I've been "booed"! Too cute. Now I've got to "boo" a few.

I Boo'ed some ladies on another board...in the hopes of spreading the fun ALLLLL over the DIS!

One thing that might make it easier to post an image...when you reply to a post (or send a PM), there is an icon you can hit (looks like a pic of a mountain) above the response box (and below where you would change the font/size/color) that will automatically put the correct

I hope I don't lose my boo--I've been booed and put the HUGE image in my siggy instead of the correct one. I'm such a ninny!

I go to user CP..I put the url in with the correct brackets and img and stuff...but all I get is the infamous red X?

right click on bouncing mickey---select properties..copy URL and paste it into siggy..HIGHLIGHT URL in siggy--click on Image icon (looks like a mountain, I think the first button), this will put

and thus you should see it in your siggy. Just like your siggy image.

Go to "User CP"


Then "Edit Signature"

Click on where it has the font menu... the little mountain symbol, then type in the URL for the pic.

You can use mine if the other one isn't working:

This is dotting out some of the letters. After marseeya/ it is icon_mickey_halloween.gif

Did you try Bbgrizzle's instructions? Go back to her post #55 and give it a try - post again if you have trouble.

it's still not working..either way I just get a red X in a box instead of the jumping mickey...oh well...I can still Boo others..thanks!

I think some folks may see a red "x" because of possible spyware/antivirus/spamware type programs that block certain images from showing up. I get them sometimes on my computer at work...sometimes copying the URL into your IE address line will let you see it once, then it will show up in your siggie...hope that makes sense.

Go to user CP, edit signature

then highlight and copy the following URL:

paste the above into the edit signature section

then type the following in front of the above URL:

I tried all the ways you suggested..I even went in and temporarily disabled my virus protection..but all I get is the red X...but it's still a fun idea and I am passing the boo'ing around..have a great nite..and again..thanks to all who tried to help

here's another attempt to help...

go to edit your siggie, click on the mountain icon and copy and paste the following line into the little pop up that comes up:

http://www.intercot.com/discussion/images/smilies/icon_mickey_halloween.gif

it will put in the image tags and it should work.

If you get the red "x", copy and paste that same info into your IE address bar and navigate to that page and you should see the bouncing pumpkin. Hopefully, after you do that, you shouldn't see the red "x" in your siggie anymore. If you still do, I'm out of ideas...you might have to go to the tech board for more help...sorry.
