"Yummy Nummies" - kids make-it-themselves gummy foods

So yeah, there's a new commercial on TV for something called "Yummy Nummies" where kids can make their own gummy bears/animals...gummy sushi, gummy pizza, gummy burgers (just add water - can't be any easier). Well, Emma (my now 7 year old) got a couple of gift cards for Toys'R'Us for her birthday and wanted to use some of it to buy a couple boxes of the Yummy Nummies. We got two varieties, and she decided to try the bears. In all honesty, it wasn't at all difficult. Two scoops of the powder,... 4 scoops of water, stir and pour into the mold. And then. Yes... and then...

We tried them.

I'd rather eat my own eyeballs.

Do not recommend.

Anybody else's kids try this yet?

My husband goes to Japan on business a few times a year and brings these home for the kids. They have fun making them but most of them taste awful.

not tried them but it's easy for kids to make their own (tasty) gummy sushi-just use fruit roll ups for the outer portion (green is great b/c it resembles seaweed), whip up some rice krispy treats to use for the "rice", and tear apart or cut up premade fruit treats for the "fish" inside the "rice". layer, roll and slice.
