Yuck!

Congrats! Toughest thing I have ever done. I miss it every day (I do not crave it, there is a huge difference), I "quit" (last pack I bought) Oct. 15, 2008 but had 1 smoke once a week (stolen from BFF who has since quit with me) until mid January 2009. I took Chantix for 5 months. I can smell the smoke from the guy in the car in front of me doing 80 mph on the highway or when our front office chick goes outside for a smoke, I know the minute she comes back and there are several offices and 2 air conditioning system zones between me and her! ;)
No, the OP did not that was a comment from another poster. The OP's complaint was they were stuck with them on the elevator thus the advice to get off at the next floor.

Thank you and congrats to you.

Thats where I got it from .

Ahh, I apologize, though I didn't read it as saying that they would cover their mouth and nose from the smell of a smoker. I know many people who cover their noses and/or mouthes when around people who are actively smoking. It is generally to avoid breathing in the smoke...

I don't get it,:confused3 why cover your nose and mouth with your hand to avoid the smoke? Unless you are holding your breath or have some sort of particulate mask on regardless of what you cover your nose/mouth with you will still be breathing in the stuff in the air.

I've always found the whole concept of covering ones mouth and nose rather comical. It's one thing to avoid smelling a smell its a whole nother to avoid breathing.

Kind of off topic but I am curious to the answer if anyone reading this does that

For me, it is an instinctive thing. The smoke (not just cigarette smoke) causes me to feel like I can't breathe. And I used to be a heavy smoker. :headache:

Rational? No. But I do it without thinking about it... :confused3

The smell of smokers doesn't bother me at all... :confused3:confused3:confused3

:flower3: No need, I've definately stuck my foot in my mouth before. Now why isn't THAT a smiley?
