Yu-Gi-Oh Cards in Japan, Epcot

Ya know...I work at Kids R Us, worked at Toys R Us while we were getting renovated, asked MANY children, and I still have no clue....

We went through a Yu-Gi-Oh phase with my son. They're weird cards with various characters that have special powers. You draw cards and use their powers to defeat your opponent's cards. When he watched the TV show, it seemed to me like they were making characters and powers up as they went along. I'm thankful we are past that one! Although he still buys Gundams there.

They are the obsession of my 2 boys! OY!!! I am forever picking them up around the house.

They are basically like baseball cards and I guess you can play games with them I dunno...I just pick 'em up!! First it was Pokemon now Yu-Gi-Oh.There's a cartoon show and the characters are on EVERYTHING from clothes to bedding these days!

Here's a website maybe you can figure it out!! If ya do let me know, okay?!?! ;)

I play the Yu-gi-oh card game with my sons. It is especially good for children in early grades, who are having trouble buckling down and learning basic math. They may make mistakes on their school exercises, but just try to trick a few life points from them during the game, their mental arithmetic all of sudden gets better.

We stumbled on this store on NYE at Epcot and my DS 8 was so excited because not only did they have the cards you find in any store, but they also had them in Japanese for alot more money! Of course they are cooler as no one else has cards in Japanese so he had to have them. We came home to all the new toys under the tree from Christmas but he sits for hours with these Japenese cards! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

We have them too!! EVERYWHERE. They are trading cards that you play a game with. Certain cards of course are much more desired than others and you might buy several packs before you get one card you need for your deck!! We have ssen those at Epcot but DS was not interested for some reason. We have had 5 or 6, 10 & 11 year old having dueling battles at our house several time. There are however many worse things and this too will pass. They grow up too fast.

Back in 2000, my son, then 9, was big into Pokemon. When we went to Epcot, we HAD to go to Japan for him to get a pack of Pokemon cards! When he got them, he was actually disappointed. They were the exact same cards he had always picked up locally BUT they cost him more money!! :earseek: I think he thought they would be something 'special', seeing how they were from "Japan". :crazy2:
