake or Zebra Domes at Jiko

We always celebrate our anniversary at Jiko, and this year I want to do something different. I was thinking about ordering a zebra cake, or seeing if I could order zebra domes. DH loves white chocolate, so I think he would really like either one. Has anyone ordered either one? Do you have pics? I know they serve zebra domes at Boma, but I have no idea if I can get them as a special order at Jiko. Anniversary is in June, so I have plenty of time to place an order.

I would think that you could, if not they do sell them at The Mara (the AKL quick service)...zebra domes that is.

You can order Zebra Domes from private dining.

If you want to do the cake (or plan a bigger surprise), the dining "celebrations" number listed in the AKL private dining menu is 407-828-3200. Surely someone at the end of that line would be able to help you.

Cool, I think that's what I'll do. They always give us the pistachio creme brulee as our "celebration dessert," and I love it, so I'll get some zebra domes for DH. BTW, what ARE zebra domes? I know they are white chocolate w/ chocolate stripes, but what is on the inside?? DH loves white chocolate, so I'm sure whatever it is he'll like it!

As I recall, they are a mocha mousse type filling, with a small bit of cake as a bottom: I'm not sure ifthere is an alcohol component, perhaps someone else can comment.

I love Zebra domes- you can get them at Mara. The nights we are going to AK Lodge for dinner - I'm definately getting Zebra domes and bringing them back to my room.

Now that explains why I didn't think they were that great. We ate at Boma in March for the first time and I had to try a zebra dome after reading so much about them here. I didn't really care for them at all. WAY too sweet for me and just not tasty.
